No, I watched the match (as I'm supporting Algeria in this AFCON) and thought he was sloppy. The stat was just to back it up. Yes, he did well to create a few chances, but he should not be giving the ball away as easily as he sometimes did. Algeria have been playing pretty badly and well below their potential which they showed in the WC, but credit to Ghana who executed their match plan to perfection even if they did get a bit of luck.

Did he play? Was he good? When are you going to buy him?

His start against Cardiff was literally his second in two seasons! He's probably just not physically fit to start another game so soon.

Very sloppy at times, though. I read he had the lowest pass completion rate on the pitch.

Why so upset? I feel like you have a "size complex"

I think we all are to a certain degree. Mario Pasalic for example has been a nailed on starter for Elche all season where he has been moved to a central midfielder role rather than attacking one and has, I read, been doing rather well. But he seems to be completely forgotten by Chelsea fans (and maybe even management?).

Obviously if that happens we'd have to make signings to the the U21s. Imagine someone like Ola Aina playing competitive football in the championship!

Garry Cahill is a good player to have on the bench and have come in for rotation or in case of injury. That has been my opinion of him since day one of his Chelsea career and 3 years later it is still exactly the same.

Every time we are linked with a player, he immediately gets both incredibly over-hyped and incredible underrated on here (and other forums, I'd imagine). For the people asking and making comparison about his style, he's not similar to Willian nor Schurrle. If I had to compare his style to someone, it would be Victor Moses. Obviously he's better, but the styles are similar. He's very good at tracking back, physically strong, with decent pace and dribbling with a bit more flair than Moses. I don't expect him to score a lot more often than Willian in our system and certainly not more than Schurrle. But he's someone who I think Jose can rely on to do a job but like I said before, I have my doubts about how much impact he can really have at a top club. This is a completely different challenge than Fiorentina. The price is completely over the top, but I guess that is to be expected in the winter market..

Better yet, imo, the FA clear it up by turning U21 teams into B teams that can compete in lower leagues. But that's just the AVB in me speaking

That's completely besides the point. It's not his place to talk about fans in a negative way. On the contrary, one of his responsibilities as the manager is to reflect a good image of both the club and the fans. You don't go call your overweight boss a "fat wanker" and tell him he wishes he was as fit as the rival company owner because "it's true".

Him and the rest of Burkina Faso tried absolutely everything in their power to NOT score. Such a weird match.
