Reading the same kinds of things about him as people said about Nathan: very raw and definitely not ready for Chelsea. Probably won't ever see him in the first team.
-
Reminds me of the Lucas Moura situation. Brazilian who goes to a stacked club and is in and out of the team. Will show flashes of brilliance but not live up to the hype or fee.
-
True. But if that's the case then I doubt we'll be after a new attacking midfielder at all.All we really have a need for is an upgrade on Oscar. Willian and Cuadrado will compete for the right side spot so I doubt we spend huge money for another winger.
-
Personally think that if we buy him he'll play just behind Diego rather than out wide on the right like people are suggesting here.
-
Seems like he's off to United. Will be annoyingly good there.

After they just bought Rakitic too. He'll be delighted with having to go to the bench after just signing with them last year.
-
Just doesn't seem like the player we should be signing at all, as good as he is. We already have one impotent attacking midfielder in Willian. We need more goals from that position. He's definitely a Mourinho type player and would be perfect if we didn't have Willian.
-
Too bad Ramos is one of the players who fell out with José. Could've signed him this summer.
-
Thing is, if we miss out on Pogba all the other options are gone and we're left with no one.
-
how many extraordinary players are there, though? Think there are only like 15 in the world.Griezmann to me can become a fantastic player in our team and add a lot to the side. Something we don't have currently and that's killer instinct and clinical finishing from attacking midfield. Even Sterling who most of us here would love to have doesn't offer those things and he's gonna cost near £50m. Gun to my head I'd rather have Sterling probably, but I wouldn't care at all if the club skunked a big fee on Griezmann.
-
Every CM is signing somewhere!
-
I think so too, but only if London is as big of a factor as it seemed like it was when he first said he wanted out of Liverpool. If it's just about CL football and money I think City will offer him wages that we won't go near (because we're not irresponsible with our money anymore, nor desperate like they are) like £200k a week.
-
Surely we'll know VERY soon where he's off to. Firmino, Clyne, and whichever striker they're after will cost a load of cash and they clearly want everything done ASAP. They sell Sterling quickly and get all of their signings in so their fans won't bitch and moan for long.
-
Will be gutted seeing him go to one of our rivals.

Seems like all of the "good" tier CM's are being snatched up one by one. Kondogbia, Witsel, Imbula and Schneiderlin very soon. Unless we get a world class player like Pogba, at this rate there won't be anyone of quality left and we'll be stuck with Mikel for another season.
-
I think Griezmann would score 15 in his first season here.
-
We essentially just did one ourselves last January with Salah and Cuadrado. Even threw in a friendly match on top.Straight player swaps don't happen but I wouldn't be surprised if one of our highly rated players is used as a makeweight. I highly doubt it'll happen of course.
-
Looks fantastic but I'd personally have Cesc deeper and Pogba as the most advanced of the three midfielders. Fabregas is at his best in the deep lying playmaker role where he's got more space and time on the ball.
-
Don't even care about the price at this point. Just wanna see Chelsea improve dramatically. Desperate for a top signing like a drug fiend.
-
Oscar + cash for Pogba and Salah + cash for Griezmann. Chelsea treble 2015/16.
-
I think the fact that we have several players that they're interested in gives us a huge advantage, but I think City will be so desperate that they'd still probably blow us out of the water in terms of wages they'll offer him. Let's hope the lure of London, actually playing for a top manager unlike at City, and being in a midfield with Cesc and Matic is enough to convince him.
-
Unless Filipe Luis is just dying to return to Atelti or he can be used as a makeweight for one of their players, why not just keep him? Seems pointless to just trade one expensive, bench warming fullback for another.
-
Firmino has flop written all over him. The expectations will be huge because he's Brazilian and put up big numbers for a small team. Liverpool fans who have never seen him play will hype him up just like they did with Markovic last summer and he'll be bang average.
-
If we were at least clued in to who our own transfer targets are it would ease the pain of seeing one of our legends go to a hated rival. Something to look forward to. Instead we have absolutely no clue as to who we're buying and are weakening what we already have.
-
The shit we're gonna get for years over this deal is going to hurt. My hate for them grows more and more.
