Losing Rüdiger in a free alone would be horrible. Losing him for free to a direct rival who he instantly and dramatically improves would be a sackable offense. I’d like to think that Toni has built up such a good relationship with the fans that he’d never consider going to a rival PL club. But if United offer an insane salary and signing-on fee he may be tempted. I’ll be absolutely livid if that’s allowed to happen.

I feel like there will be an explosion of anger and protests if Ricketts wins out. Surely, surely those choosing are aware of that, right? They would not only be highly controversial off the pitch but a disaster off it by being tight with their money. So in other words, Declan Rice has Harry Kane’d himself by signing that super long contract. He’s going nowhere until his contract expires. We keep seeing conflicting reports on whether Roman has a say on the next owner. If he does have a say I would hope he wouldn’t sell to the cheap Ricketts family whose Chicago fan base hates them for not spending any money. If he doesn’t have a say then it’ll likely come down to who can kiss this conservative governments ass the hardest. Which will probably be Ricketts…. 😒 Help us Boehly-Wan Kenobi. That’s a surprising XI. There’s a break after this game, right? Thought he would go all out with our strongest XI. I don’t mind the team apart from Sarr. We know Boro will try to come out and really pressure us with the crowd behind them and Sarr makes loads of mistakes when you press him.

Boehly’s group seems to have by far the most comprehensive package from those we know publicly. They seem to be coverage every base. I’d be genuinely shocked if it isn’t them at this point.

Think it’ll end up being the Boehly group but I’m still holding out just the faintest hope for the Saudi’s just for the meltdowns everywhere and for the guarantee that we will remain at the very top forever. But of all the American groups I think Boehly’s is the best by far. I’d be cautiously optimistic under that ownership. We may not be in the running for the very, very top echelon signings for £100m, but he will understand that investing in top players is necessary.

If Reece is back fit and we can actually have fans in the ground I’ll be confident. City and Liverpool should comfortably sail through to the semi’s. Was really hoping they’d draw one another and Real Madrid would draw Bayern to make our road back to the final much easier.

My memory is fuzzy at this point, was there such a massive frenzy to buy Arse, Liverpool, or United when they changed hands years ago? It’s crazy how everyday now we’re seeing some other group throw their hat in the ring. There was so much talk just last week about someone perhaps getting a cut-price deal since we were in such a hurry to sell. But damn, there are loads of party’s that are still willing to pay multiple billion dollars for the chance to own our club. That should bode well for our future prospects. Someone who wants us that badly will want to invest in the squad.

Hope the new ownership isn’t chosen based on sentimental connection to the club. Are Broughton and Coe rich enough to spend and keep us at the top? Or might they be preferred just because they’re English and Chelsea supporters?

Just hope we avoid Bayern and one of City or Liverpool draw them.
