  1. Indeed.Whale got sacked for urging his listeners not to vote for Ken Livingstone, ahead of the London mayor elections back in 2008.Another one sacked for influencing listeners was Jon Gaunt.Mike Dickin(Talksport legend) must be turning in his grave!.
  2. Absolute shambolic LDN.Talksport have also sacked one of it's longest serving broadcasters Mike 'Porky' Parry after he and co-presenter Mike Graham refused to vacate their Mon-Fri 10am-1pm slot to accommadate Keys and Gray. Talksport have a habit of employing no-gooders.Johnathan King and Stan Collymore to name but a few. I stopped listening to this vile radio station many years ago,and from what i've seen from the facebook comments regarding Keys and Gray's appointment, many more people will stop listening to talksport!. Indeed,Parry was an idiot at times and did have moronic ideas and thoughts, but he grew on you.We exactly knew what to expect of him. This is just a stepping stone for Keys and Gray,so they'll nick the Breakfast show slot off Alan Brazil, who's arse is skating on thin ice as it is.
  3. Andy Gray and Richard Keys move to Talksport Andy Gray and Richard Keys said they were excited about their move to a speech radio show Former Sky Sports football presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys have moved to radio station Talksport. The pair's tenure at the satellite TV sports channel ended after they made controversial off-air remarks about a female assistant referee. Mr Gray was sacked and Mr Keys resigned after the comments were broadcast, prompting a row over sexism. They will host a three-hour show from Monday to Friday on the commercial speech station. The row that led to their departure from Sky Sports followed comments by the two presenters about the presence of female assistant referee Sian Massey. Believing their microphones were off, the two men agreed female officials "don't know the offside rule". Following the move to Talksport, Mr Gray - a former footballer - said it was an "ideal opportunity" to "do what we do best, and that's talk about sport". And Mr Keys said it was "the start of something new and exciting". More on This Story Related Internet links Talksport
  4. Another one of our original legends R.I.P
  5. Well done to Frank anyway for getting the captaincy for tonight's match.I'm sure he'll do a superb job. I've had the pleasure of visiting the Parken Stadium back in 1998 when Chelsea played Copenhagen in the ECWC.A very atmospheric stadium and with the roof closed tonight,it should produce a racket of atmosphere from both the England and Danish fans. Lets just hope we bring back the Bacon!!
  6. It's definetley out of our hands now. There is a chance that Man U could go on a bad run after losing to Wolves last week, and we have to play them twice. We also have Arsenal and City to overtake as well, not forgetting Liverpool and Tottenham breathing down our necks. This season could see the league being won on the lowest points margin since it's inurgaration back in 1992.86 points will be enough to win the league this season as more twists and turns will unfold. I too like the optimism of this thread and the positive posts. We'll see what happens. Just a quickie, how many points did we win the league on last season?.I'm sure it was something like 87/88 pts.
  7. Bullying in the workplace is more and more common these days.Management are only concerned about achieving targets with no regard for their employees.I'm currently signed off for 6 weeks with a severe back problem. My employers suggest i carry 'light duties' till i recover, like that i don't get sick pay,for which i'm entitled to. I work in warehousing which also includes driving a forklift and loading Lorry's.There is no such thing as light duties in my job. See what i mean?.
  8. Very grey area Cara. Most managements use photos or video's as evidence these days to support their accusations that an employee isn't doing what's asked of them,or is up to 'no good' at the workplace. This evidence can be used if the matter leads to dicsaplinary action by the employers. In your case, your HR should be more supportive towards you and provide you with more adequate working conditions, this also can include not being left unattended/unsupervised in your late stages of pregnancy and should also include reducing your working hours to fit in with your sleep and dieting patterns. I used to be a union rep and exactly know and understand how you feel about your employers at this time. PS:You can take your grievance with your area manager further if you wish, but it's a long process.
  9. I watched ROI v Wales last night, quite a good game.First half was a bit slow, but well taken goals.Very impressed with the Aviva Stadium too. Tonight i'll probably be channel switching between the England game on ITV and France v Brazil on ESPN. Denmark have some decent players, they too had a poor world cup but England should still be on their guard to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 hammering they took in Copenhagen back in 2005. Tonight will be good practice and getting used to the Parken Stadium pitch, for Lamps,JT and A Cole, who will return there in a couple of weeks time for Chelsea in the Champions League.
  10. England were invited Matt, but the FA prefered a more lucrative friendly with Denmark and they won't join unless the tournament gathers momentum, wich i find a bit arrogant tbh.Wales,ROI,Scotland and NI should tell England to do one, you've had your chance!.
  11. Martin Samuel is a decent sportswriter as is Henry Winter(Telegraph) and Ollie Hoult(The Mirror). They write really in depth, cutting edge articles without being too heinous and crass. Ollie Hoult has been really fair towards Chelsea, even when we had all that controversy with Mourinho-Barca-Anders Frisk. His article in today's Mirror regarding the demise of the England National team is a good read. Harry Harris,Shaun Custis and Andy Dunn=complete wankers.
  12. Not to sound like Les Dennis(English 'comic',who thinks he's funny) but if Fabregas joins Chelsea in the summer,i'll give you the money myself!.
  13. You have worded your post in a superficial way.My point is why throw money at the problem all the time?.Ancelotti won the double with us last season. Why sack a manager over one bad spell? What if we do win the champions league this year-still sack Ancelotti?. Thank god you never had to cope with the Chelsea managers from the 1980's!!.
  14. Even i can remember worse England moments like Euro 88 where we were a complete shambles, and not ONE player got booed, even though you felt like shooting Bobby Robson at the time.England these days is all about the corperate fan that will spend money at Wembley,to help the FA's bill of god knows how much to re-build the famous stadium. These meaningless friendlies are also as welcome as a Jew at a pig farm,at such a crucial stage of the season as well.
  15. When a football club becomes a global brand,it loses it's idendity with it's homegrown fans,as we won't spend as much money as the global/corparate fan/supporter does.Since the Chelsea megastore first opened,i've only visited it 2/3 times.it's not what i go to Chelsea for!.
  16. Assange has shown the US for what they really are.He looks a bit of a wierdo but his personality should not come into question. Not been able to get on to wikileaks recentley but like many others, was round it like flies round shit when it was launched.
  17. Ancelotti is a manager suited for the Champions League. He didn't win that many Schudetto's with Milan but did very well in the Champions League. I voted for Carlo to stay.Simply because we can't keep throwing money at our problems.Chelsea would have to pay Ancelotti the remainder of his contract and then appoint another manager capable of delivering Abramovich's demands for Chelsea. Ancelotti has not done much wrong, but he has to start showing some balls, and letting people know exactly who is the boss!.
  18. It seems evident that in recent years, young people have been undermined by politicians and world leaders alike.A very big mistake that they are paying for already. Some of these youngsters are not even first time voters and they are already feeling the effects of being fucked over by greedy, self imposed politicians. Social networking is the power of the youth of today, something i never had the pleasure of when i was in my youth. Our coalition has already felt the first stages of the disgruntled youth. How they have been lied to,even before the removal vans arrived at No10. If only the Motorists and low-income earners of Britain vent as much anger as our students have on this coalation, will the need for change be ordered upon. March 26th is not only for the students. It's for the people of Great Britain who want an end to this coalition and fairness given back to the people.
  19. Another one,at Fulham Broadway station."Am i at the right stop for the Chelsea Stadium?"
  20. Not in the form of ridicule,i hope!
  21. Easier said than done Max.We used to get a great atmosphere at the bridge, including banter with away fans but that has all gone since Roman arrived. No insult/offence intedned but our new fans simply don't understand the old songs. They're just content to wave flags and clap at every pass made, whether good or bad. Plus it's too expensive for my pocket to go regularly these days
  22. Couldn't agree with you more fella.Atmosphere was terrible. One of the reasons why i don't go to games anymore. That's all i've got to say!.
  23. Couldn't really careless about this game. Lampard's only being made captain out of convienience,he'll still get booed by England's bone headed travelling fans.My affection for the National team has waned in the past 9/10 years anyway. So near, yet so far!.
  24. Peter Bonetti-"The Cat"-for the way he leapt at shots around his goal Peter Osgood-"Ossie" Ron Harris-"Chopper"-for his tackling temperment Ray Wilkins-"Butch"-for his no nonsense attitude on the pitch More recent Dennis Wise-"Wisey"-go figure Dan Petrescu-"Mulder"-Watch the X-Files to see why Grahame Le Saux-"Bergerac"-After the famous 80's detective series set in Jersey.Le Saux's birthplace. Dave Lee-"Rodney Trotter"-his resemblence to Del Boy's lanky, plodding brother.
