  1. Please not Klopp. Or Carlo. Don't want to have to take Liverpool seriously with a proper, top manager.
  2. It's strange, but I'd fancy us against them still no matter the form we're in. If we played them again next weekend I think we'd beat them again. Then we'd lose to a relegation candidate the next match.
  3. Someone said it before the game yesterday, but after slow starts both Sanchez and Aguero have come roaring back to life these past few games. Hazard still hasn't.
  4. Yeah. Losing to Tactics Tim would be the last straw. At home, too.
  5. Lose to Villa and he's gone for sure. Not now.
  6. Think he's done as a manager at the top level. Names like Hiddink and Capello that I'm seeing here just aren't the level of manager we need. Even as an interim. We're better off just sticking with José.
  7. I think we would immediately see a change to our attacking play under Klopp. The tempo and build up would surely improve. Also think he'd utilize Baba straight away and let Ivanovic go at the end of the season. Not sure a player like Fabregas would suit his style at all so that would be a big problem.Again, this will be the problem with anyone we bring in if José is sacked. He's got loads of guys that perfectly suit HIS football so whoever we get will need at LEAST a couple of transfer windows to create their team.
  8. Has anyone even thought about the financial consequences that sacking him would have? The pay off would be massive of course, but you then have to pay the next big name manager a huge salary and possibly have no CL football which handicaps him straight away because we'd have less money to back him with and a smaller pool of players to recruit from. We'd basically have to tell the next manager that he must "work with what we have" even if the players may not suit the new guy. We're seeing now what that mentality is doing for us. He pretty much HAS to stay.
  9. That's the thing. There are only a couple of candidates out there with the clout, respect, and most importantly the skill to take over from Mourinho. It's too risky to sack him unless it's for Klopp or Pep. Managers that are zero risk themselves.
  10. You seriously need to relax, man. We're all frustrated and upset here but you seem to be taking genuine joy in watching our legendary manager (and yes, our greatest ever) struggle and at risk for the sack. It's a bit pathetic.
  11. No matter who we would replace him with I think we'd be looking at a United-like transition period of a couple of years. It will take a while to "cleanse" the team of its Mourinho characteristics. There are players that either wouldn't fit an attack minded managers style or players that are aging and past their best.
  12. If we sack him we better make damned sure we get a suitable man in. A proven winner with a set style and philosophy.
  13. Sad. This is literally Hollywood script stuff. From Champions and top of the world to this in the span of a few months. Incredible.
  14. Our Moyes season. I'm sorry, I love José and he'll always be my favorite manager of all time. The team isn't responding to him any longer. Can't attack, can't defend, midfield is transparent. No ideas going forward and we play like a terrified, small team. We need something new. I'm not even angry anymore. This season is a write off. Get Klopp in and let him salvage what he can and prepare for next season. Give him total authority to mold his own side.
  15. Bright opening few minutes and then fuck all afterwards. Absolutely NO link between our midfield and attack. Fabregas again terrible and was at fault for their goal. Just stood there rooted in the ground watching the ball. Hazard, Willian, and Falcao can barely get a sniff of the ball. Lucky not to have conceded a couple more. Our attacking play is ATROCIOUS! It has to be coaching. Has to be! No way we can have this array of players and it looks this poor.
  16. He isn't better Hazard. He's miles better than Oscar, though.
  17. That's a shocking lineup. My word. Midfield looks paper thin, no pace at the back to deal with Mane, and Ivanovic in again.
  18. It's really embarrassing looking back now. Even more so than when it happened. They were in abysmal form and deserved to beat us we were so poor. Now City go and dismantle them as if they're a League 1 side. It's like José said last week, teams play at a totally different level when they face Chelsea and often the very next week they return to normal and put in shocking efforts. Much of that is on him, though, due to the style we play.
  19. That attack is scary. I think KdB has better stats since he's joined City than our entire attack combined. When City click they're BY FAR the best team in the league.
  20. And this lot battered us last week.
  21. If we have another truly awful weekend (we lose and City & United win) I wonder how itchy Roman's trigger finger will feel. Looking at the top of the table and seeing us 10+ points behind TWO clubs who we finished miles ahead of just a couple of months ago will have him livid and nervous I would think. Guess we'll find out pretty soon if he really has changed.
  22. That HAS to be what he's thinking. He hints at it all the time. That yes, Ivanovic makes mistakes but that the other player on his side is a big problem as well for not helping him. That's the only explanation as to why he continues to play.
  23. Ivanovic against Mane would be disastrous. We're already going to be in for a fight in the middle of our defense with Pelé up there. The last thing we need is Ivanovic getting spanked continuously on the outside at the same time. As one of the staunchest Mourinho supporters out there, he's making it awfully difficult for fans to trust his judgement when he continues to handicap the team by playing Ivanovic. That quote all but confirms he'll play tomorrow because he's hardly going to drop his "best" RB.
  24. He'll no doubt continue to pick him no matter what.
  25. And true. Not saying I wish we had all of them back, just that it sucks watching them succeed with other teams.
