No! FFS, bring him back!
-
Speaking of Rooney, I'm really struggling to see where he plays for them next season. RvP is the undisputed first choice striker when fit and especially under his close buddy Van Gaal. Mata is their record signing and a better #10 than Rooney is, Januzaj is on one wing, and they seem to be after a top class winger for the other side. Where does that leave their £300k a week man who wants to be a striker?
-
Excited about Costa, but would anyone else be even more excited with a top class Matic partner like I would be? Being able to dominate sides in midfield would go a long way in helping Costa and our attacking players flourish.
-
It's done, guys. Southampton just want to make it look like they tried hard to keep him but couldn't in the end when United raise their bid to 30m.
-
Costa to take #9 and Hazard takes the vacant #10.
-
Think he's the first of two strikers that we'll buy this summer. Dzeko, please!
-
I highly doubt we'll get 40m for him. Anything over 30m is decent business, really. Hope that cash is immediately invested in a CM just like the Mata money was.
-
The posters over on BarcaForum seem pretty positive on Luiz. Would be nice to bleed Barca dry on this transfer. They're desperate for defenders.
-
I'm already resigned to the fact that he'll be a United player now. This whole thing smacks as an intentional leak by them to take the attention from City and Liverpool and to make a statement of intent to their supporters that they mean business in this window. Don't think they'd risk being made fools of like they were last summer when they let the Fabregas bid go public. They let this leak because they're 100% confident that he's theirs.
-
Wouldn't surprise me.This is why FFP is an absolute joke. Just because United are the biggest global brand they can go out and spend £200m in one window and it's perfectly legal but if ourselves or City do it's illegal and we'd be heavily sanctioned. Bullshit.
-
I never want to hear "bought the league" from a United supporter again. They're now right their with the "money" clubs when it comes to transfer fees. £27m for Fellaini, £37m for Mata, and now £27m for Shaw. And if they're willing to spend this much on a LB I can only imagine how much they'll throw at the actual world class players they're after.
-
The red mist is clouding my mind now. Starting to think to myself "fuck the price, just steal him from under United's nose."
-
Even though the price is crazy it just pisses me off that he's basically the spitting image of the player we need and he's going to be playing for a direct rival. Young, English, can replace his idol, and is a fan of our club. Literally the perfect transfer that would be easy as pie to sign if we actually wanted him. Apparently we don't.
-
After all the praising and the creaming of pants by the media and other clubs' supporters about how incredible and amazing Liverpool and City have been, after all of the shit that has been spewed about how we play dire, boring, defensive football we finish only 2 points behind the "neutral's team" Liverpool and 4 points behind the most expensive team in professional sports WITH NO STRIKERS. Liverpool and City finished with over 100 goals scored and still barely finished above us. Massive improvement over last season for us. Next season will be our year. We'll be one of the most feared sides in Europe with a few key additions.
-
Which is exactly why I'm an advocate of at least trying him in the pivot every once and a while. Against lesser sides where he won't be bullied or pressed much he can certainly play next to Matic if he got the chance. Could've been good there this season.Hopefully it won't be necessary next season if we buy the player we should.
-
Looked far better playing deeper today. Does better when he's got more space to operate and isn't asked to beat players or play an incisive final ball.
-
He has basically the same performance every game. Yeah, he may have a couple of wayward passes but he covers for the defense brilliantly, wins tackles brilliantly, can receive the ball and shield it from multiple players at the same time, all while also being able to accurately pick out a pass. Fantastic player. As Special Juan just said, if we don't buy a top class partner for him we'd be limiting him. We have the potential to have one special midfield. Even with a CM in that level below the world class bracket like a Rakitic would be immense.
-
So he's also said that he'd be happy if Ba wanted to stay as well. Surely that would mean that Lukaku is gone? We wouldn't have 4 strikers. Don't know if I'd feel confident at all about our title chances with a strike force of Costa/Torres/Ba. If Costa struggled or got injured we'd be right back to being shit. All 3 MUST be sold or moved on. Our strike force should be Costa/Lukaku/3rd new striker like Bony.
-
We just can't rid ourselves of the anvil around our necks can we? Fucking sell him! Look at him today, for fucks sake! Slow, terrible touch, zero confidence or instinct in front of goal. He's not going to revert to his old self EVER again. How many years will we try? It's fucking over for him. Sell him to the highest bidder. Cancer to the club.
-
Nice celebration Torres, you plank.
-
Every single one of our attacking players are on holiday already. Embarrassingly poor, all of them.
-
How was that not a pen!?
-
Their fans seem to think its 100% done and dusted that he'll be a United player next season.
-
Exactly. Mikel may not be the most flashy or exciting player we've had, but he tries his best and doesn't make many mistakes. His game is dull and lackluster but he did his specific job well enough. He should move on and be a key player for someone else rather than a seldom used role player here.
