  1. Can we get on the phone with a few Chinese sides this summer and offer them Ivanovic? I'm sure one of them will offer £30m.
  2. This is all true, but would the board really back Hiddink with the money and signings necessary to get us competing for the top 4 knowing that he wouldn't be here long? We need someone with a long term vision ASAP that can begin implementing their style right away, not another season in limbo.
  3. People have been calling for Azpi to be moved to his actual position for years now. Astounding how we all see it's a serious problem yet the people paid millions of pounds to make the decisions are blind to it. It'll probably continue through next season as well because new captain Ivanovic won't be dropped.
  4. Dreaming of seeing a Chelsea team next season that is set out to dominate weaker opposition and asserting ourselves with our superior talent. You see City, Arsenal, and every other "top" team that play attacking football set out to unleash themselves on opposition.
  5. Manager has to take the lions share of blame for that result. Poor starting lineup, poor tactical approach, and waiting nearly 75 minutes to bring on our best and most dangerous player. We were pathetic for the majority of that match until we actually realized that we were playing Watford and not fucking PSG or something and actually had superior players. They did almost nothing in the second half. If Hazard is fully fit he HAS to start. Every fucking PL match. Opponents easily contain everyone else. Our central midfield is absolutely terrible this season. Who could've foreseen Matic just falling off a cliff after the first year he had back at Chelsea. We need serious investment from the new manager in the summer in that area or we'll continue to struggle.
  6. They just lump it into their strikers and there's nothing we can do. They're winning every aerial and 50/50 ball.
  7. Surprise, surprise, a player trying to get Diego sent off. Other than the last 10 or so minutes of that half we were embarrassing. Utterly dominated up until then by bloody Watford. Mikel is offering literally nothing to this game. May as well take him out. When we actually do play with the ball at our feet and get into decent positions all of our attackers are playing well. Hazard would be mighty effective against this lot.
  8. We're just an absolute shambles defensively. Getting bullied by their forwards.
  9. Fucking hell, it's so annoying watching us just play it long over and over. String some passes together and play it on the ground! We're making it so easy for them.
  10. Already struggling with their strikers...
  11. Come on, boys! A win heading into the United game would be HUGE for confidence and we'll feel like we can go on and climb the table.
  12. It's not a bad lineup, but 2 DM's against Watford? We should have set out with great pace and trickery from wide areas and really blitzed them. Hazard and Willian. Can see this being a slow start with them containing us defensively due to lack of width and pace.
  13. Hazard!? How does he not start if he's fit?
  14. Kind of funny that we'll be within 3 points of Liverpool if we win this. Even at our absolute worst we'll probably still finish ahead of those bastards. I really wish this was at home, though. The confidence has to be really high in the team and if this were at home the players would feed off the energy of the stadium and blow Watford away I think. Nervous about it at their place.
  15. Pellegrini being boring is precisely why he's seemingly a leading candidate. Roman and the board have to be sick of their manager getting negative headlines and having outbursts in the media. In Pellegrini they'll have a classy, dignified, soft spoken manager who doesn't do or say anything controversial. If Simeone or Pochettino are absolutely impossible then I'd reluctantly accept Pellegrini. Assuming we give him a whole bunch of money to spend in order to keep up with our rivals.
  16. This is crazy! Vardy is a monster when afforded space. That's the only reason I doubt he'd be able to do what he's doing for Leicester if he moved to a big club. He won't be afforded a lot of these opportunities. Still, hats off to him and Leicester.
  17. Wonder what Emenalo will be wearing in the Pellegrini unveiling photo. Some skinny jeans and a pair of Crocs, maybe?
  18. Agree on Stones. Think we'll blow away the world record fee for a defender and finally sign him. Maybe the board will do the right thing and keep JT around for another year to help him. Pogba we have zero chance at. City, Barca, Real Madrid, or United are the only clubs with a chance at him. Not sure where Barkley fits at Chelsea to be honest. Unless we sell your boy Oscar.
  19. That random defender I'd never heard of from the Championship or League One or who the fuck knows. Someone we'll never see in a Chelsea shirt.
  20. Just looking at recent happenings at our club and City's is comical and hugely depressing. Chelsea: Sold Cech to direct and hated rival who are currently title favorites. Sign Falcao, Djilobodji, Hector, Pato, and a backup keeper. Sack our greatest ever manager against the supporters' wishes and put him in prime position to sign for another direct rival. Hand one of the seasons worst performers a contract extension whilst not offering the club legend and captain one. City meanwhile have signed De Bruyne for £55m (another genius move from us letting him go) they've signed Sterling for £50m, they've expanded their stadium knowing it'll bring in more money so they can pump it back into the club, and they've appointed arguably the world's best manager that should set them up as the team to beat for the next 3 years. They showed more ambition after missing out on the title than we did after winning it. Incredible. We have to just pray that our board and owner have a rock solid plan in place for our beloved club. They'll look like absolute idiots if they don't.
  21. Yep. Think he's nailed on to replace Yaya. Can also see him luring a Bayern player or two. They'll need all new fullbacks and I'm sure he'd want Alaba to follow him. If you told me on the day we lifted the trophy last season that Mourinho, Pep, and Klopp would all be managing in the PL I'd be over the moon and excited about that prospect knowing we have one of them. Now all of them plus Wenger and Pochettino are competitors. We have gone from having the best manager in the league, the best squad, and the brightest outlook for the future to not even having one of the top 4-5 managers. Now we're in need of a significant squad overhaul and a new manager just to get us competitive again. I fear that unless we get Simeone or manage to steal Poch from Spuds we'll be nowhere near the top of the table for a while. Hope everyone making decisions in the club are happy now.
  22. Nightmare for the rest of the PL. He'll surely have total authority to build a squad and will have unlimited money to do so. I wonder which world class players they'll sign this summer...
  23. New manager playing a totally different style is the only thing that makes sense. The board must think that there's no way JT will suit this new football.
  24. This is what I think happen. This will serve as a slap to the backs of the heads of the people making decisions.
