It would be hard to argue against giving him another season if he should win the PL or the CL, but if we do keep him it would be a mistake, have no faith in his ability to do anything other than pick a starting 11 and sometimes he can't even do that right!

You can usually tell when a stroy has some weight to it, they are persistant and don't go away and are the same across the board in the papers. This one is just a massive split. Although the closer we get to the end of the season the more stories about him leaving come out

Completely agree, Liverpool have struggled against teams who take it to them. We have to control the pace of the game and to get the most from an attacking sense i would also like to see us go with Drogs and Anelka upfront - won't happen though.

There is no way on earth that Drogba and Anelka will be starting in a 2 up attack! It will be Drogs with Kalou and Joe. Maka, Ballack and Lamps! The team picks itself at the moment, and if grant doesn't have the balls to try a 4-4-2 in league games he will never do it for the CL final. Would be great to pull a top performance out the hat and stuff them like we did a few years back 4 - 1 and have it virtually over when they come to us.

I think you could be right, to be honest i would prefer that to having to play Man you again. Just wouldn't feel right playing an English team in the CL final for some reason.

I think a hammering is out of the question. These games will be what they have been over the years and that is a very very tight and close game!! If we could take a score draw back to the bridge that would be a great result for us.

A 1 - 1 draw would do us very nicely ineed. Would be great to go into the second leg with a win but i think the most important thing is to not go into the second leg behind.

Yup, the media will be gunning for him now i think, they won't like that one bit. Like you say one of the apparent reasons for letting Jose go was that he was too controversial with the press and gave us a bad image - Grant doing a good job of reversing that i think

There is a very high possibility that Roman did give him the job because he is his friend! Roman maybe looked at it and seeing that Grant had done OK in Israel why not give him a chance! No if Roman rectifys that this summer and gets rid and brings someone knew in, then lesson learned. However if he doesn't after seeing what has happened this season, then it really is time to worry. Lets see what happens!

Previously the club has been run incredibly well by Roman, he has done wonders for the club and made us a seriously big club. Getting rid of Jose wasn't his biggest mistake. Appointing Grant was!! I have no idea how the club is run and who has what influence, and at the moment i am reserving judgement! Everyone believes that appointing Grant means that he doesn''t make his own choices anymore! Now that might be right, certainly if Grant is given another season then it more than likely is true because there is no possible explanation for it otherwise! But, if Grant is moved out in the summer then there was probably more to it. Roman has done a hell of a lot for our club, and for that at the moment i am reserving judgement on him for this fiasco. All the PR that comes from the club just isn't worth listening to.

And he won't be the only one, problem is that there will be just as many people willing to snap them up in their place. The club can be under no illusions as to how the fans feel now, they would look at fans websites and discussions to guage opinion. EVERYTHING that comes out of the club is going to be spin! Being fair the club never come out voluntarily and say the things they do, the press ask them the question and they have to give the answers that keep things smooth. What would happen if they said the truth? Q: "So Peter Kenyon, is Grant going to be here next season?" A: "Absolutely not, we never had any intention of keeping him on longer, infact we have Rijkaard lined up for as soon as the season is over. We only said that Avram would stay so that you press w**kers didn't stir up all kinds of crap" or Q: "Bruce, is it true that Roman is going to give Avram £100m to spend on players next season" A: "Well actually we are going to spend £100m and Grant will be doing the buying but as Director of Football. Roman wanted to give Avram a chance but it is clear (chuckles a bit) that Grant isn't good enough so we are moving him back upstairs and getting a proper manager in, truth be told we should have done it in the first place." Not really going to happen is it? In reality we have no idea what is going on in our club or what they want.
