I think the players efforts the last few weeks have been awful but yet they still have all this power over Andre. It is strange because I'm sure Scolari tried getting rid of Drogba, Ballack, Cech and Malouda a few years ago, which would have shifted the power balance for sure but it ultimately cost him his job (according to himself) and it will defiantly cost Andre his job if the players keep refusing to back his tactics and putting in shabby performances like the one yesterday against Birmingham.

I seriously hope Guardiola isn't appointed in the summer, as AVB would go somewhere else, like Inter (as the Porto president said) and probably be successful. As good as Guardiola's tactics are I don't think our current squad is capable of playing "total football" ... we still lack creativity for when clubs go all defensive against us, we cannot just rely on Mata. If Guardiola was appointed, would the senior players even listen to him? Everyone at Barca seem to just want to listen by the looks of their performances, maybe not this season but last season they where terrific bar the diving. I also seen a report saying AVB is only being backed by David Luiz, Ramires and Bosingwa... this just shows how big some of the current egos in the dressing room are. So if appointed what chance has Guardiola got to turn things around? If AVB is giving time, to reshape the squad to his liking, which I am sure he probably wished he done a bit earlier knowing what would of happened, he will be successful. The club needs players that want to prove themselves on a bigger stage and actually want to play for Chelsea, unlike half the idiots who put in half heart'd performances knowing they have basically achieved all they can. I think we have been lucky and unlucky, that only this year, we've seen that the squad is not capable of playing as they were a few years ago and hopefully we can get more younger, talented players in the team and personally I think AVB is more than capable of that. His Porto team from last year for example, yes he didn't sign them all but players like Moutinho, Hulk, Varela, Perreria and Falcao gained huge recognition from their successful campaign last season and they have/will move on to better things soon enough. We as a club, just need to stick with him and I'm more than sure Roman will give him this season and next at least to show why he is the right man for the job. Also the players efforts have been pathetic of late so it should be them who suffer instead of the manager, all he can do is give them tactics, hoping they put a good team performance in.

Gutted he went to/is going to Bayern He was perfect for us, a left winger, young and talented. Plus he looked like he could play in the prem as he has quite a stocky build. Hopefully we can snap him up when he is developing nicely into a top top player

Think we will have to be very cautious, Everton do have a few decent enough players like Donovan, Cahill, Fellani and Jelavic(got the only goal we conceded in pre-season). AVB has to make sure he gets his tactics right though and I hope he sticks with David Luiz and Gary Cahill looked very good against Man United just unlucky with the last goal. I reckon this is the team that will start tbh, dont think Lampard will start because he probably isn't 100%. Have to admit Howard Webb played a blinder today.. for United. I wasn't sure we'd get 3 goals against United, some people think we got lucky, clearly not. Luiz's header was goal bound anyway and as was stated above their Malouda would of scored from Danny's cross. Mata's goal was unstoppable as well.... My increasing hatred for Danny Welbeck is unreal. He basically kicked Ivanovic's shin and then fell over and won a penalty. Have to admit at times we were second best but the back four played reasonably well until that last goal and I still can't believe De Gea pulled of that save from Mata's freekick, was unreal, the free kick was going in the postage stamp basically. Unbeaten in 2012 still but we could have closed the gap on Spurs with them playing Liverpool.

Looks like we have tried to set up a scouting system in the club now like the one at Porto which AVB is more than common with.

Knew AVB would go back for him, talented kid, good to see AVB is looking out for the future as well but I think KDB will have an impact next season if he is played

We should wrap this signing up and sign Douglas Costa from Shakhtar as well both quality players

See us edging this one 3-0 with Sturridge getting two goals if hes fit and Ramires with one if he starts, can see Torres being lively but I'm not sure if he will score.

We need to move for him before City do but remember David Silva and Robinho were both close to Chelsea moves before City blew us out the water with their 150k per week deals.. if we had got Silva as well imagine him and Mata in our team <3 If this rumor is in fact true and then we are blown out the water by City I will be fucking pissed

Even though JT is our club captain I think AVB has to experiment and play Cahill and Ivanovic together as center backs with Luiz right back (possibly) and Cole left back. JT is a legend for Chelsea but he has been caught out a few times this season so possibly resting him more could see that back four I mentioned above flourish together but we'll never know. Cahill and JT have looked solid together for England as well so I'd be happy to see both pairings tried

Yeah thats the only downside about the article I think Hazard would probably move to Chelsea to link up with Lukaku and Courtious in the future even De Bruyne supposing their all Belgian. So I'm going to hope!

Kind of makes sense though, Porto announced that Hulk's price is non-negotiable, so we move for Hazard instead.. could be right could be wrong, lets hope its right though!

Yeah hope that is true tbh ! Hazard is going to be a international superstar in the next few years, he needs to join a big club

Hopefully the new tax rules in Spain will put Lucas off a move to Real and he will join us!

AVB didn't make the right subs in my opinion, Essien should of came on but for Meireles. We were pushing for a second goal so why wasn't Sturridge or even Lukaku put on? How is Lukaku even going to get better if he is rotting on our bench? Bringing Malouda on as well.. for like 10 minutes is pointless or even bringing him on full stop is pointless. I'm always going to support the manager of this club but he didn't make the right tactical changes in my opinion

Played great today, just a pity he hit the bar with that overhead kick. The midfield didn't really help him in anyway the service was poor today

If De Bruyne arrives I dont think he will be loaned out tbh, well I hope not haha

He is a Chelsea fan so you can forget Liverpool signing him. Hes mad to play for Chelsea likely, just like Romelu Lukaku xD

You mentioned that signing a player who would have an impact straight away would rule out De Bruyne.. realistically De Bruyne would be able to contribute a great deal to the first team if he played instantly. He is deadly from set pieces, can cross quite well, sees defense splitting passes and has great pace and trickery, so if we shift Mata to the midfield and play De Bruyne on the left wing, we will create more chances in the middle of the park due to Mata playing there and I reckon De Bruyne would be able to contribute a great deal on the left with his eye for goal and crossing.

This game will be one of the hardest this year, Sunderland have been excellent under O'Neill and I think they will set out to try capitalize on any weaknesses so we will have to play very well to beat them ! I hope Sturridge is fit and Ramires must play !

He isn't a kid or a prospect, he is 26. Still a good player but we wont get him since he only moved in the summer.
