If he goes with same team as Wednesday then it's adios Champions League for another season!

Twitter has already been running a trend to boycott sky sports since the news broke this morning and it's well into the thousands.Sky Sports News have also been bombarded with tweets and e mails from football fans expressing their disgust and disaproval at Neville's appointment. I don't think Neville saying "take a bow son" will sound as right when Mr Gray was bellowing that line! and i doubt he'll have the nouse to operate those stupid machines vacated by Gray.

Might be an idea to start Benayoun with Torres tomorrow,might get him(Torres) scoring and will get Benayoun ready for Tuesday.Would also be a good idea to play Alex at some point tomorrow as well. All footballers swear on the pitch,but what footballer takes his aggressions on a TV Camera where thousands of kids at home are watching? (who for some reason idolise Rooney).but to make matters worse,Rooney doesn't swear once,but TWICE and with intent. Not in my good books atm but i certainly don't want to see Torres made a scapegoat.I've always said on this forum that i will judge him from next season and i still stand by the assumption that he must be benched for Tuesday,this game is just too important to start with a striker that is yet to score for us,regardless of his price tag.That is something the media keep drumming up and a subject that i will not get drawn into.

My thoughts on Wednesday night Carlo's team selection/starting line up-wrong.Should of gone with Anelka and benched Torres,brought Anelka and Malouda on too late anyway. Overall performance?.Average.Drogba huffed and puffed but with no end product and no assistance,let Man U run midfield for some spells in the game.Bosingwa's crossing/distribution was woeful-he is beginning to frustrate me to breaking point. Should of had penalty but as Rio said on ITV "it's swings and roundabouts" even though there was an "assistant official" behind the goal line.but we should not make that an excuse of an abject performance and poor,flat tactics from Carlo. Watching Torres was painful,it's as if he's trying too hard to score.Drogba would of buried that header or that shot before half time that Lampard frantically tried to tap in the rebound.Torres's confidence is very much below par,not welcoming news for Tuesday,must be dropped from starting line up. Man U were nothing special but took advantage of the space we allowed them and that spelt trouble. Can we turn it around on Tuesday?.Of course we can.This tie is by no means over yet but we must play the right team. Rumour has it Alex is back training,Rio only trained for a day,when he was meant to be out for the rest of the season!.If Alex is fit he MUST play on Tuesday,regardless of match practice with Ivanovic being moved to RB.I would like to see Benayoun play some part on Tuesday,even if started on the bench.He will give us an extra option if we are still chasing a goal. We can still win this tie,it will be tough but with the right attitude,the right discipline and the RIGHT team we WILL win on Tuesday.Have faith!

Can't really see Malouda's problem with Torres tbh.If it is a problem then Malouda needs a serious talking to!.

Well they were doing it to us in November and December,especially December.So what goes around comes around or vice versa!

Who still wants to see Ancelotti sacked now? I said over a month ago,have faith,be patient,we will get over this slump and our form will return. November and December was hardly our fault as we did have alot of key players missing and our bench was merely made up of kids. Had of we had our missing players available in November/December,we would be absolutely smashing the Premier League table. Still want to see Ancelotti sacked?

The next Ashley Cole=Fabio Contreao.Another Benfica player that should be on our radar.PVA is a very decent backup player but Contreao is simply world class.

Brilliant win for us.We just pressed and pressed and we all knew City's resistance would eventually give in.Well taken goals from Luiz and Ramires who is rapidly getting into my good books. Torres also had a good game,despite not scoring.He made good runs,good touches and got into scoring positions.It's only a matter of time before he does start scoring and finding his form.Also i agreed with Ancelotti's substitutions.Drogba became effective once he came on,as did Anelka.We became more threatning from that moment. Credit to City.They defended very well and solidly,but maybe their previous game against Kiev was a game too much for them. And hey,Balotelli finally mastered putting on a bib! Happy days!

Reading were absolutely crazy to sack Rodgers.Rodgers learnt from alot of old and good heads when he was reserve team manager at Chelsea.Reading will live to regret as it's all for there to see what an amazing job he's doing at Swansea.

This is a major PR Car crash by Capello.As mentioned before,he should NEVER of stripped Terry of the England captaincy in the first place as it wasn't for football reasons and it's not like Wayne Bridge was still involved with the slapper that Terry shagged. Back to the main topic,although i'm pleased for JT getting the captaincy back,i can't really see what the fuss is about.The England captaincy in football is not as important and responsible as it is in Cricket and Rugby,where the captain does have a say in team selection and tactics. Overseas and the rest of Europe,nobody gives a monkeys on who's their national captain,though it's normally the player with the most caps,or the oldest/most expeirenced player. Capello has done himself no favours and the way he has disrespected Terry,the rest of the England team AND the England fans is a step too far and his position as England manager has surely become untenable. If Capello had an ounce of self respect he would of walked nearly 9 months ago in Blomfontein!

A brilliant loan debut for Borini,and here's hoping it is only a loan.I watched his goals last night on The Football League Show(BBC 1) and was very impressed on how fast he was and what an eye for goal.Shame he didn't bag a hat-trick as that performance deserved one. While on that game,what a goal by Scott Sinclair.Another one we let slip through our fingers.Lets hope we don't make the same mistake with Borini!
