barca changed there whole formation to give cesc a place in the mid. they even shifted iniesta to the wings (not cesc) they changed from a well settled 4-3-3 to a 3-4-3 cos whenever cesc got to play in the mid, he was simply not good enough. http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/592999/Live this was barca's formation when they played us and a lot of other times too. he did play thru the center and only cos he was poor as a CM or no where near barca level. whats worse is people saying that this barca style would have suited him. no it wont have. rakitic gives barca speed, dynamism and that quick passing. cesc can put a clinical pass but i think he is way behind rakitic in the other aspects.

with us getting falcao, i think its going to be interesting to see who all we get next. with falcao, we have a lot of options in attack costa/falcao and remy as strikers hazard, oscar, willian, juan and remy as AMs. honestly dont think jose would buy a RW which according to me was our biggest flaw. still think a CM is a must. matic, cesc, rambo can get you only this far. need a decent matic replacement and please dont say we have RLC.

we all know he is good in attack, its the defensive side of his game that matters. its all about balance. we want eden to have a free role (or as free a role as anyone can have under jose). so we need someone who is solid defensively, and azpi fits the bill perfectly. i dont want us becoming arsenal where both the full backs are in the opposition box while the opposition counters and scores. azpi gives us balance, luis simply does not. people saying that its cos of jose's lovefest with iva is ridiculous.

well, this is weird. remy played 30 games, but i dont think 10 minutes in the end of the game trying to defend a goal advantage counts for that much. lets look at some stats costa - 20 goals, 2920 minutes, 146 minutes/goal remy - 9 goals,1176 minutes, 131 minutes/goal. so you see, remy was actually better and deserved more chances than he got.
