  1. Pretty sure he's more than capable across the attacking midfield.
  2. I think both Sanchez and Di Maria are perfect for the Premier League. Almost every side struggles against extreme pace and technical ability from wide areas which these two excell at.Both would be unstoppable against the smaller sides who already struggle with the likes of Sterling or Walcott. They're nightmares to play against. I personally prefer Di Maria but Sanchez is awesome. Can unfortunately see them going to our direct rivals and killing it for them. Don't think a winger is even entering José's mind.
  3. Barca's sporting director has basically confirmed that Alexis Sanchez is leaving. I really, REALLY hope he doesn't go to either Arsenal or United. Especially United because he's exactly what they need.
  4. I know Rakitic was in the final year if his contract, but it's still insane that Adam Lallana went for £10m more than he did.
  5. Was one of their two best players in the first half and then faded badly as the game went on and was invisible for much of the second half. Still love his game and think he's top class. Such a waste for him to go to Madrid and be a part time player.
  6. Never said he couldn't play.Would just rather us target young, top class players with great potential and who can be at the club for 5+ years than signing an older player on a free that'll be here for a season or two.
  7. Some people (maybe only me judging by this thread) would rather buy a long term solution than a player at the end of his career. José has talked nonstop about building "the new Chelsea for the next decade," and now we're essentially swapping one old player for another who's a similar age.Not denying that he's a good player and would prove useful, but I'd rather see us get someone who can nail down a place for years to come and be a first XI regular.
  8. And when is he going to play? A sub for Matic as Baraba says? Matic who's a nailed on starter for every PL match? If we're going to have an old, experienced midfielder in the side taking up a roster spot and not playing much (and also robbing MvG of the little playing time he was already going to get) then we may as well have kept Lampard.
  9. What a massively underwhelming and pointless transfer this would be. Hope it doesn't happen.
  10. Don't see how Liverpool replace his 30 goals and his ability to singlehandedly win matches. Hopefully these rumors of them buying all of these bang average players like Lallana are true and they pull a Tottenham. United will take their Top 4 place.
  11. Paul Hayward of The Telegraph put it perfectly on twitter a few minutes ago. He's a lot like Ross Barkley in that he's still very young so he makes a poor decision here and there, but the talent is there for everyone to see. He's got freakish athletic ability and such a high ceiling. He's already this good and is only going to get better (and more expensive). Would be a great buy.
  12. What else is he going to say? He probably told his agent that he doesn't even want to think of any club matter while at the World Cup. What may work against us if we indeed are going to make a move for him is the fact that Chile is now out of the WC and the courting of Vidal may start getting underway. If he moves away from Juve then there's no chance Pogba goes anywhere.
  13. Probably true. But Van Gaal will be working with a new team who's players will also be getting used to playing with a bunch of new teammates. They'll be significantly better than last season and Van Gaal will have them playing great football. I haven't looked at their fixture list but all I keep hearing on twitter is that they have a piss easy set of opening fixtures so I expect them to start very well and build confidence early which could be a real problem with them only playing once a week for most of the season like Liverpool did last season. Just think in the end ourselves and City will edge them out.
  14. True, but as Arsenal proved last season you can't just spank the minnows of the league. You have you win some of the big ones too and I'd still fancy ourselves, City, and Arsenal to be more consistent and stronger than anything United put out this season. You're right though, they will be strong and a threat. Think they finish 3rd, just ahead of Arsenal.
  15. Don't have a problem with Mikel staying as he knows his role and knows he's a situational player who does a very specific job for us. It's Ramires that I'd like to see sold and replaced with a top class player.
  16. If that's the team that lines up against us when we play them I'll be licking my chops. That CB partnership is still shit, Rafael is a complete liability, and Shaw is still a teenager who can be exploited. Just contain RvP and I think we'd beat that side comfortably.I think they'll get a top new CB and at least one more marquee signing, though.
  17. Don't have a problem with celebrating. I have a problem with HIS celebrating.Mostly because of who he plays for. If/when he leaves those bastards I probably won't hate him as much.
  18. That, and how he always goes WAY overboard when he celebrates as if he scored wonder goals when 99.9% of the goals he's scored are tap-ins or headers from 6 yards out.Not talking about his looks when I say he has a punchable face, just the way he acts. It basically comes down to the type of player he is. Totally useless outside of the box and is a pure poacher. Not a true footballer just a pure poacher who takes all the glory when others do the work for him.
  19. After RvP he had the most punchable, cunty face on United. Hate him.
  20. Oh, lol.Yeah, they both look like they've been smacked by shovels.
  21. Can't tell if serious.Ribery is a pure winger. How can he be compared to him?
  22. He's a decent player, yeah. Not anywhere near good enough for a top European club though. He's also the ugliest player I've ever seen.
  23. Wrong Herrera, mate. And LOL at Hector Herrera > Pogba. I'm sure you were joking there Iseah.
  24. Unlike Liverpool, Barca have the likes of Messi, Neymar, and others to put out there while they wait for Suarez's suspension to run down. Liverpool don't have anyone remotely close to Suarez's ability to pick up the slack whilst he's out. It would benefit them greatly to sell him for a massive fee and get a bunch of players who can help them from day 1.
  25. Honestly, I'm not bothered anymore about our rivals complaining about how much we spend. United have lost that right now that they've spent £30m on Luke Shaw. They've spent over £100m over the past two windows and are apparently bringing in "many more." Now Liverpool are said to be planning a "£110m shopping spree" according to The Telegraph after they sell Suarez. The club made record profit this past season and have crazy TV and sponsorship money coming in so we may as well construct the strongest possible side. No one complains about Real Madrid, Barca, or Bayern buying the league.
