Totally agree. Pedro is the player who provides the width on the right or left (can play both very well as hes ambidextrous, can use his right as well as his left) for Barca, hes vital to them as he can stretch teams that are sitting compact.

Hes one of the only natural holding midfield players we have. If we are to continue playing 4-2-3-1, he has more a right to start in the pivot than Lampard, Essien, van Ginkel or Luiz, playing without a natural DM has given us problems in midfield. We only have Mikel and Oriol as defensive midfielders, one of the two should start there, with one of Ramires, Lampard, Essien or van Ginkel next to them.

Still better for the pivot than Lampard on the basis he is an actual defensive midfielder.

There is a great buzz around this lad, he sort of reminds me of Mata when he first signed as in hes very, very excited and seems as if he feels he's privileged to be at the club. He seems to have a good personalty too from what I've heard about him, similar to Luiz as in hes a very positive guy to be around, not a sometimes dodgy sometimes world class center back

Honestly Overmars needs to consider the fact Chelsea are playing in a better league than Ajax and have a better coach along with multiple better players. Hes bound to improve just by learning from the likes of Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, etc who all play in a similar position. Why would he go to Ajax when he could go to Chelsea to?
