  1. I know we're all expecting it to take a monster, Gareth Bale sized bid for us to sell, but with the baffling decisions our board has made recently would you put it past them to accept something far below what he's actually worth? If De Bruyne was £55m, Sterling £50m, we sold Luiz for between £40-50m, and Stones is going to be £40m or more then surely, surely our board would start the bidding at about £80m? He's better than Bale and if fucking Spuds can get £80m for him then we should be getting around that for Hazard.
  2. Finally. We can once and for all stop being linked with this washed up, aging player
  3. Poor as he's been this season I hope he doesn't leave before seeing how things go under the new manager. New season, new manager, bolstered squad and he may return to the 2014/15 Hazard and we'd be title challengers and everyone's happy again. Can only imagine the outrage if we sell him for half of what Spuds got for Bale and replace him with a couple of average players. If he's dead set on leaving then we shouldn't even consider selling until we have top replacements already agreed.
  4. Honestly, it looks like he wants this season to end as badly as we all do.
  5. We so desperately need our best player to step his game up. Eden just seems so out of it. We'll have a very good chance to go through if he plays well in the 2nd leg. It looks like he's just going through the motions out there.
  6. Really sucks that Matic is out. This would've been the kind of game where he and Mikel partner in midfield.
  7. That PSG team really is scary on paper, my word. So envious of their midfield. Mikel & Cesc against Matuidi, Verratti, and Thiago Motta. Yikes.
  8. Nerves setting in. All I ask is for us not to embarrass ourselves and play a competitive match. For our players to realize what a huge deal this is and not go into a shell and get blasted off the pitch.
  9. His "defensive style" has him ahead of the richest club in the world currently with the most expensive attack. I'd take that, personally. Assuming we keep hold of Hazard and he returns to form we'd have a much better array of attacking players than he's got at Atleti as well. And that's before any signings.
  10. Although Pedro deserves to start and would be a useful weapon to have on the counter with his pace, I think Oscar will certainly be selected instead.
  11. None of the English or reputable Spanish media are picking up on it so I'm going to assume it's a fabricated rumor, unfortunately.
  12. That was before this shit season. In his mind now PSG may seem like a step up.
  13. Guus is spot on, of course. You go to PSG either if you're coming from a small club and it's a big step up or you've failed at a big club and want the easy life where you don't want to challenge yourself on a daily basis. In a way, PSG would sort of suit Hazard's personality and game to be honest. He can be his laid back self and won't be depended on to carry the huge load he does here. He wouldn't have to exert himself much in that league and would be surrounded by by far the best players in France. Life at PSG must be like an endless holiday. Get paid a fat wage to sleepwalk to a title every year and have a handfu of big matches per season in the CL.
  14. Calm yourself, mate. He's still a Chelsea player and didn't straight up say he wants out. He deserves the benefit of the doubt for the time being. No need to curse him.
  15. Way I see it is if Real Madrid or PSG come in with a massive bid he'll go. If they play dirty like the Spanish giants are known to do (managers and players complimenting him in the media and saying they'd "love him in their team") and try to get Hazard to ask for the move then I'm not sure he'll force it. This situation is 100% dependent on the managerial appointment and ambition we show in the transfer market. We either go big or lose the most talented player we've ever had. On a side note, I'll never have any respect for a top player in their prime choosing to go to PSG. A nothing league with zero competition for them. Their season is over before it starts. Your season is a failure if you don't win the CL. In my opinion the best in the world should play in the best leagues. What a waste they are in Paris.
  16. Really hope we don't set out for a boring draw and actually have a go. They come across to me as a super arrogant side who think they'll dominate us. We can respect them without being cowards on the pitch. Honestly, their midfield scares the shit out of me as does their front line. Verratti and co might boss our sluggish Fabregas/Mikel midfield. Ibra/Cavani/Di Maria/Lucas against Ivanovic and Cahill? Man... Our best hope is to test their defenders and have a proper go at them. They will not have seen players of the quality of Hazard, Willian, or Costa in the shit French league. Quick passing, great off the ball movement from Diego, and a switched on Hazard should wreak havoc. If we turn up and play slow zombie-ball we'll get blown off the pitch and surrender 70% or more possession. Maybe go for an all out, pacey attack featuring all three of Hazard, Willian, and Pedro behind Diego. Doubt we will, though, as I think Oscar is nailed on for this one.
  17. Barring a miracle CL victory I think there is now a real possibility that he'll want to leave. Didn't want to believe he's that kind of guy to want out after one poor season but it seems he's obsessed with CL football and may not be willing to go without it even for one year. Just hope our board demand a world record fee and not a penny less. They paid 50m for Luiz so they can pay 80+ for Hazard. Same goes for Real Madrid if they come in. If they can pay it for Bale they can for Hazard. On the other hand, what we have working in our favor is that it would be so difficult to replace him that we may just refuse also offers and make him stay. I know we as a club don't hold players if they want to go but it would take some spectacular signings like a Reus or Griezmann level player to replace his impact. With no CL football it'll be hard to convince them to come so Hazard may be more valuable to us here than a shed load of money that we can't do much with.
  18. Wait, I just realized... Who's the troll who put David Moyes up there?
  19. Yet another reason I want Simeone. He's a master at getting everyone to buy in and try their hearts out. Sacrifice for the betterment of the team. Everyone works hard and they play in the image of their manager.
