Tbh,any politician that becomes PM is just as bad as the last one. They're just in it for themselves,to line their own pockets and to increase their own public profile. They simply have their heads up their own arses and have no understanding about the real world. Don't get me wrong,i do believe one has to better themselves if they want to get ahead in life and one should spend within their means, but what i don't tolerate is being punished by astronomic taxes and price hikes in food, petrol and other utilities such as electricity. We're all suffering hard times one way or another, but these politicians are by no means making things easier for us,and i can't see things getting better anytime soon.

I see your point.Maybe wishful thinking on my part.

Player ratings are so out of date and should not really be taken that seriously. Football Journalists always have their 'favourites',and will always give them top marks, even if they do have 'average' games. You wonder at times whether they're watching the same game as us!.

Not that i'm blaming Cech for yesterday, but maybe we do need a keeper to keep Cech on his toes as there's not really that much competition in his department. I would like to see Shay Given or the Fulham keeper(Stockdale) arrive as a No2 to Cech,as Turnball hasn't been involved in that many games to be so competitive. Given although hasn't had much games this season,is a proven shot stopper, while Stockdale is definetley one for the future. But i laugh at anyone who suggests that Cech hasn't been the same since his injury at Reading back in 2006.He's still Chelsea's No1 by a mile.He just needs competition,i feel.

His fault for joining Liverpool. You reap what you sow! That was the problem. The midfield just didn't create.Drogba was like a little lost dog,out on the left side and could not get into any scoring positions.Liverpool stuck to Torres like flies round shit.It was obvious what they were set out to do.Mikel's early first half booking meant he had to watch his step.Carlo should of brought Malouda on at the start of the second half and maybe should of left out Bosingwa, who yet again didn't have the greatest of games.

Indeed mate.Luiz did look sharp and positive.Could of started imo, with Ivanovic going to RB.Quick note.Notice Dalglish hugging Steve Clarke after the game?. Clarkey's reaction-"OK ok Kenny, calm down","i can't show my enthusiasm too much","remember","i used to play for these lot"!!.

Mate, hope it all goes well. Was great to of known you, albeit a brief spell because of my absence on here. Do check back whenever possible. KTBFFH

Good stuff G.This man is increasingly becoming as annoying as that other 'celeb' politician,Blair. We need an Egypt of our own,for sure. This country is more and more going up turd creek.Pardon the pun :eyebrows: Anyone game?

Morning folks.Hope you all had a good weekend, under the circumstances CBA to read the posts since Friday afternoon so i'll give my take on yesterday. In hindsight, maybe it wasn't a good idea to start with Torres, especially with all the attention that was going to be on him,and the system just didn't work.We looked negative, players looked out of position and the frst half showing was painful to put it mildly. They just didn't seem interested. We looked slightly better once ;Luiz and Malouda were introduced, but it was evident that LIverpool were just going to shut up shop once they scored,a goal that was a defensive howler and bad communication between defence and goalkeeper.A similar incident occured earlier between Cech and Ivanovic that we were fortunate to get away with. Should of we gone with the same team that beat Sunderland last week?.Maybe we should. But hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'm damn sure that Torres will justify his transfer fee in the coming weeks, but yesterday was probably just too much of an ask,as is our chances now of retaining the Premier League title.

My money is on another election in June.Power to the people!.

I think JFH is laying the gauntlet down to Torres, call it sort of mind games,as in prove me wrong. I'm not that offended by Jimmy's comments. He IS a Chelsea man afterall.

i would love to see an Egypt or Tunisian type stand off in Britain or on the streets of London, sadly it simply won't happen as us 'Brits' accept anything that's thrown at us. I respect the young generation of Egypt and Tunisia. They simply want change and are fed up with being bullied by their governments. We know how they feel.

Don't know about that mate.I think it made Abramovich's life easier and gave him a lift buying a club that were already in the champions league, rather than buy a club that came so close, more rebuilding would of had to of been done.Abramovich would of bought Chelsea still, but i doubt Ranieri would of still held on to his job.....and Bates wouldn't of got as much as he did,had of we missed out on a CL place in 2003. But that's history fella. Wait a momento,we don't have a history,do we?
-
It's typical of the sun. They'll name the no brainer(s) that will leave which we all concur will be Jos Bos,Zirkhov.but why the fuck will we sell Drogba or Malouda? The only way those 2 will go is if they actually put in a transfer request. Anelka's International career is as good as over,so why would he want to leave? Lads and lasses.Take advice from an old head. Don't believe that shit rag, better still-don't buy it!!.
-
More girls on here sounds good misschief,i remember her,her posts were always sensible and straight to the point.Yougs has to come back, especially with Torres now a Chelsea boy. I think GG jumped ship once Eidur left.More than likely on Fulham's forum now. That's if they have one!
-
Too right fella. We sign Torres, next thing you get is players whoring themselves to us.And talksport are there with the exclusive. You couldn't make it up!!.
-
If he flew to Brazil, then there is a chance he could be,whereas,if he went to Portugal then no chance.Maybe Luiz is too busy buying another jumper!.
-
It's had the most hits on you tube this week, and it's only Friday! Credit to Stoney. You the man!!
-
Blue Lion has a valid point that Luiz may be jet-lagged if he had to go to Brazil to complete his work permit, but i thought that would of been done in Portugal  Maybe it would be sensible to bench Torres, take the pressure off him and unleash him for a start in our next league game.We can beat Liverpool without Torres anyway. But when you spend £50m on a striker,it's very unlikely he's given an 'easy' first day at work. 3-2 Chelsea
-
Come on guys. It's the sun we're talking about. I thought you knew better by now then to believe that shit spouting paper!.
-
I'm not one to comment on that, but i'll let you draw your own conclusions! lol.

Gary Neville retires from footbal with immediate effect
MikeCFC replied to Corlett's topic in Football Chat
Tbh spuz, even i've fallen out of love with the National team, even long before our car crash of a display at the world cup and with Postman Pat at the helm,i can't see things getting any better, and i know i'm not alone in that way of feeling. -
Even my 9yo niece would score with Hilario in goal, but i like the idea of your most inept goalkeeper facing your deadliest striker(arguably). Not that Torres needs any motivation exercise anyway. I take Holloway with a pinch of salt. Some of his interviews this season has been TV gold, even though he can over do it on the ad-libs.
