  1. If we gave him another season we would get into the Wenger situation, having pretty good season and always competing but never really achieving anything. Because at the key times he cannot deal with what needs to be done.
  2. When you sit there and watch the game you can so clearly see just how little he can affect a game. All he can do is put out 11 players and hope that they win the game, you could see him sitting there last night thinking "god i hope we hold onto this" when we were under the cosh, rather than making a change to swing it back in our favour! A club like ours now with the players that we have and will always have will always compete at the top because we have a great team of players, but every single time this season (other than at Arsenal Home) when we have been struggling and the team have looked to the bench for help it just hasn't come..... THIS is the reason why a team who has had a pretty decent season are wanting to get rid of the manager of that team - because he cannot manage
  3. We don't really know that though. All we know is that he couldn't get on with Jose, for whatever reason that was - we really don't know. I am not convinced that Roman wants a "yes man" as such.
  4. Well football Journo's and commentators have a limited to no tactical understanding of the game and just work on basics like: result = good, pretty football = good, Liverpool = good, Chelsea = bad ect.....
  5. Actually pretty much everyone i speak to thinks we are a laughing stock for complaining, they look at what we have done this season CC Final, CL Semi final minimum, still in the Premier League and they think we are spolt and stupid for complaining. What they don't see because they don't watch our games is that the twat is useless at his job and getting by with luck and a extremely talented group of players.
  6. It's the Russian FA rather than Roman he has fallen out with, which is why it has paved the way for him to come to us after the Euros... Hughes with Zola and Clarke would be an interesting one... not sure how Hughes would do with a big club but i feel he would do well. It shows how desperate the situation is if we would be happy with Sven, i would like to avoid him if at all possible, but would be better than Grant! Rijkaard is the obvious target at the moment, looking like leaving Barca in the summer and with his buddy Ten Cate sitting here it would be a good move, one that could have been pre-planned.
  7. Yup, the football in general has been very poor, With a few exciting games in the mix. Kalou had a great first half and made some very very good passes. SWP was average again and Joe Cole had his worst game for a very long while. Essien and Carvalho were immense. Did you notice how often Tyler and Gray kept getting the players names wrong, happened quite a lot, Kalou got called Essien quite a few times and Malouda and Kalou got confued a couple of times too. And that is not even mentioning Gray STILL say Farrara instead of Ferreira.....
  8. Last night again showed his tactical knowledge is zero! A better side would have got a drawer out that game but everton had nothing to offer. Waited too long when we were under pressure to make a change to bring it back in our favour! We really cannot afford to give this twat another season...
  9. That story was doing the rounds ages ago. Hard to believe it's true in all honesty.
  10. Only out of 3 in reality, Rijkaard, Hiddink and Laudrup for various reasons. Rijkaard because of his previous record with the already here Ten Cate and winning attacking football, plus proven record at top level. Hiddink, big friends with Roman, links with the Russian national team falling apart at the right time for us coincidentaly, has a good record. Laudrup is good friends with Arneson and is making a big name for himself and doing it with good football. I just hope that one of them comes......
  11. A strange match really. First half possesion and general play was excellant, but when it came to the final third as we have seen all to often it just fell apart and we couldn't create anything other than the goal. Second half was pretty poor and i couldn't believe that a change wasn't made sooner to try and bring the game back into our favour. Essien had a cracking game, it was good to see him back on that sort of form and he took his goal well, was worrying when he went down like that but it was good to see he was OK. I think that performance has pretty much summed up our season, disjointed and not quite good enough!!
  12. I don't quite understand why he did this!! I can understand the Sky snub but why on earth is he acting like that in the main interview. Doesn't make sense to me.
  13. We could possibly get to Moscow without him saying a word to the players between now and the final!!! Doesn't give him anymore credability in my eyes.
  14. As much as i hate the f**ker, i doubt that his presence will be enough to put players off entirely. I mean we have managed to pick up 2 top top prospects in Di Santo and Ivanovic in charge. A few more like them wouldn't go amiss... We need to be bringing the younger next generation of stars in, the likes of Aguero and the such, and i think with the money behind him he would be able to bring in these sorts of players.
  15. It's not about Jose anymore..... it is all about Grant and the fact that he is just not good enough to stay on in this role anymore!
  16. And he can't even do that right!!! It is just crazy to think that he could be given another year!!!
  17. Lets be serious, no matter who is in charge of the team there is no way that either Kaka or Messi are going to be comming to us!!!
  18. Yup as far as i can see there is no reason to not at least have him on the bench. It's not as if Anelka, Sheva and Pizarro are playing too well. And Di Santo has outplayed both Sheva and Pizarro in the reserves.. Will be tough without Lamps and Drogs, with the feeling around the club at the moment i am just not feeling very confident about this game.
  19. Does Grant have enough players who will play for him, plus enough money to replace the ones who don't? Who knows, what it does show though is ANOTHER reason why Grant should not under any circumstances stay on next season...
  20. Would be an ideal time to experiment with some younger players now the league is all but gone - but it won't happen. The ones who would more likely be the ones tried out, Mancienne, Cork and Sinclair are all out on loan anyway. Although i would give Di Santo a run out, with Drogba out and Anelka, Sheva and Pizarro not firing i see no reason not to give a run out to a player who is showing a great eye for goal as a lone striker... There is a very low feeling among supporters at the moment and that is completely understandable especially with the stories comming out that Grant will still be here next season with £100m to spend on players. It would just be nice to see the team put in a decent performance which we have not seen for a long while now.
  21. I really don't know how to feel about this game...... i am not feeling very confident especially with both Lamps and Drogba going to miss this one. But i hope we can go out there and take the game to them and hopefully get the 3 points.
  22. Always good to hear players like Joe stating their desire to stay at the club. Everyone would love Joe to stay here.
  23. I couldn't imagine what on earth Grant could possibly say to players like Joe Cole and Michael Ballack to make them play better! The bottom line is that Ballack is in his second season and more settled now and able to perform better because of that. Joe Cole last season was injured for the whole season and the seasons before that he has had to contend with Robben and Duff and didn't get so many games. This is the first season he has had a real real run in the team like this.....
  24. Even if Joe and Ballack are playing their best football for us now it does not mean that has anything to do with Grant!
  25. Something about that theory just seems a little too clever for the club though, as much as i would like it to be true......... 3 names being touted now - Rijkaard is the main one now with Hiddink and Laudrup getting regular mentions too now. I think ny of these would be warmly welcomed by Chelsea Fans now..
