Watch it be 3 hugely important players like J5, Reece, and Rüdiger. 😑😑😑
-
With Everton’s current injury list we should probably hope this match goes ahead today. If it gets postponed they’ll have a much fitter and more dangerous squad later.
-
I sense another midseason shutdown incoming.
-
Reports of more COVID positive tests in our ranks now. 😣
-
Still not bothered by them at all yet.
-
Still hilarious to look at the top of the table and see the top 3 with massive goal differences and Arse in 4th with a goal difference of 0.

I’ll just continue to say that the one thing that makes me jealous of City and Liverpool is how extremely comfortable each and every player 1-11 is on the ball and how their entire teams have essentially telepathic link ups with one another. They look like absolute machines on the ball in the final third that always have ideas. City especially seem to have a dozen different patterns they can use in around the opposition box to cause chaos and drag defenses out of position. Attacking wise for City they have De Bruyne, Mahrez, Bernardo, Gündogan, Foden etc who are incredibly consistent. For Liverpool it’s Salah and Mane who are incredibly consistent with Jota who can be awesome as well. Contrast that with us. Werner and Havertz have been wildly inconsistent since arriving. Pulisic misses like half of each season. Lukaku has gone months being in poor form. Mount and CHO can look awesome for a run of 3-4 games and then not do much for 3-4 games. Our array of attacking talent seems like a mismatch of different styles whereas those two clubs have attacks that look like their managers created their ideal players in a lab.

The way City relentlessly use the ball in possession and attack as a cohesive unit is totally demoralizing to nearly every opponent. We had been starting to look like that ourselves up until a few weeks ago. But these days a lot of smaller teams realize we’re vulnerable and it raises their confidence. Before, when we’re barely confessing a goal most games, teams were demoralized and thinking we were invulnerable. Now they see without Kante, Chilwell, and with all of our forwards out of form they can raise their intensity a bit and get at us.
-
Two players who can always pop up with annoying goals from nowhere. So that’s a huge bonus for us. Seamus Coleman out as well so that means Digne probably has to come in to the side having been frozen out by Benitez for a while. He may be rusty. So back to back opponents that are in terrible form and also missing all or most of their best players. If Kante is good to go let us hope we don’t make a meal of it like we almost did against Leeds…

Must be said, Toni is the ideal successor to what Sergio Ramos brought to Madrid for all those years. Big time character, beloved in the dressing room, a leader on the pitch, and has a bit of crazy, “wtf are you doing” energy. Like Ramos he also loves getting up the pitch and joining the attack. Can certainly see why they want him and why he’d be really attracted to them. I think he’s already 1 foot out the door, sadly. And it’s going to be tricky to replace him. There really isn’t a CB we’ve been linked with that does everything as well as Toni does. Some have this attribute or that attribute but none have everything in their locker like he does. Rüdiger would likely cost £80m if he was on a longer contract and we’ll lose him for free. 😔

Nah, I don’t think any Serie A team will be able to live with Liverpool’s style because they aren’t used to it. Think Liverpool will batter them if Salah and Mane are fit.
-
Ourselves, Liverpool, and especially City should comfortably get through in all our squads are fit. But hopefully Simeone and his horde from Mordor can scumfuck United out this round.
-
Fucking hell. Imagine if we see this extremely favorable draw thrown out and then draw Bayern or Madrid instead due to UEFA’s laughable incompetence.
-
They’re arguably the worst team in the league on current form. So naturally we have to be weary. Hopefully Kante is fit.
-
Definitely think Mase and Connor can play in the same XI. And what a hard working midfield that would be. Imagine all 3 of Mount, Gallagher, and Kante. Imagine trying to play through that midfield as an opponent. They cover every blade of grass.
-
LOL I was just coming in here to say that Everton look hopeless and utterly abysmal and that it sure would be typical if they bounce back against us.
-
His use of his large frame is so inconsistent. That’s what’s frustrating. There are some games where he shields the ball well and others like today where CB’s just repeatedly toss him aside. Similarly to his fellow German he plays like too much of a passive nice guy. He doesn’t have that switch to flip where he can become an aggressive bully. I think he is also sort of a victim of the personnel around him. Much as I love Mason, I think Kai would look much better and his numbers would significantly improve if he played in front of a classic #10 who does the creative bits for him. He’s at his most dangerous when he’s getting on the end of things and finishing instinctively. When he has to receive the ball and create for himself his feet aren’t really quick enough and his long range shooting is nonexistent. If we played with a #10 that had amazing through balls and creativity like De Bruyne or Bruno Fernandes I think Kai’s numbers would be amazing. As much work as Mase does for the team he doesn’t really have a link with any of our other attackers.

Kova has been out months and has COVID. Could take him a couple of weeks to get up to speed. Kante will have been out for a few weeks as well. We won’t be instantly fixed when these two get back. What would be most helpful is for Lukaku, Werner, and Havertz to start banging the goals in.
-
RLC will be a fine weapon off the bench but still can’t be counted on consistently as a starter. Just the calming effect on the whole squad that either Kante or Kova provide is huge. I pray that one or the other is ready for Thursday. The manner in which Leeds carved through us time and again is unacceptable. And I’m just seeing now we have Everton up next. Another side in horrible form. A side that may be 1 more poor result away from sacking their manager. Oh, boy…
-
Disgusting performance that I can’t even muster a smile about even though we’ve won. And remember, that’s Leeds with like 5 of their best 6 players missing and we’re at home.
-
Like Bowen last week, we’re making a bang average player like Tyler fucking Roberts look like a top player. That’s how dreadful we’ve been here.
-
That’s a foul on CHO 10 times out of 10 that we see all the time. Didn’t even get a second look.
-
Leeds have been TERRIBLE this season but they’ve outplayed us AT HOME here. How does a team like this play better football than Chelsea!? How!?
-
UN FUCKING REAL. Played through our WHOLE FUCKING TEAM!!!
-
Our midfield is literally just not there. Leeds’ defenders are just casually bringing the ball all the way into our half totally uncontested. Wtf is going on?
