Hopefully it's true and hopefully he's in ASAP. He and Jorginho getting a full preseason would be huge and will allow us to have a settled midfield almost immedietly.
-
๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ Come on, Chelsea. Close this one.
-
Not very encouraged reading some of the replies from Italian people. Saw several people saying that he's not worth near that and seeing other laughing saying Juve would be ripping us off.
-
That is a crazy amount of money for a relatively unknown CB. Sarri and the club must think extremely highly of him if that's what we're willing to pay. Especially as we already have Andreas and Rรผdiger. Plus, it doesn't seem as nailed on that David Luiz is off like everyone assumed he would be.
-
Isn't Florentino Perez's job voted on by their fans? Will they not riot if they sold CR7 without bringing back any superstars?
-
I would cry tears of joy if we replaced Willian with Bailey. This kid is going to be a superstar.

Holy shit, his English is excellent! Significantly better than Conte's already and will only improve. Credit Antonio for trying, but he was visibly fighting with his mind to force out sentences in English. Every press conference and interview was a struggle. For example, each time he was asked a question you'd see him pause for a good few seconds to really think about what he was trying to say. It meant that I rarely ever watched his pressers. Sarri has got a certain calm coolness about him. Like a dude who has seen it all. In a different way than Conte, he seems like the sort of coach who will command instant respect from the players.

We aren't spunking our entire summer budget on midfield. Don't even think SMS is being considered by our board because he'd cost so much. Golovin would cost a fraction of the price and outperformed him at the WC. Much smarter buy. SMS looks like an unbelieveable talent but surely out of our price range.
-
Yeah, that won't happen. Only chance at all we sell him late in the window is if we can convince one of their star players (Isco or Bale) to come the other way. At least I hope that's what our club is thinking.
-
The combination of the World Cup and a shortened transfer window could either fuck us or really help us when it comes to Eden. All depends on whether he's desperate to leave or not. If he is, a move will have to happen extremely soon. Like, this coming week soon. After that there's surely no way we'd have enough time to pull off big moves to replace him adequately.
-
Would be super annoying to miss out on him to Liverpool. Pretty much the only thing they need to be considered co-favorites for the league for me is a top keeper. They're sorted in every other area of their team. We'll probably then have to settle for Butland.
-
ยฃ200k per week for a motherfucking keeper! And that's not enough!? ๐๐๐ He thinks he's far better than he actually is. Just sell him quick before we have to see him turn up at Cobham again. Hurry before Liverpool turn their attention to Alisson.
-
Appears Jorginho has snagged himself a MILF judging by his Instagram. His wife looks about 15 years older than him just like Cesc's wife. ๐
-
Leave please. No, really. Please fucking leave! Let us find out how long it'll take for RM fans to get sick of his lack of ball playing ability, poor distribution, and letting in soft goals every now and again. I bet you many will be calling for Keylor Navas to start after a while.
-
Pulisic would be super underwhelming for me, and I'm American. I think he's super overhyped. If he was another nationality I don't think he'd get much attention at all. People would say he's a solid player but not much more. Because he's the most talented American in years he has everyone fawning over him. Someone mentioned Bailey and Martial. I'd settle for those two before Pulisic. Both have huge ceilings and would be actually obtainable.
-
Same with me in regards to Asensio. Shown flashes of brilliance but would be a massive gamble. Isco would definitely ease the pain for most of our fans because he's super skillful and flashy. But again, he seems like an impossible target.
-
You just know Real Madrid will probably try to come in with a lowball first offer of like ยฃ80m or something as if we're mugs. Pay what PSG did for Neymar or I'd tell them to fuck off. They just received 100m for CR7 and are one of the richest sports clubs in the world. They can afford it.
-
Isco is the player I'd want off them in exchange but I highly doubt he would consider us. Super popular Spanish player who is at the biggest club in Spain. Why leave that for us who are outside of the CL? Asensio is seen as their future superstar and Bale is very injury prone.
-
Only thing that could soften the blow is if we could somehow get one of Isco, Bale, or Asensio plus a bunch of money. Otherwise, who is out there that's anywhere near Hazard's level we could sign that would come to us without CL football? I can't think of one. One huge step forward this morning, two huge steps backward now. Fuck.
-
And there it finally is. If Real Madrid come in with the right fee he's off. How on Earth will we replace him!? We better demand a world record for him at least.
-
Just thinking about how Sarriball, having Jorginho as the metronome in our midfield, and playing with 3 in midfield means that we should never ever be surrendering the lions share of possession to small teams or letting the likes of fucking Watford, Burnley, Bournemouth etc pen us in our own half like they did last season. We should now have the tactics and the personnel to dominate the ball against anyone other than maybe City in the league.
-
Speaking of which, I wonder if he converses in Portuguese or Italian.
-
Thing is, I don't consider him inferior. He has kept Ederson out of the Brazil team and we saw last season what a weapon Ederson was for City. Alisson provides that same threat and Tibo doesn't. Would be nice to have our keeper position settled for years with a ball playing goalie.
-
Yes, 60m or more is indeed madness if it were on its own. But it's not bad at all if we get a large sum by selling Courtois. Plus, it's worth it alone to move for Alisson so we won't have to hear Tibo's whiny mouth every other week about wanting to return to Spain.
