  1. I really doubt he's going anywhere unless he has for some reason requested a loan/transfer.
  2. Haha. But being a millionaire famous footballer certainly does help. Peter Crouch was once asked: "If you weren't a footballer, what would you be?" To which he answered: "Probably a virgin!"
  3. Wow, she's way out of his league! Remember how he used to dress when he first arrived here? I can't find any pics put it was hilarious! PS: It appears her name is Olga Diyachenko:
  4. Can't believe I'm missing our first game at the bridge this season I expect the same XI that started against Burnley with Luis making a debut off the bench.
  5. You mean the guy who has been for 3 years saying all the things he (and his father!) should not be saying or have you forgotten about that? On any account, that is NOT what he would have been coached to say. If any he was indeed coached he wouldn't have said that he wants him to stay; he would have been asked to not take any stance on the matter. something like: -He's fantastic player -I don't know/he hasn't spoken to me about his future -Either way I need to work hard in training to try to keep my place. "I want Petr to stay" and "I could learn a lot from him" are certainly not something he would have been coached to say.
  6. I think he has to. With us playing 4-3-3 and Oscar and possibly even Willian being considered as CMs, he won't get many minutes on the pitch.
  7. Then give an example of where they have distributed well from the back. Garry has a good shot on him but his passing is just about adequate for a CB, Iva is below that. JT is the exception, English CBs are not generally good passers, they're not used to playing from the back and Garry is the same. I would not have them as our main CBs for a prolonged period. PS: For someone who "hates being patronized", you sure try to do it yourself a lot!
  8. Luckily, Thibaut disagrees with you: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2729432/Thibaut-Courtois-wants-nice-Petr-Cech-stay-Chelsea-despite-losing-No-1-spot-Blues-young-Belgian-goalkeeper.html
  9. It doesn't matter who was in the pivot (both Luiz and Ramires naturally drop to receive the ball). Swansea had the front two press our CBs and they had the first bank of four just behind them. Cahill and Iva simply don't have the ability to pick out the pivot players under pressure hence why they ended up hoofing it to no one in particular or play it back to the keeper who would himself do the same. And we created next to nothing in that match. We could have played another 90 minutes and not score.
  10. The goals that came in that match had absolutely nothing to do with who was in midfield or in goal. They came because of Iva and Cahill's inability to distribute the ball from the back. In the EL final we played with 10 men behind the ball for the vast majority of the game; distribution from the back was not an issue hence why I originally said it will be an issue to pair them together if we're going to build from the back.
  11. Loan move would benefit no one. The reason we want him to stay is to be Thibaut's backup while he settles in and the reason to sell him right now is because his value will decrease till next summer. A loan would mean that he is not here to be backup for Thibaut but his value would still go down. Makes no sense, imo.
  12. I disagree. I think if we play that match a 100 times with the same lineup, we'll give away similar goals in 90 of them. In that very same game there were 3-4 close calls from both Gary and Brana. It's very simple, they both don't have great technique on the ball and they had their passing options cut down by Swansea. It was only natural that they end up losing the ball in dangerous areas. Granted they'd have more passing options if we continue with the 4-3-3, but I still think it's a major disadvantage to have two CBs who are incapable of distributing the ball well from the back unless we play Drogba up top and have them hoof it.
  13. If we're going to build from the back, Iva-Cahill partnership is very worrying. Neither can distribute from the back. Remember the League Cup semifinal against Swansea? If the opposition press them, we're screwed.
  14. More importantly, why are stalking my tweets and posts?
  15. Wrong signing for them. Why would any manager want someone like him in his dressing room?
  16. That would be 10 million pounds per year. Why in the world would they do that?!
  17. This season, JT must get more rest than he did last season which would mean Iva playing a lot of games at CB where I believe he is at his best. I think the plan by Jose is to eventually have Azpi and Luis as starters, or else it would make no sense to stop Ake from going out on loan just to have him as 3rd choice LB.
  18. That's who he looks like! Thanks, it's been bugging me since yesterday!
  19. They're also one of the rare teams in the championship that play flowing possession-based football. I don't think it could get them promoted, but it makes them a great place to have youngsters on loan at.
  20. I heard an interview with him after the match against Leeds and he seems to really rate him highly. I honestly think this would be a good move for him. I hope he doesn't decide to go somewhere he won't get any minutes just because of the name of the club.
