Really not sure how i would take that to be honest! One the one hand he isn't exactly the inspirational type!! On the other hand he has done well in the past when given lots of money to spend!

This was a really good performance from us. The first half was about as good as we have played all season. We were really up for it, in their faces, passing well and having a right good go at them. We more than deserved to win that game and judging by the reaction of United in that game they really could be rocking after that result and could drop more points. We can do anymore than win our next 2 games and hope that united slip up somewhere. No matter what else happens, this was a very very good performance.

Well providing we hang on to everyone we will have Terry, Carvalho, Alex and Ivanovic as our 4 centre backs which to be honest is probably the best centre back group in a squad in the world!! Also Ivanovic can cover for right back if needed................... He has looked good in reserve games, will do well for us i think

You could be right, but i think the way Essien bursts forward with energy will be of more benefit to us in the next 2 games....

Well it is only good for us that he wants to say as he is still a top player. Hopefully once we get our squad and system sorted for next season we will see the best out of some players and i think he will be one of those players.

Could understand him wanting a last go at being a regular starter for club. But i think he will probably end up staying.

Can't see anyway that Frank will play this game or the Liverpool return. Going to be a very very hard game, we need to have Essien on top form making forward runs and supporting the forwards otherwise we will struggle like we did against Liverpool

I don't think that Roman will leave. And if he did then i don't think we will be in too much trouble. We do not owe money in the way that Man you, Arsenal and Liverpool do! Anyone who buys the club after him are going to have to pay quite a bit of money, and also they will have to be willing to invest, and at the moment there are quite a few people/groups out there willing to do that.

Wasn't the worst of performances we have had, although you have to say that the midfield 3 just wasn't working, couldn't get going! An absolute shocker to start with Malouda, one of our worst performers of the season in the biggest game of the season. But i felt overall we deserved an equaliser, the way they took the freek kick for their goal was a discrace, the foul on Drogba Pen/Free Kick should have resulted in Carragher off as the last man! Can't understand why the ref gave a foul against JT when he flicked the ball towards Drogba........ But how f**king sweet to score in the last seconds with an own goal infront of the kop instantly shutting up their sickening singing

Well hopefully the team will be right up for it, going out to them twice at this stage should be more than enough motivation for the players to go out and try their hardest to do them. 100% commitment and positive attitude is needed, closing down and a hunger to get on the ball......

I think Carvalho will be able to keep hold of Torres tonight... Just for once though in these games would be nice to see us take it to Liverpool. Still doubts over so many players tonight, and key ones too Drogba, Lampard and Ballack!! It is looking like Lamps and Drogba will be OK but will they be fully prepared? More likely to be the ref than that group of thieving c**ts!!! We have been our own undoing in the last 2 CL games. Far too cautious and allowed the scousers to dictate the pace and we worked on the basis of holding on and countering...

I doubt it. Jose would rather say nothing at all about something like that than lie about it, especially if the complete opposite was the truth. Although he has only mentioned Kenyon (who it is well know was right behind Jose and against him leaving) and Roman. Could it be that Jose blames someone(s) else for what happened??

It would be hard to argue against giving him another season if he should win the PL or the CL, but if we do keep him it would be a mistake, have no faith in his ability to do anything other than pick a starting 11 and sometimes he can't even do that right!

You can usually tell when a stroy has some weight to it, they are persistant and don't go away and are the same across the board in the papers. This one is just a massive split. Although the closer we get to the end of the season the more stories about him leaving come out

Completely agree, Liverpool have struggled against teams who take it to them. We have to control the pace of the game and to get the most from an attacking sense i would also like to see us go with Drogs and Anelka upfront - won't happen though.
