Superb goal keeper. Hard to think about 4 years ago he was playing in the SPL with Motherwell and now hes an England international. If he'd accept the Turnbull role as I call it hahaha, then sure he'd be a great signing. Or possibly another keeper we could look at would be Ali Al Habsi, sure hes 29 or 30 but he'd do as a back up for a few years.

I dont think we will recall both Kalas and Omuero this upcoming season. We have JT, Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz and Ake all options at CB and potentially either one of Kalas/Omuero who could get some game time but having both of them here, one of them would struggle for games unless we get a lot of injuries and suspensions. Kalas can cover at RB which makes him coming back seem more appealing but there was a rumor Steve Clark was considering approaching us about a loan deal for him which would be an excellent chance for him tbh. Also the fact Vitesse are in the Champions League too next year could end up with him staying there but hes already had 2 or 3 seasons in Holland, I think a Bundesliga/PL loan would benefit him more.

Meh Shakhtar are getting a great fee for a decent enough player. Could suit Rodgers system though but I'm sure he'd rather not pay 25m for him.

Hazard is a number 10. His last two years at Lille he played centrally with large success. He basically carried Lille to the French title the season before he joined Chelsea. Sure he has the pace to stretch teams and is comfortable playing on the left wing but his best position is as a number 10. Hes not had many chances playing as a number 10 at Chelsea but with Mata who has been sensational in the last 2 years in terms of goals and assists and Oscar who is one of the most promising players in that position is it worth causing an upset? Hazard is comfortable playing left wing where as Mata isn't really as effective there and Oscar is also better centrally as opposed to out wide.

Can we stop considering Oscar as a CM please? We all know it won't happen for a lot of years yet.... or it might not even happen at all. He is better at dropping deep to link the play than Juan is, his work rate is superb, he has a good tactical understanding and can drop back and mark players out of the game like with Pirlo and Arteta. I'd like to see him playing centrally under Jose. With Schurrle coming in that means another option for left and right wing so hopefully we won't see Oscar there much.

There is that many rumors about hiding his tattoo's and its what Roman gladiators did when they were still about. Its crazy. He is a class player though, everyone who questioned him before the start of this tournament despite him having a bad season with Roma need to have a second look.
