  1. I think he is. Either case, there's only one way to find out. :eyebrows:
  2. Merry Christmas to all. Personally, I don't celebrate Christmas but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the spirit.
  3. Playing Chalobah would be the best option in my opinion. We need Romeu in the middle and I wouldn't risk Bos in there again.
  4. I would prefer he went to Swansea as well. The football they play can really help Josh develop.
  5. That's because a couple of years ago, Kompany was 23 years old and still in development. He still hadn't reached that list yet. I would be very happy if Gary proves me wrong.
  6. I think he is "good" but nothing more. Meaning he will never be classified among the JTs and Vidics and Kompanys and the sort. But then again very few are. That does not take away that he is a very good and fairly consistent defender. Now, seeing as he only has 6months left on his contract, 5-7m seem about right for him. If it weren't, then why would Bolton accept? Coyle is not stupid.
  7. I can't believe Juve lost first place. I knew it was bound to happen, but just before the winter break is a real mental blow. Stupid matri is to blame for the 0-0 draw vs Udinese, Conti would've been better off starting a wooden stick instead of him. There is a better chance of the ball bouncing off a stick and ending up in the back of the net than of Matri scoring the way he was playing.
  8. You never know, uncle Roman may have a surprise for us.
  9. All the reports today are claiming it's a done deal. I'm happily surprised that our club is finally finishing deal early on. Let's hope it really is a done deal and not another Neymar.
  10. Whether we want to get him or not, I just hope we make our decision soon. We shouldn't leave our signings to the last minute like we always do.
  11. You forgot to mention that despite all this, he still gets a call for the England squad.
  12. Yes, I'm thinking of buying a Gary Cahil for my nephew for Christmas! (Sorry, bad joke)
  13. I hate to be the pessimistic one here, but he's 26, any potential he may have must have been realized already because he is supposed to be at the peak of his career at the moment.
  14. Napoli officially sign Vargas in a reported 12m deal. http://www.supersport.com/football/italy/news/111223/Napoli_sign_Chile_striker_Vargas Great signing for 12m, though why he chose to go to Napoli over Chelsea and Inter beats me. Now that they signed Vargas, does that mean that one of their forwards is leaving the club? ( *cough**Cavani to CFC**cough* )
  15. It depends on how you view it. It gives almost any club the possibility of signing any player (if they can afford his transfer fee of course). I don't see that as a disadvantage. Besides I'm not saying they should put the players on minimum wages. I just think we need a something to keep the player wages under control for the sake of the clubs and all of football. Me and RZA were discussing today (in the Gary Cahil thread I think) how the fact that Chelsea gives some players ridiculous wages makes those players more powerful than the manager himself sometimes.
  16. Every team, no matter who the coach is, gets a bad result every once in a while. The team also gets amazing results like the ones against City and Valencia.
  17. Sadly, I don't think even a Christmas miracle can help us there.
  18. I'm not always getting a notification when someone quotes me. Anyone else having this problem guys?
  19. So true...I just hope the club starts to realize that, especially with FFP rules coming to action soon.
  20. I love System Of A Down. But then again I love to eat uncooked potatoes!
  21. I agree that Cahil is not worth more than 5m, in fact I've been saying all along that he is being hyped by the media. By my point was: when was the last time (before this summer) that we did not over-pay for a signing?
