  1. Bleed Blue and Phil, what is it with you guys' vendetta with Mikel? I'd love to see Mikel get his arse out of this club as much as anybody else, but it's quite redundant and boring to see a post from you guys almost every day on this thread, repeating the same statements on how Mikel is shite or how he is on his way out. We get it, there's no need to keep informing us.
  2. Tottenham are so fucking gash, they never ever looked like scoring. How they're going to cope without Bale is beyond me, even with their new signings (which haven't been enough anyways).
  3. If there's a man that you can never question the passion and commitment of for this club, it's this this one.
  4. Torres is so awful on the ball, it's pretty ridiculous to be honest. He'll show some good pace and acceleration, but when the time comes for him to make that final pass/shot or to get past the last defender, he usually fucks it up in miserable fashion.
  5. Ivanovic was fucking awful yesterday. It's not his fault though, he's a centre back first and a right back second, which is why Ronaldo/Marcelo tore him a new arsehole throughout the night because of his lack of pace. The period right after the start of the second half up until Ronaldo's second goal was good though, and we can definitely take positives from that. A bit disappointing, but it's been a very good preseason overall.
  6. Mate in Ancelotti's autobiography, he stated that we wouldn't have won a thing the year we won the double without Ray. He probably will never be as influential as somebody like Steve Clarke, but there is no denying the impact that he had on our side. When he was sacked, that was the beginning of the end for Carlo.
  7. He's definitely not as pacey or energetic as he used to be, but as he showed last night, he can still deliver solid performances, contrary to the "no knees Essien" tag that some of our members have slapped on him
  8. Moses has been brilliant so far, but Hazard's been incredibly frustrating.
  9. Easy? You realize that there's a lot of pressure on the manager to succeed (not only domestically), but also in Europe? One bad season and I bet Carlo's out the door.
  10. Gruesome stuff. Quartering people should stay in the 1200s
  11. None of this makes any sense. Last I heard, he wants to leave England. It's the British press that he can't stand/blames, so it would be extremely illogical for him to make a move to a rival club in the country that he wants to leave.
  12. Horrible cunt, I don't care how many goals he would score, I want him as far away from our club (and England for that matter) as possible.
  13. I really hate the massive amounts of overrating of Mourinho that goes on in these boards. If I didn't know better, judging from people's posts, I would have thought that he was an actual mind reader and genius, capable of turning shit to gold with a clap of the hands. People need to realize that while he is one of the greatest managers in the world, that he is only human and is not as great at improving individual performances and attitudes as they think he is.
  14. While he's a good manager and a top bloke, I don't think he will last very long at Madrid. Look at the team that he had at Milan. Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Nesta, Cafu, Seedorf, Maldini, Gattuso, Pirlo, etc etc etc. World class players all over the place. He had a fabulous squad and while he did win the Champions League twice, to only win one domestic league trophy in his tenure there is quite disappointing. While people might say that the likes of Roma and Juventus had a brilliant team (which they did), it's not going to get any easier going up against Atletico and Barca, so I do think he will need a miracle to succeed there. I do wish him the best of luck though, because he is going to need it.
  15. I don't have a good feeling about this move if it happens.
  16. Another thing, when he isn't too far back, he goes too far forward, which gives so much space to the opponent to work with in the zone between midfield and defence. Man City in the FA Cup semi final and Southampton away (where he was pressing their centre backs for whatever reason) are prime examples of this.
  17. Silly boy, I'm willing to bet that he was pissed out of his mind
  18. He did quite well and I believe it was a mistake to sack him, but I don't particularly regret it when you look at who came afterwards. That semi final in Monaco still hurts though.
  19. Exactly. He said he didn't rate it. He dismissed it and then he proceeded to get run over by Kazan in that very competition with a shambolic and lazy display. The fact that he was dying to get his mitts on the trophy (ala Bosingwa) when he had fuck all to do with the winning of it was a fucking joke. Of course he's going to show heart in the CL campaign. Who wouldn't? But I can also give you plenty of games where he trotted around the pitch with no real urgency. That's the problem. He doesn't give it his all in every single match, which is not the type of attitude I want to see from a Chelsea player. You can have all the skill you want, but when you lack the proper mindset, then just forget about it. No, I am basing my statements on what I have seen from him ever since we signed him in 2006, not just one season.
  20. Our previous experiences with buying world-class strikers for incredibly high prices have not worked out very well, and I would hate to see that occurring yet again. Quite honestly, I would rather have that 54 million spent on two midfielders and a centre-back. Lukaku, Torres, and Ba will hopefully be enough (emphasis on Lukaku).
  21. Well that's because Luiz was showing excellent performances consistently throughout this year and has been by far our best CB while Mikel showed absolutely atrocious performances this year, not mention him talking shite about the Europa League before following that statement up with an absolutely disgraceful display at Kazan.Mikel and Luiz' attitudes are polar opposite. One has heart and gives 110%, despite a lapse in concentration here and there, while the other has a history of being a stroppy cunt. If 10 mil is the best that we can get for him (and it doesn't even appear to be true), then we might as well keep him around for some depth and cover in central midfield.
