  1. ⁹To be fair its a 2 way street. Deschamps will complain as Giroud is his number 1 striker most times and isnt playing regularly enough and Frank will complain because Ngolo was there despite being injured. This is nothing new in regards to international and club football clashing.
  2. This will be a very tough game I think. Even for us being at home. They arent on the best run but they showed last week when their backs are against the wall they can perform. I am concerned about us at CB because the guy Joelinton is a very good physical number 9 who has shown promise for them this season. He can be very physical so I hope Zouma and Tomori are up for it. Plus Saint-Maximin is excellent in 1 v 1s, at carrying the ball up the pitch and Almiron has shown he can be a difficult player to play against as well as he is very quick and good in tight spaces. Wont be as easy as many will think so it is essential we get an early goal so they come out and attack us to open up more spaces.
  3. Honestly dont see the fuss. When Eden did it vs West Ham last season after scoring that goal dont think anybody had brought up there being any issue? Did any media outlets? Any opposition managers? Anybody? Also I severely doubt Lampard will be that annoyed regarding something so small that he will have spoken to Mason about it. If he has had to then I would be very surprised. Fuck me is football in this country getting even more softer than it already was or is? Cant cup your ear to opposition fans after scoring a goal... jesus christ, guess in another 10 years celebrations will just be wee high fives incase somebody somewhere gets offended. If he does it again I will not be giving one fuck regardless. As long as he keeps scoring, whatever works for him.
  4. If we are short at CB Guehi will maybe get on the bench.
  5. I don't see a problem at all. Seems like you are making a mountain out of a molehill. Honestly how many players do this a season all across Europe in different leagues? Hundreds? Never seen or heard one complaint or worry about it anywhere until now. If you score a goal your more than likely going to provoke the opposition fans anyway in some way so I am guessing next he shouldnt score? Incase he provokes people? Honestly it just seems ridiculous. Its very tame compared to what he could do so for me, just seems very very weird to find an issue with him provoking opposition fans by cupping his ears... I mean sticking the ball in the net against the team you supports rivals must be very satisfying regardless of what level your playing at in regards to professional football so for me, honestly, he could run about doing 39 cartwheels for all I care (as long as he doesnt get injured doing them 😂). I mean footballers yes they are rolemodels but fucking hell they are people too who are allowed to express themselves.
  6. Donovan? At Everton? Well if his time over here was well documented then I do feel sorry for anyone who had to watch that constant shit as he only played a handfulmore than 15 times in 2 loan spells and only scored 2 league goals, which by all means as a footballer in Europe, is rather shocking. People have tonhe patient with Puli, I mean in regards to the media coverage etc he has already eclipsed what he achieved in Europe as a footballer, they should ease off and let the guy develop rather than pinning the weight of a nation on him. Even if he becomes as good as he can he can barely brunt the shoulder of a whole NT a level below him, look at Messi with Argentina and hes the greatest player whos ever kicked a ball. Still excited to see what he does for us this season, he will get plenty of opportunities. I really dont see why theres any rush or panic about him already.
  7. Wait... what? Why? Should he not celebrate scoring against Southampton like that (he is a Portsmouth fan)? If hes going to stick the ball in the back of the net and not do anything overly stupid he can crack on celebrating like that. Dont see the issue.
  8. In regards to Emerson lets hope hes fully fit and not thrown back in when he clearly wasn't right... so yeah keep Alonso in for this game.
  9. Sancho is twice the player he is too in terms of potential. Peps thing for youngsters is mad. Thiago Alcantara for example, at Barca he used him sparingly despite him being excellent. I dont get what Foden stands to gain sitting in the bench at City any longer this season.
  10. Good to see the potential overreaction is out already. Fuck me. Why even write an article along those lines 😂 Pulisic is 20 Morata was like 24 when we got him. Criminal. Who lets this guy write articles? Who has even said about Pulisic being like Morata?
  11. Did you watch the video? My god. We will just agree to disagree then 😂 probably the only person who will say his passing range is ok...
  12. I mean for him to say "they wont sell him, not even for 500m euros" shows he rates him highly. Although if youve got a player who you publically said you wouldnt even sell for that fee then surely you play him? Regardless of age, nationality etc? It just baffles me. We had repeatedly got stick or comments made from the English media and pundits for not brining through youngsters yet Pep says something like that and the majority of them seem to eat it up.... absolutely ridiculous.
  13. 1-1, Rodrigo. Half decent record at NT level, 8th goal in 20 or 21 games.
  14. Theres being very talented and playing or being very talented and not playing. Foden made 20 odd apperances last season but if you calculate the minutes, many of them were more than likely 10 mins at a time in games that were done other than FA cup games which makes the English medias favourite manager Guardiola's claims "he is the most talented player hes ever worked with" and "David Silva's heir or replacement" even more fucking laughable. I mean for me, if he was good bad or whatever, he should of been off somewhere in the summer for a year of regular game time if thats the case. How much can you actually learn off someone like a Guardiola in the space of 4 seasons when youve only accumulated 39 games to put any of it into practice? Theres coaching someone yes but if they arent getting the minutes to apply it in a real match situation, then its difficult to completely justify it. If he was smart, he will be looking around at the likes of Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Connor Gallagher, Joe Willock, Eddie Nkeitah, Jay Dasilva, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jadon Sancho, Emile Smith Rowe along others who are in the u21s/have been with him and also the u17s who have gone out on loan and playes regularly/managed much more minutes at other clubs. Its absolutely baffling because if City dont win the PL this season as well I imagine they will go and sign another midfield player or shift Bernardo Silva into David Silva's role (who I thought was originally going to be Silvas long term replacement under Pep....) Pep is full of shit for me. He could easily play a young kid at CB from their u23s, Eric Garcia looks very promising, rated highly by Spain having been playing at u16s to u21s level, again Pep mentioned that he counts on him in January 2019 yet a good amount of months later they have an injury crisis and he uses Fernandinho.
  15. Hardly say its a blunder. I dont think Kepa or Lopez would of done any differently. Very good first and second save from close in. Why did nobody track Forsberg? Poor by Spain. Albiol, Martinez, Carvajal and Bernat hardly the worst back 4 but thats basic stuff.
  16. Crazy to think that is effectively Spain's B team. Some of the players no in the starting 11 or even squad is insane. No Ramos, Saul, Busquets, Morata, Alba, Gaya, Azpilicueta, Isco, Roberto or Alcacer but still have a very strong squad and even that first 11 tonight is pretty decent. 1-0 to Sweden though. Fosberg should be challenging De Gea a lot more there too.
  17. @communicate watch that and tell me Jorginho's passing range is only "ok" great wee video
  18. Good confidence boost for him.to be nominated. Also a lot more deserved than Foden (one of the most overrated young players in Europe imo, hes decent but hes hardly at the level Pep seems to rant and rave about, which is even more ironic because once Silva leaves there he will more than likely sign a replacement, especially if they dont win the PL) but can't see past Joao Felix or de Ligt for who actually wins it.
  19. Dont see why your saying he should take note he said something similar more or less. Not as if hes kicking up a fuss about not playing just said he was disappointed and would continue to work hard or something along these lines.... but I know the knives have been out for Pulisic since the day he signed.
  20. Still think his general play was very poor tonight despite 2 goals. Again he never really pushed the boundries, kept it safe and simple. Really worrying about him in the long run, needs to do much more with the ball for an attacking midfielder.
  21. It could of been just unlucky or an accumulation of a lot of minutes maybe. Its extremely concerning how often our players are getting injuries, big or small, so far this season though. Ive mentioned before regarding Kante, Emerson, Rudiger and it looking like a pattern. Hopefully ACs just got something small, like Reece got IIRC because when he has played this season he has impressed.
  22. Its odd. Theres no doubt he may learn from players around him at Leipzig and develop well under Julian Nagglesmann who is N incredibly talented coach but he still has to play. Luckily Ryan Giggs has played him in almost every international match since taking over but playing twice every 3 months isnt any use but then hes still getting something than nothing. Think its still a better league than the championship where he will improve technically, tactically and also physically. Look at Serge Gnabry too, when he first moved to Hoffenheim on loan, it took him a while to get a regular run in the team, that one season he was loaned there he ended up making only 22 Bundesliga appearances when there are close to 40 games each season in the Bundesliga. Ethan may get a chance yet due to an injury, its too easy to write the move off, and maybe the club will re-evaluate the situation in January because if hes only played for Wales regularly in the last 6 or 7 months then theyll be concerned.
  23. Yeah but do you really think international teams are as bothered about club level and vice versa when it comes to the competitive international games? Hes one of their best players, if there was to be a chance, theyd want him there to play. As would we if the PL was in a similar format to international qualifiers. His injuries this season have been very concerning though.
  24. Selling in January would be a huge mistake. Still a much better option than Batshuayi for me. Plus cant bring anyone in. His comments in that interview are hardly bad either. He says he doesnt accept his role, which has been on the bench/not in the 18 most weeks so its completely understandable because other than a back up GK or young kids breaking through, if they accepted this role youd be questioning their desire and hunger for the game. So yeah, I really have no complaints with that interview as he hasnt criticized anybody or made excuses. He also made a very classy comment towards Tammy and his form about a month beforehand when asked about not playing so people with an issue with these comments, I really dont see why. I mean the guy is a world cup winner and has been pretty reserved and humble in to regards with his role this season other than that interview and bit before regarding Tammy which was pretty classy. Just think about it, he could be kicking up a huge fuss but he isnt, so fair play to the guy because remaining professional while not playing every week, after having that same issue at Arsenal and even in spells last season, youd maybe think hes getting sick of it and obviously this situation, it can affect players differently.
  25. I dont think Lampard can take a great great deal of credit for Jorginho's so called improvement. He was very good in the last 15 to 20 games of last season in the PL, cups and Europe as well with Maurizio and also for the Italian national team. Hes simply just built on that since Lampard's came in which okay he can take some credit as the teams maybe not playing the same style but again, I think theres much more of a favourability towards Lampard in the media in comparison to what Sarri ever had, I mean just look at how Sarri got crucified regarding Kante's position for the first 3 or 4 months here although: 1) Lampard has also used Kante in the same position/role in big games this season and a word hasn't really been said about it. 2) Kante has never ever played as a fixed pivot infront of the defence in the PL other than the first 4 games under Antonio prior to changing the formation. 3) If you go back to Kantes time in France playing for Caen, he has played in that role. I am sure in Frank's first presser as well that was one of the first questions he was asked as well although anybody who watched from however far in (after the original teething problems he had adjusting to the philosophy), will have seen Kante play consistenstly and also thrive in that role in some very key games. Particularly against Tottenham and Man City as well as other games against smaller teams. Sarri wasnt perfect I know this, we all do but its fair to say the 10 months or so, if you watch the games back, particularly Jorginho he has been at a really high level but pundits and medua were digging in on him a lot based on a 2 month period where the whole team struggled. Ironic as it was almost exclusively British ones on both regards, who I think can be very limited and biast in their judgements. I dont think Jorginho would be as highly rated by the likes of Sarri, Mancini and Pep among others if he was just an average player, like the British media and pundits painted out at times. You can also see Lampard has a great deal of admiration and respect for what he can do in terms of on and off the pitch, hence why he has made him his vice captain and probably based on his experiences and attitude on the pitch regardless of his ability, rightfully so which is a brave call for Frank as well as Jorginho has still only been here since last summer.
