Has Salah/Moses/Cuadrado/Marin written all over him in my opinion. Yet another attacking mid that would come here and struggle to be effective and we'd be looking to replace him in a season or two. We need a proven commodity for this position not another gamble.

Imagine telling the Talk Chelsea of a couple of years ago that we'd be signing Falcao and were desperate to avoid him. I'm willing to be open minded and back him because I always get a bit giddy when we sign a striker. He gets 10-15 PL goals somehow and looks more like the dangerous predator that he was I'd consider it a successful season for him. He won't get back to the heights that he once did but he may become a very solid player under José and with the service of our midfield.

In terms of skill set and injury situation I can understand the Torres comparison. This situation however cannot be compared at all. Torres was meant to be our flashy, talismanic, face-of-the-club signing. Falcao wouldn't have any of that expectation and would be a backup. High reward potential? Yes. Is it truly high risk? Not really because he isn't going to cost £30, 40, or 50m and it wouldn't be a disaster if he flopped again. Falcao has a repeat of his United season? Sucks, but oh well. Costa and Remy are still there and we can flog him off if need be.

Every target we've been linked with has now either been ruled out by our manager or ruled out by the players themselves. Pogba, Bale, Koke, Griezmann... Then other players we have been linked with are apparently close to joining other sides like Schniederlin. *sigh* Least we have Falcao to look forward to, right guys?

If we got back every penny of what we paid for him then I can't say I'd miss him. Think he gets until January if it's up to the club. If he himself actually wants to leave then he can fuck off honestly and we can move on.

I know it's not the best opposition, but if Hazard plays with this attitude every match in the PL and Europe then he'll take that next step up in his evolution. Rather than occasionally slowing his game down and being more passive he has taken his man on and sprinted at defenders Robben-style and destroyed people. You can't get close to him when he does this. Diego looked sharper and more fit than I've seen since the first half of the season. A nice, easy preseason with plenty of rest and I think we'll burst out of the gate just like we did last season.

Diego was awesome and Hazard was in his unstoppable form.
