Fekir is a second striker or a 10. We are going to 100% be playing 433. I seriously doubt United would sell us Martial as well. Hudson Odoi is a kid I really like but primed to take a spot in the first 11? Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

No way Real get rid of both Isco and Asensio. James is probably the only guy who they'd be willing to get rid of although I'm not sure why he didn't go to Bayern. He'd definitely be a target for Barca, Dembele is a top talent but theres been talks of a departure either perm or on loan and no way do Barca turn down an opportunity for a player in his prime at that level. Messi Suarez Hazard front 3 would be brilliant. Anyway regarding the Hazard comments, I think its fair to say his mind is made up and has been since last year when he rejected a contract offer. He hasn't even had a chance to meet the new manager yet and after all that blabbing about wanting big players etc and then he goes and drops that 6 or 8 weeks later? Could you imagine if it was Courtois who said that? He'd get slaughtered. I was quite sure he'd be willing to stay but that comments have just thrown me off that idea completely. I know he mentioned Sarri as well but quite frankly I dont think the original comment he made "you know my preferred destination" can be looked away from...

Aye same on twitter, they are butthurt, same as with Fred, Sanchez etc. I can't believe this whole Jorginho bullied to Chelsea story either, what a shower of shite, Pep is Pep but Sarri basically moulded Jorginho into the player he is today and I'd imagine 3/4s of that Napoli team would take the same chance to work under him again here than go to City. Delph? Delph is an average footballer, he is only at City to fill up a HG quota space just like Danny Drinkwater is here. Jorginho is a different class of player and even every one of those idiotic City fans know that. Also if they didn't dick around with their bids originally they'd have done it sooner, so they really should be blaming themselves. I think we got a bit lucky how everything just managed to be worked out alright in the last 48 hours in terms of the Sarri and Jorginho deals after god knows how much media speculation and other bullshit that was around the whole situation with Conte not being sacked etc earlier as well.
-
I think he will be fine with Sarri, he needs to start well again though because we seen last season it all got a bit much for him at times and that affected the teams performances as much as anything else due to missing guilt edge chances. Sarri managed to get through to a 28 or 29 year old Higuain, told him to lose weight, to not be lazy, to do more outside of the box, which led him to the most prolific year of his career as well as turning Dries Merten from an average wide player into a regular goal scoring winger/striker so I have no doubts about him getting a good return out of Morata because the ability is there to work with.

Still think if Real or Barca were to ramp up their interest his head would be swayed, regardless of what we do or who we sign. Fair enough most players probably would be and it would possibly be the last chance he'll have all the cards in demanding a move or not demanding one. I think he will stay but its not as black and white as it seems. I think the next few weeks we will need to keep plugging away at getting a few more players, not just any players obviously the right ones and also if Willian were to leave we'd have to buy somebody who is better than him for definite.

Guy is going to be key to everything we do under Sarri, as long as he succeeds here he brings our MF up another notch. Jorginho is going to be the brains, Kante will be Kante.. recovering balls, breaking the lines etc and now its interesting to see what happens with the 3rd MF player, if it will be Cesc further up or Barkley or somebody else entirely but like with Kante its scary how one very good signing can elevate a team. Don't expect us to stop there either, Rugani although I'm not 100% sure hes a better player than any of the defenders we already have has already worked with Sarri and obviously fits the mould of what hes looking for as well as a few other players. Reckon we will get another wide player too even if Eden stays.

Wont fit here under Sarri I feel based on what I seen of him last season and also in the world cup, hes a counter attack player, good at carrying the ball into space but has no real end product and 9 times out of 10 takes the easy option. Think he must go on loan again to develop his game, he is still behind in terms of where he needs to be and if Barkley impresses Sarri I can't see RLC sitting around considering Jorginho and Kante are going to be absolutely nailed on to start every week leaving one slot in MF for either Cesc, Barkley or that Russian if a deal comes off. -
Can't wait to see what sort of an influence he and Sarri will have on Eden Hazard if he stays this season. Potential match made in heaven.
-
Abramovich gets his Pep Guardiola in a sense of the football philosophy he will bring to the club. Surely this gives him a bit more hold than what some other managers have had because we all know how crazy Roman was for Pep and Barcelona. Exciting move although there is a bigger pressure on him here but if he gets that "Sarriball" football on the go here we are in for an exciting 3 years.
-
Most definitely fake. The collar and the fact Barkley already has the squad number 8, I doubt Jorginho will come in and just take it off him.
-
The wee guy wouldn't look out of place at Barca at all but I don't think we should even consider it. 300M starting price... haha but in all realism there are not many MF players to the quality of this guy.
-
Only think this happens if we've already agreed to move on Courtois, which I doubt considering hes still with Belgium, who could still end up deciding he wants to stay if the club shows intent. I get everyone talks about this passing out from the back but Courtois does it for Belgium, has done it for us under Conte with a back 3... I mean he isn't exactly Pirlo fair enough but is Alisson really that much of a better keeper, not only with his feet but in terms of shot stopping etc? He wasn't particularly impressive for Brazil at the WC where as Courtois was arguably their most important player in their last game because he made like 5 big saves. Plus if Courtois goes, I think Eden might be tempted to go too.
-
Odd hes rejected a move to Bayern, thought it would more or less be a formality after how often he played there. Maybe he will go back to Real? Who knows? Would take him here 10000% though, guy is an absolutely class footballer.
-
Not as easy as that though. If PSG don't sell Neymar (imagine paying 200m for a player and selling him a year later anyway?) there's no way Madrid pay his release clause considering its probably close to 400m euros. Either one of Mbappe and Hazard will be secondary targets. This whole thing is just gonna heat up too now Ronaldo is at Juve.
-
He has untapped potential I think. Regarding his weight, hes always been a bit heavy since his move to United and even more so after breaking his leg but hes posted an image on social media of him in Dubai with Uniteds strength and conditioning coach, it looks like hes lost a lot of weight and intends to keep doing so too. Fair enough the games he played last season his manager publicly criticised him (not sure Jose even understood why, I think he just likes to do that with certain players) and played Ashley Young at LB, but we've seen Jose here constantly stick with experienced average players over more realistic solutions (Ivanovic at RB instead of Azpi and not using Filipe Luis arguably one of the best LBs in Europe?) If we lost any LBs, I think under Sarri he would be a shrewd signing. I mean he was a top talent and if its any similar to the deal we got for Barkley, if we can get him for 15M and he doesn't work out, its no big loss but we already have Alonso and Emerson who I think will get a big chance this season.
-
Perhaps he is but right now hes played primarily as a wide player under Pep and he did at Monaco as well. I think if somebody as talented as Bernardo Silva (even if he is being groomed into David Silva's long term replacement) can't displace Sterling, what chance does Mahrez have? Also 67M? for a bench warmer? After spending 300m last summer on full backs, wingers and goalkeepers? No chance City are done spending and I reckon FFP need to seriously start digging into them too like they are intending to do with PSG.
-
Be interesting to see what Sarri makes of him. He strikes me as the sort of player who could do a similar job to Hamsik in that Napoli team.
-
Really? Would take Sterling over Mahrez every day of the week personally, Mahrez really has only had that one season where football went completely bonkers and Leicester won the league. Sterling has been an outstanding footballer since he broke onto the scene and I am quite gutted we were never truly in for him when he left Liverpool, last season he was outstanding, 20 goals from right wing...
-
Its pointless to even mention Messi because Messi has made a career of scoring goals and deciding big games by himself for 10 plus years... I get the context your trying to use but comparing Eden to Messi or Ronaldo, who have been absolute giants in cup finals for 10+ years is stupid.
-
We need to stop thinking like a second rate club and thinking of offloading good players purely for wages. Cesc still has plenty to offer here, Jorginho coming in gives us a proper controlling midfielder and frees him up to do the more offensive stuff hes good at. Even if Cesc is a bench player and comes on as an impact sub he got like 12 assists the first year under Conte doing that, it makes absolutely no sense to offload him especially now we've got an offensive minded manager coming in and a controlling midfielder to take the burden off Cesc in terms of dictating games from a deeper position, it will give him a chance to get closer to Eden, Morata, the other offensive players and combine with them as well as get into the box. Also do you think Sarri comes in, knowing hes got a player with Cesc Fabregas' skill set and bins him instantly? No chance.
-
Don't see it. Mahrez is nothing special. He will be a bench warmer for them. If Bernardo Silva can't displace Sterling then no chance Mahrez does it. When has Mahrez ever been better than Sterling?
-
Must admit, as much as I like him as a player, he will probably get more chances at Juve, I mean if we play 433 or even 343 if Conte stays or whatever he will have Cesc, Kante, Bakayoko, Barkley, Jorginho all to contest with. Even in more attacking positions again Eden, Pedro, Willian, Barkley again... it would be a good move for us to get him I think and gradually work him into the first 11, I think hes more a rotational option at present, an impact sub perhaps but he'd be a good one.
-
If he decides to leave I'd rather see him at Barca than Real. Also I think it would probably be his preference to go Barca over Real now Zizou is gone. Still think there's a huge chance he stays and resigns because if Sarri comes, works the team into his idea of football, brings Jorginho and a few others as well as possibly revitalise ageing players like Cesc, Willian, Pedro... its a different ball game all together.
-
Generally think Sarri will like Pedro because hes one of these players that can combine with players very easily, Also I think one of his best attributes is seeing space and moving into it, hes never been a player who is brilliant in 1 v 1s like Hazard or Messi or whoever but he moves off people and goes into space off the ball, if Sarri gets us playing the sort of football that he got at Napoli, Pedro will be kept I imagine. Its quite exciting actually to see if Sarri does have this sort of effect on many players we have, guys like Eden, Pedro, Willian, Cesc, Morata, Christensen, Emerson will thrive in his system I think. And yes Fekir is more a 10 or a second striker, I doubt he'd struggle as a right winger but its not his key position.
-
Regarding Costa, I think that is a huge mistake on Brazil's behalf but I remember a few other Brazilian members on here saying that they didn't want him or that they were glad he didnt play for Brazil, that he was average and hated him due to the fact he chose to change his national team etc etc. Still think Costa in that Brazil team would give them some real balls. The guy is just a brilliant footballer and on his day he sets the mood for the team, if hes up for it the whole team feeds off it. I'd hate to even see what Jorginho, Thiago and Coutinho in a MF 3 would do to teams, just wouldn't be fair haha.
