Just some shit journalism. Didier wouldn't do that and his representatives have said it is a load of rubbish.

Will it be funded with the help of the Spanish government like a lot of your projects?

Do they ever run out of money? http://www.rtve.es/deportes/20120622/real-madrid-abre-concurso-proyectos-para-remodelar-bernabeu/539244.shtml So they want to remodel the Bernabeu. Why? What is wrong with it as it is?

They are not their own country. They just like to think they area. If we are going to go down this route then several teams in La Liga would not be considered 'Spanish'. Espanyol and Barcelona would be Catalan, Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao would be Basque and Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruna would be Galacian. The way I see it, the Catalonian region has a slightly different culture and a different language but then the same thing could be said of many other regions of Spain. The Basques don't seem as bothered about independence especially since the ETA has gone all quiet. Galacia just has a different language and some people think it is more Portuguese than Spanish.

we don't tell them that though. We let them build it, get flooded and keep the stadium having paid only half what it would have to build it

reminds me of Ibrox a bit. We could form a partnership with the Malaysians and they could have an underground shopping centre on the site

You need competition in a team. I think Bertrand will be a very good player but he won't be the best in the world like Cole. In 2006/07 and 2007/08 Cole regularly rotated with Wayne Bridge and a bit as well in 2008/09. In 2009/10 Cole rotated with Zhirkov during congested periods and got injured before a Champions League game against Inter Milan and if I remember rightly Malouda played at left back for that game. I am just concerned that if Bertrand gets injured our options would be Ferreira at left back (who will be gone by the time Ashley leaves as well) or van Aanholt who is terrible defensively.

I'm not going to lie- we want to be one of if not the biggest club in the world at some point with Roman's ambition but those designs look pretty average. I mean it is a nice looking stadium but if you get rid of the power station bricks and chimneys it looks rubbish and just like any other new 4 stand stadium. The shed looks good but that west stand just looks like a slightly bigger version of the east stand at Stamford Bridge. They really could have done better I think if we want to have one of the world's iconic stadiums.

Victor Moses? No thanks, 4 good games a season for Wigan does not make you worth buying. He usually looks average for them in an average team

any UK fans going to the Brighton friendly? http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2817580,00.html

And you expect him to play all 50+ games a season?
-
When Ashley Cole leaves I'd be tempted to buy Natxo Monreal from Malaga. He is one of few full backs who can actually defend, 26 years old, although Malaga may ask a lot for him because I can't see a suitable replacement. There is a shortage of good left backs in the world at the moment and very few who can attack and defend.

Its all a matter of confidence. In 2009/10 our last six league games were: Man United (away) Bolton (home) Spurs (away) Stoke (home) Liverpool (away) Wigan (home) I would usually say that only the Wigan and Bolton games there are certain 3 points. I would not expect us to beat Man U, Liverpool or Spurs away and Stoke are always a difficult team to beat. But with a few good results and confidence and belief in the team they can beat anyone. We won at Old Trafford (Man U fans point out Drogba's offside but always fail to mention Macheda's 30 hand balls in the build up to their goal), beat Bolton in midweek after playing an Aston Villa team which was very strong back then in an FA Cup semi final, lost to Spurs but then smashed 7 past Stoke and won 2-1 at Anfield. Then we smashed 8 past Wigan in a title decider that could have been very nerve-racking. (Although lets be honest they did play most of the game with 10 men and gave up after 2-0) As long as we have a few good results in the lead up to our last few games I am confident we will do well

How many games you missed in 2011/2012
Liquidator replied to termninja's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Asia tour games, QPR (FA Cup) and Newcastle (home) in the league. Apart from that I watched or went to every other game Oh and the Champions League Final -
what a surprise we go to Old Trafford late in the season... again
-
I think they are called tifos
-
He should at the very least have a banner inside Stamford Bridge (not sure if he already has one like Lampard and Terry?)
-
where is We Hate Scouse when you need him? He found out last year that it was Stoke at home. I think we will get Wigan at home or Southampton away
-
Its a disgrace that in England we have to pay £30 per month to watch our own national league. Also on the subject of Premier League screenings I would much prefer Friday Night Football (Like in the Bundesliga and Liga Portuguesa) to Monday Night Football.

Louis Saha. If it weren't for injuries I think he could have been one of the best strikers in the Premier League
-
Every time I see that clip of Drogba looking over the pitch it makes me so sad

We should go all out for Earls Court now. According to myearlscourt.com full planning permission has not yet been granted. The total area in question is the size of 120 football pitches apparently so if we could bribe the council by chucking in some luxury flats into an application we could stand a chance. Obviously there are good transport links there, with links to 2 District line branches easily walkable from the centre of the site. Also, part of the land belongs to Hammersmith and Fulham council who will want to keep us in the borough.
