Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
OneMoSalah replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Rafa isnt even stupid enough to try and take on the Chelsea job with this current squad. -
We need to win, and to get our season back on track, maybe chanting AVB and Carlo's name will make the board realize what a bunch of mistakes they have made in the Abramovic era. Maybe Di Matteo could steady the ship, don't feel hes the right man tho. Still absolutely gutted about AVB, if he had the backing from everyone at the club he would of been fine. Makes me wonder will Chelsea ever appoint any big name managers/ talented up and coming managers again without them knowing they could be sacked half a season in

Oh yeah so he did. Still a terrible decision by the board, he won promotion with West Brom from the championship, while AVB won the quadruple with Porto.. major difference. Still cannot believe that the players seem to have pushed the manager out of the door.... again. -

Hope you prove everyone wrong and show them that you are going to be one of the best managers on the planet in a few years. Genuinely disappointed that you've been sacked and been criticized when it should of been the players but you deserve so much better than this so go prove every board member at Chelsea FC wrong! -
A new fucking owner please.

Seen this on Sky Sports earlier and was absolutely shel lshocked, not just that AVB had been sacked but that we had appointed Di Matteo who has had two shit managerial spells at West Brom and some other team. Does the board know what they are up to anymore? Sacking multiple talented managers who go on and prove why they shouldn't have been sacked. Infact Mr Abramovic, I dont care that your billions helped Chelsea to where they are today, you can fuck off. -
Is it any wonder he isn't being used as the front man in the attacking three? Cannot score the easy chances.
-
You know what, fuck it pay the 85 million, he would of scored them two chances Danny had today easily.
-
Funny how he says when hes sitting on the bench he wants to see Chelsea winning, well when hes on the fucking pitch hes not trying to help Chelsea win either... well not today anyway absolutely dreadful

Hulk said in the Daily Mirror: "We never know what is going to happen tomorrow. "I have four-and-a-half years left on my Porto contract but, as I have always said, if some day something good for me and for the club appears, I think there will not be any problem and a deal will be reached. "As long as it is amicable and good for everyone, I believe it will be concluded without any problem. If I do not leave, then that is fine." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7406121/Hulk-open-to-move Ok he didn't say for under the release clause but I'm guessing thats what hes hinting at...

Personally I would think if we got Hulk and Soldado, there would be no need for Hazard!
-
IN Robert Soldado Hulk Joao Moutinho Christian Eriksen Kyle Walker Out Fernando Torres Michael Essien Jose Bosingwa Paulo Ferreria

Don't see how some of yous can say Romeu is overrated, earlier this season he was our best midfielder. He used the ball well every time he received it, he also distributed it well to the attacking players and broke up many opposition attacks. The fact he had only played for Barcalona B before, he has made brilliant progress in my opinion but I'm sure he knows that he was going to play when Essien was injured more than anything, just hope AVB drops Meireles and gives him another run in the team. I think next year he will be playing much more regularly as AVB will start to reshape the team to his liking and Romeu is perfect for his philosophy.

Lololololol

Apparently he said he will move on for lower than release clause if the deal is good for all parties, so maybe we could get him for like a quarter of his release clause. The Porto president plays a lot of mind games I think, probably saying the release clause is 85 million to get well more than what it actually is. Porto won't want to loose Hulk obviously but look what happened with Falcao last summer, they said he will be staying, then he went for lower than his release clause, so it is possible we could get him in the summer.

First choice lineup for the rest of the season
OneMoSalah replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I would only change three things in that line up ! 1 No Torres, Sturridge upfront. 2 Ramires on the right wing. 3 Romeu defensive midfield with McEachran! -
First choice lineup for the rest of the season
OneMoSalah replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
A team full of Matas and Ramires would be awesome but since we live in the real world probably have to be... Cech Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Bertrand Romeu Essien Lampard Ramires Sturridge Mata -
Not an England fan but will be interesting to see who is in their preferred first 11 for the Euros. I'd imagine England would stick with 4-3-3 so here is who would be my starting 11... GK Hart RB Richards CB Cahill CB Jones/JT LB Cole DM Parker CM Lampard/Gerrard CM Cleverly/Wilshere/Milner (depending on each Wilshere/Cleverlys fitness) RW Sturridge ST Rooney LW Oxlade-Chamberlain Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sturridge over Walcott and Young every day of the week.

Dont think Piazon would be ready for first team football, maybe we could sign someone like Boateng from AC Milan or Moutinho from Porto, both creative with experience.
-
If AVB is sacked we go all the way back to the situation at the start of the summer. Roman probably starts thinking "Oh I'll be the manager" and phones Daniel Levy offering him 40 million for Modric... Anyway how could a club with a reputation of ours, possibly attract any managers that don't really care about a big pay day or a youngish manager trying to prove themselves to be our manager? I still don't know why we sacked Ancelotti and I fear that if AVB is sacked without being given a suitable length of time like most managers at other clubs, he will go to Inter Milan(as the Porto president stated) or another club and become a top, top manager. Basically the writing is on the wall that if we don't qualify for the Champions League, AVB will go.. highly likely but I hope he doesn't as he is a rare managerial talent and a risk that will come good if he overpowers the big superstar players and is able to sign suitable enough players for his tactics. He may have made some errors but he is 34, in football when have you ever witnessed a really young player, never mind a manager, not making a mistake? He has to be given the time he needs to adapt himself to Chelsea and English football and maybe think to himself "OK, maybe I did make a few mistakes back then" or "Maybe the current squad isn't suited my tactics" but I think he will find that balance in the up coming year or so if he isn't sacked. Then hopefully we will see the true potential of Andre Villas-Boas!

We are going to be very cautious I can already tell lol, probably sit deep like we did against Valencia and then hit them on the break, basically the exact same as what Napoli will probably do. Just hope that AVB picks the right team and not all these half wits who do nothing (eg. Malouda, Kalou, Torres and Bosingwa). The game is defiantly there for the taking if we perform much, much better than the last 2 or 3 weeks, especially defensively as Napoli have got brilliant attacking players (Lavezzi, Hamsik, Cavani, Inler, Maggio) who will punish us. Everyone says Napoli are brilliant at defending but I'd more say its the work ethic of the attacking players, getting back in to position, to help the defensive players out, rather than the defensive players themselves playing well. Preferred starting 11: Cech Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Bertrand Essien Lampard Ramires Sturridge Drogba Mata
-
I think the players efforts the last few weeks have been awful but yet they still have all this power over Andre. It is strange because I'm sure Scolari tried getting rid of Drogba, Ballack, Cech and Malouda a few years ago, which would have shifted the power balance for sure but it ultimately cost him his job (according to himself) and it will defiantly cost Andre his job if the players keep refusing to back his tactics and putting in shabby performances like the one yesterday against Birmingham.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I seriously hope Guardiola isn't appointed in the summer, as AVB would go somewhere else, like Inter (as the Porto president said) and probably be successful. As good as Guardiola's tactics are I don't think our current squad is capable of playing "total football" ... we still lack creativity for when clubs go all defensive against us, we cannot just rely on Mata. If Guardiola was appointed, would the senior players even listen to him? Everyone at Barca seem to just want to listen by the looks of their performances, maybe not this season but last season they where terrific bar the diving. I also seen a report saying AVB is only being backed by David Luiz, Ramires and Bosingwa... this just shows how big some of the current egos in the dressing room are. So if appointed what chance has Guardiola got to turn things around? If AVB is giving time, to reshape the squad to his liking, which I am sure he probably wished he done a bit earlier knowing what would of happened, he will be successful. The club needs players that want to prove themselves on a bigger stage and actually want to play for Chelsea, unlike half the idiots who put in half heart'd performances knowing they have basically achieved all they can. I think we have been lucky and unlucky, that only this year, we've seen that the squad is not capable of playing as they were a few years ago and hopefully we can get more younger, talented players in the team and personally I think AVB is more than capable of that. His Porto team from last year for example, yes he didn't sign them all but players like Moutinho, Hulk, Varela, Perreria and Falcao gained huge recognition from their successful campaign last season and they have/will move on to better things soon enough. We as a club, just need to stick with him and I'm more than sure Roman will give him this season and next at least to show why he is the right man for the job. Also the players efforts have been pathetic of late so it should be them who suffer instead of the manager, all he can do is give them tactics, hoping they put a good team performance in. -
Gutted he went to/is going to Bayern He was perfect for us, a left winger, young and talented. Plus he looked like he could play in the prem as he has quite a stocky build. Hopefully we can snap him up when he is developing nicely into a top top player
-
Think we will have to be very cautious, Everton do have a few decent enough players like Donovan, Cahill, Fellani and Jelavic(got the only goal we conceded in pre-season). AVB has to make sure he gets his tactics right though and I hope he sticks with David Luiz and Gary Cahill looked very good against Man United just unlucky with the last goal. I reckon this is the team that will start tbh, dont think Lampard will start because he probably isn't 100%. Cech Iva - David Luiz - Cahill - Cole/Bosingwa Meireles - Romeu - Essien Sturridge - Torres - Mata
