no dude. torres was a MISTAKE. but an honest one. the intention was still to improve our squad by having strikers like DD, FT, anelka. but this deal is a BLUNDER. that too knowingly. i simply cant understand how selling mata improves our squad. this move is plain stupid.
-
lets hope that is our plan.
-
for someone who was unwilling to sell BA to tottenham, i really want your opinion on the MATA transfer.
-
then say that. dont go on to say "cheatcharito" but in the same breath say that i want suarez. it just gives people mixed signals.
-
that is just weird dude. u r fine with a known cheat, racist, cannibal but not with some1 like chicharito?
-
i thought about that. but WHO is the most important thing here. i am actually out of names. lewandowski is gone. cavani and falcao would cost a fortune and i doubt they would want to move after 6 months. to be honest, i am not very impressed with costa and his release clause of 38mil makes it an even more no-no for me. so the point becomes WHO.
-
if mata goes (37mil), the minimum i expect is shaw (25mil) and zouma (10mil).
-
i am not aiming this at u but in general, that why are we so bothered about the "money". i am sure the people running the club have been taking care of that aspect. if we were actually in need of funds to buy some1 (say like in the summer when both falcao and cavani) were available then this would have made sense. right now, i doubt if there is a decent "replacement" available. and the "replacement" will have to go thru the exact thing that mata is going thru, ie, be a back-up. i am sorry, but like i said before selling mata to united (by the way, i would rather have that we sell him to psg for 30mil than united for 37mil), without rooney in exchange makes no sense at all.
-
who? who should we buy right now? and also, remember hazard-willian-oscar is playing awesome and it would be very difficult for any "quality" player to break into the team. hence the "quality" player will also be a back-up. also how does seling mata strengthen us. unless there is rooney involved, this move make 0 sense.
-
how? how does this move make sense right now? we will have no cover in the AM department (as well as having no cover in the defence). oh wait... we have kakuta... he ll be good enough!!1 right?
-
37 mil is a lot, accepted but united is still united. it would be IDIOTIC to strengthen them with some1 like MATA. swap deal with rooney or no deal. i would rather sell mata to PSG for 30mil than to united for 37mil.
-
hazard-oscar-willian is here and going to stay here for a long time (or atleast i hope so). schurlle is also going no where and he probably fills in the 4th AM spot. so expecting that mata leaves us in the summer, we have 2 spots open in the AM position. i would prefer moses as our 5th AM (homegrown, young, good workrate, and has already proven that he can be more than just useful in CUP matches). as for the 6th spot, i would prefer a youngster from the academy to take that role instead of someone like salah. piazon has been great for vitesse and i feel would deserve that outside chance to make it here. plus 8-12mil for a squad player who seems to be similar (like u said), to a couple of players we already have (marin and moses) does not bode well with me.

everton are 4th. they are a TOP TEAM. and the goal they scored today was created by lukaku's header. he created something, literally out of nothing.
-
drogba-ish assist. nice head down.
-
no loan? any news?
-
i dont get this argument... since RM as a team failed to win anything it should mean that CR as a player who plays the same position as ribery and has scored 7 times the no. of goals in the year does not deserve the ballon dor? what the fuck!!!! bayern munich won the CL and the bundesliga and the german cup and the super cup and the club world cup. ribery was a part of that team but INDIVIDUALLY CR thulped it. its like saying that if messi/CR go to fulham, score 50 goals, win jack squat, then their performances mean nothing since the their team has not.

do you smell what the rock is cooking

mata does track back and help defences but he is still a liability while defending. its not something that comes naturally to him. oscar on the other hand is great at hustling. people who are condemning oscar and saying he has had "poor games" should probably watch chelsea more often. pressing the opposition mid and forcing them to go wide is a MAJOR part of our game when we dont have the ball. and it is for almost 50% of the game that we dont have the ball. can mata do that? i dont think so. atleast on the level of oscar. oscar is extremely pivotal for the way we have set up to play.
-
agree with everything except for the "detestable part". stoke are so hopelessly void of any true quality in their team and squad that it is shocking!!! they make that up with a lot of fight, body on the line and old-school stuff which makes them a little like-able. i just hope they dont get relegated.

"elbowing United firmly out of contention for the Premier League title race" hahahahaha... nice one...

thanks man.

if he stays with us and is a part of the first team squad, can he still play in the youth CL?

watching lamps' reaction... it does not look serious, just some friendly banter.
