  1. Starting to think so, too. He's a brilliant shot stopper and great at coming for crosses (even with this he's struggled this season) but the rest of his game is weak. His distribution is simply dreadful and he's really poor with the ball at his feet compared to many modern keepers. Only reason I'm not too hard on him is because of the shit on a stick he always has in front of him. We've seen what he can be with a competent defense in front of him so I'm hoping we build that over the summer. Having Ivanovic, Cahill, and a declining Terry shielding you is disastrous. At the same time, De Gea has had a huge array of shit in front of him and has still done magnificently.
  2. Will be very, very sad and downright angry if Oscar is atill a Chelsea player next season. Just can't cut it consistently in this league. Both he and the club would benefit greatly from a change. Will also be hugely detrimental to any kind of challenge next season if Cahill and Ivanovic are anywhere near the first XI. Ivanovic can be a cup player and Cahill our 4 choice CB. Nothing more or we handicap ourselves out of the gate. I hope to God we sign at least 2 of these powerhouse midfielders we're being linked with because we desperately need them.
  3. Our midfield is just nonexsistant. The ease with which teams with average players carve through the middle of the pitch is mad. Made al the worse when we have statues at CB and poor fullbacks.
  4. Remember when all of us were arguing last season that Courtois was as good or better than De Gea? Seems like ages ago.
  5. Oscar is so trash it's hilarious. A #10 with the touch and passing ability of a CB. Truly, truly shocking.
  6. That Chelsea hating co-commentator was even bitching about the distance of the wall for Cesc's goal. Suck it, lad!
  7. This commentator HATES Chelsea, doesn't he? FUCK OFF! Nothing is a foul when it's a Chelsea player, eh?
  8. We are seriously shambolic in midfield and defense. Can't handle the press from any side that does so and are getting bullied by their strikers. The club needs an entirely new defense in midfield this summer.
  9. It really is humiliating how much better West fucking Ham play than us. At home, too.
  10. Which is utterly ridiculous when you compare the talent in both squads.
  11. Yet more embarrassing defending. What the hell was Cahill chasing way out there for? We're shit all over the pitch.
  12. So...many...inaccurate...passes. My goodness!
  13. I can honestly see this being one of those matches where we have fewer than 2 shots on target the whole way through. Combination of slow, ponderous midfield with little creativity, a striker who is constantly offside and hasn't been playing at all, and mostly because these are all dead rubber games now so no one will be up for it.
  14. Remy given a chance to audition for his next club and to raise the transfer price? Only reason I can think of for him starting this.
  15. Obviously he won't have total authority like Wenger or anything like that but I would hope our board and owner learned their lesson this season that signing a bunch of dudes the manager has never heard of or seen play is disastrous. I can understand our scouts or Emenalo going to Conte with a list of players that they feel would be good signings, but allow him absolute final say. No more "board signings" or "Abramovich signings." Let the manager decide all incomings. What a strange idea, eh?
  16. Good as he's been this season, I'd rather us not sign a player who was completely unknown prior to this year and is having the season of his life like the rest of the Lecicester team. What if this is just an extreme purple patch like we've seen from so many average players over the years and he'll return to his "normal" level next season? Would be a nice fall back option if the other players we're linked with are impossible.
  17. I've been lurking neogaf for years but no, I don't have an account.
  18. I'd much rather have Pedro than Cuadrado. Oh, and I see you're a GAF poster...
  19. He's the last of their midfielders I'd want if Hazard goes the other way. Would much rather make an effort to lure Isco. Unlike there he'd be an automatic starter and an important piece here.
  20. Yeah, I could see that. Don't think we have a chance at signing him so you can breath easy.
  21. Would playing second fiddle behind Zlatan be any different from playing second behind Costa, though? If Conte sets up similarly to how he has in the past we'll need plenty of strikers.
