Haha. 7 is Saba in arabic as well, though we don't have any "unlucky" numbers despite generally being very superstitious people. Btw, are those numbers confirmed yet or are they still speculations?
What's this I hear about plans to loan him to Palace? I really think he should stay here this year, play with the U21s and participate in the NextGen league. And with Lukaku loaned out, he could seriously get some minutes with the first team in Carling cup matches and some 10-15mins sub cameos.
You can't really pin his failure on that single penalty incident. If he was really affected that much by one penalty miss then he is probably too weak-minded to make it at this level anyway.
A 25m price tag is as good as saying he is not for sale. I think he is in the boards and RDM plans, he (and the fans for that matter) just needs to be a bit more patient.
28. Hope Cesar gets a some minutes in the Super to get his confidence up and let us all get a first glimpse at him. (And I mean his footballing abilities, not his smile )
I admit I did not follow Napoli's signings too closely, I just hope you don't miss Lavezzi too much; he looked like the guy who could change a game when you needed to. Anyways, good luck, hope you get that CL place.
Yup, it is a cup final after all. No idea why, but I'm already starting to get nervous about this match. I really want us to win this and the world cup because we don't always get the chance to play those games.
@Solonapoli, great start mate especially away against Palermo! But the season is still young and your squad was weakened in the summer, do you think you can compete for a CL spot this year?
You just know Coutoise will have an absolute blinder against us. Anyways I don't buy all those lineups with Oscar and co. RDM will just activate 'cup final' mode again
Hard not to hype Eden, but I feel we must try our best to not overreact to his early performances no matter how brilliant they have been. Tougher tests against much stronger opposition still await Eden and he still has points to prove.
Our board has been amazing this transfer window, but keeping Essien is a huge mistake imo. We can still get a good 8m for him right now, but if we don't sell him now we will have to let him go for free and pay his wages till the end of his contract.
Many rumors today that he will be leaving to Marseilles on a season long loan with an option to sell next season for 7m. Though no reliable source is reporting it yet. Anyways it's his fault things got to where they are today. We got into a lot of trouble for signing him but his attitude proved that our confidence was misplaced.
Skinned the Liverpool defense and score, completely destroyed the spuds, and that's just in the first two matches of the season! If he performs similarly against Arsenal and the Mancs he'll be welcomed back to Stamford Bridge a hero.
Good to see him consistently getting 15-20 mins of match time. If RDM keeps giving him those chances plus a few odd starts in the Carling then I'm confident he'll be ready to start in the league in a year or two.
