  1. Wow, you're a level headed chap - agree with you mate. The game is entertaining, Torres with a goal and assist(?). Really hoping that Azpilicueta will have a better game next half, really fancy him at the RB position. KDB has been transparent, let's see if he can find his rythm against a League One side.
  2. Well on contrary, I think it's a good idea to try to be sober and see how it works out. I'm sure your friends will appreciate it much more if you'd be the 'charming, social and funny' lad other than the jerk they need to drag home every now and then. Good on you and keep at it.
  3. It gives me shivers reading these math equations, respect.
  4. 4 point lead for Super Villains, grats mate!
  5. Deserved win for Basel and even though it feels bad to lose two times in a row it's not the end of the world. Commentator was spot on with saying that we are not a team at the moment, which is something Jose usually brings to the team - unity. Too many surplus players, all the stress goes into rotation and keeping everyone in form/happy etc. In time he will figure out his first eleven, play style. It takes time. As the topic of eggs is popular, I'm just going to say that let's count the eggs in the winter. Before that it's too early to predict unless it goes south too fast.
  6. You've come to the wolf's den with this post, but all in all I agree. There is a lot of drama staff could have avoided but chose not to and this is what deters older, more mature members away and isn't doing much good for the general forum's population. I know a counter argument will be that this is an international forum and everyone has freedom of speech and so on, but if this forum chooses to be a closed circle where only certain type of people are accepted than there will always be a negative atmosphere around here. Cheers for addressing this matter even though you might be laughed off like Kojo was, who might have taken it to a personal level in the end with a few members but his points were valid. Edit: I fall into the age bracket TOPTB mentioned - aka ' younger viewer' so it's not like I'm an 'old fart' having an agenda.
  7. Was uploaded in 9gag, but it shouldn't take away its credibility
  8. All in all it was a good game to watch, only the finishing was lacking. Nevertheless I really enjoy having Eto'o in our ranks- always wanting the ball and you could see from his vision that he still has it. I feel we lost our momentum with the substitutions, atleast with the first 2 - Schürrle and Mata were better than Lamps, Oscar. I do understand the Cole off, Torres on substitute though, nothing to lose. Them scoring so late in the half didn't help our case either. Hazard Man of the Match for me.
  9. Why fix what isn't broken? We might have been 0-1 down at half-time, but it wasn't due to our gameplan nor players as such - it was one misunderstanding in the box and they took it. Lampard, Oscar and let alone Torres brought nothing to the game, they all were invisible. At least with Schürrle, Mata our attacks were relentless, we held ridiculous amount of possession and it was just question of time when we were to score. With the subs, our chances were cut down to minimum. Substitutions were off. It's a defeat we must learn from, no need to tinker unless there is actually a need for it. Hazard was great, only player who gave his all. Eto'o might have missed a few chances but he was everywhere - was a joy to watch him play, excellent buy.
  10. Jürgen Klopp might find himself in charge of a team that might not be as star studded and expensive as some but does that make him a worse manager than our very own Jose Mourinho, Ancelotti, Guardiola?
  11. Maybe team wise but you can still strive to be the best manager.
  12. I find myself agreeing with Ray Wilkins 100%, also regarding Chalobah. They seem to spend more time updating their social media accounts, visiting the hairdresser or a mall rather than focusing on what's important. When was the last time a youngster made it in Chelsea? Only one is John Terry. Other's have failed miserably, especially the England lads. Thank god there is this country called Belgium that has been spoon feding us with the best talent there is at the moment. I'm most excited about Courtois, he seems to have that mental edge over every other youngsters. In that sense I don't hold high hopes for Josh nor Chalobah, they might think they've made it but that's far from the truth, isn't it?
  13. I'm all for it. One thing is that people might not whore likes but a the second factor is that if you like someone's post you'll quote him(her and say it with explanation and praise. Seems more rewarding than a simple like.
  14. I do get the where you are coming from but hasn't the fuss been over exactly the same matter? I mean some posts say more than 100 other. I'm not much of a poster but still visit the forum daily and wouldn't want to be left aside just because I don't spam The Pub. This idea could only work if this was strictly only a football forum and didn't have any other distractions. I also think the off topic matters are what keep some people also here for the long term. I'm sure members who are active in the Pub have built up a sort of friendship with eachother and don't think we should scratch that just because of an ego-boosting award.
  15. 2-2 draw with Holland, not bad. Could have been a win but I'm taking nothing away from our players. Considering their attacking power (RVP, Snejder, Kuyt, Robben, Lens), their pressing wasn't as sharp as it could have been expected otherwise. Well played
  16. It's high stake's game. The aim is not to necessarily protect the civilians, I think it's just to show who's the 'boss'. Sad thing is that people are getting in between and are sacrificed like pawns in a clash of egos.
  17. Give Lukaku a break, I'd rather he learns his lessons in a Super Cup rather than in EPL / CL games that matter. I'm not trying to downplay the value of this trophy but it is nothing compared to the two. Head high, chin up and I'm sure he will make the right corrections. Regardless of that, we should have finished the game sooner, we had golden chances and we didn't take them. Can't say our defense was more organized or focused even when Terry came on. It radiated panic, panic causes chaos and that is exactly why Martinez was rogue in the near post and even had the chance to pass the ball into the net. MOTM for me is Cech, saved us from the worst for a long period of time. A quick edit: We survived their onslaught for 40mins, we even scored - not bad in my books. Well played, it was an interesting game and only thing now is to be more clinical. Proud of our club. Btw, everyone is so busy looking for a rope to hang Lukaku but apart from the goal - where was Torres? One penalty might have fixated the end result but it wasn't the reason why we were doomed to lose this one.
  18. You were tactically better, got to admit that but talking about a win is a far fetched assumption. Your didnt even score a goal albeit having chances. I've worked on my team's quality for the past several seasons and that saved my ass today. Was I lucky not to concede? Yes. Was it a lucky win? No, because in the end of the day I did my part - scored 2 goals out of 3 chances, kept a clean sheet and played a possession football.
  19. A season of 22 games without a cup is brilliant - can't wait. Would be great to have 3 promotions/relegations also like previously suggested. Open for friendlies - team's name is SinineUltra!
  20. English refuse to use the normal SI system for quantities so they use stones, pounds, inches, yards etc. 1 stone = 6,35 kgs
  21. Try searching Micheal Kory's Fitness on YouTube - a quality channel with very solid advice, also Hodgetwins give great advice, but with everything look out what suits you the best! Good to hear you are doing great
