Your strangest celebration to a Chelsea goal?
Liquidator replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
When we played Aston Villa in 2010/11 (drew 3-3) I was sitting in the East Upper in the row in front of the commentary boxes. A certain Mr Stan Colleymore was commentating for talksport on the game and according to texts from my brother was being very biased about it. In the 91st minute John Terry scored to make it 3-2 and the place erupted. My first though: Stan Colleymore. I could not see him very well behind his monitor and desk but just turned around and shouted 'ave it you fucking wanker Colleymore!!!' at him. Turns out he had the last laugh because they equalized about a minute later -
I don't mind people saying that RDM got it wrong today because quite frankly he did. Loftus Road is one of those away grounds where you should attack- its hardly like going to Old Trafford. We needed attack earlier, whether in the form of starting Sturridge and/ or Moses or bringing them on earlier in the second half when it was clear that things were not working. What I won't stand for is people saying that RDM should be sacked. He got the tactics wrong against Atletico and QPR but we are still top of the league. Some people will happily criticise Di Matteo all day and put everything that went wrong against Atletico down to him and ignore the passionless players on the pitch that night.

Of course the man who won the FA Cup and Champions League and now has a team top of the league isn't the man to take us forward I am by no means saying that he is the perfect man to take us forward, it is too early to say, which is why I voted for that option in the poll. What pisses me off is how people assume after 2 games, 1 of which we didn't even lose, that RDM isn't right. Yes he made mistakes but he is in his managerial infancy and is still learning. It is always the same people who vote no to every manager and are always on their back after a draw or loss. The same people who vote 'no' in this poll were probably the same people who thought Ancelotti should have been sacked and wanted AVB sacked after 2 or so bad results (yes he should have been sacked but it is how early people decided that he should be sacked that annoyed me). They are probably also the same people who think it would be all perfect and rosy under Guardiola- a man who will make no mistakes and we will win every game. As soon as people launch personal attacks on Di Matteo (insulting him, not to be confused with insulting his tactics) you will be able to identify the real plastics and gloryhunters.

They are not one of us any more Well done both of you

Can't we just stay on topic? This thread is just turning into a Ronaldo v Messi debate

We should tour South America as well at some point- we could be big in Brazil with Oscar, Luiz, Ramires, Piazon etc.

Chelsea FC have kept telling the council that they oppose the proposed housing at Earls Court because 'It does not take advantage of the potential for a new stadium'. They may fight against the decision if permission is given to build houses at Earls Court instead of a stadium

its so controversial that you almost don't believe what you are seeing

is there anything wrong with saying Cahill just because he is English? Most teams have a captain from the country they are from Barcelona- Puyol Real Madrid- Casillas AC Milan- Ambrosini etc. etc. Of course if there is a better foreign candidate than an English player then they should be considered. It does help though because you would have a better understanding of the English game and English language. There are more important things than that though like how well you can motivate other players, your commitment, how you set an example to other players and have a genuine affection for the club. Contenders for me have in 4 years time: Cech, Ivanovic (both captains of their national teams at the moment), Romeu, Cahill, Bertrand For me, Vincent Kompany is the model captain of a football team. He is a great player, shows fantastic commitment and seems like a nice guy off the pitch. He also does not behave like a prat off the pitch like a certain Chelsea captain...

Dream scenario of Chelsea winning the league

Last minute deflection off Glen Johnson at Anfield from a Torres shot or deflection against Man U in Fergie time at Old Trafford coming off Wayne Rooney -
BK! <flan>

I would take him no matter what people say about him being 'old' and 'leaving at the right time' and that 'we need to move forward'. I imagine it would only be temporary or semi-permanent and sometimes you need to take a step back to go forward in the bigger picture

On Sky Sports news Guillem Balague (La Liga expert and very very good journalist) said that Ronaldo's best friends in the dressing room were Marcelo and Coentrao and before the Barca super cup game Coentrao said 'we need to be ready to face the best player in the world' which apparently annoyed Ronaldo

Thanks @sh0n3x

It came when it wouldn't let me post a while back the messaging icon in the top right corner disappeared and has not come back. @sh0n3x thanks for looking into it

This game proves that no matter how hard you try you can't polish a turd

2 Branislav Ivanovic Safe as a centre back only.. He should never play on the right again. And does that opinion come after he played badly for 4 games? Have you not reminded yourself that he has been one of if not the most consistent and reliable player in our squad for the last 2 years 4 David Luiz Needs to be put in the holding role. He cannot be the last line of defense. Way too risky. He will still be just as prone to lapses in concentration and making silly tackles as a defensive midfielder. His building from the back style of play is how the club wants to move forward with regard to style 7 Ramires Practically useless in the position he is playing If we played him as a defensive midfielder there would be people moaning that he is not strong enough/ cannot pass/ his pace is not being utilized. He is not useless just because he has started the season not very well 9 Fernando Torres Maybe getting to his best, but is definitely no Didier Drogba.. Back to his best? He was awful last night and usually spends most of the match standing on the halfway line 10 Juan Mata Won't be long till he gets burn-out How about looking at him in a more positive light? He was our best player last season and his great work this season has gone largely unnoticed due to the presence of Hazard. Yes he might get burnt out soon but the club do apparently want to give him a rest soon. 12 Mikel Don't get me started.. What on our best player last night? He may not be great but he does do his job well and does not moan considering he is naturally an attacking midfielder (where he plays for Nigeria) 19 Paulo Ferreira Useless The same Paulo Ferreira who has been a fantastic servant to the club, has never moaned when he does not play and has done very well when he does have to play? The man who always keeps Bale quiet? 23 Daniel SturridgeWhen he learns to play for the team and not himself he can be useful. Until then, useless... You are right that he plays for himself but I personally didn't find his 13 goals and 7 assists to be useless last season 40 Henrique Hilario Useless Has played quite well and done an honest job when needed.

Probably a lot smaller than that when we were in financial turmoil in the late 70's/ early 80's and were having to sell our players to survive
-
Ashley Cole.nice to see he noticed that now he is off the pitch and did nothing about that during the match
-
-
I do see that there were things wrong but these things happen in football. Sometimes all of the players don't play well but that does not mean they will play like that for the rest of the season.
-
No I just choose to spend about £1500 of my own money (quite a lot for a 16 year old really) on a season ticket and following Chelsea up and down the country. I also get up at 3AM to drive to the other end of the country in heavy snow to see us play Newcastle just for a laugh. I like to spend my weekends spending time and money on something I don't even enjoy because I have nothing better to do.

Don't see what is wrong with losing the Super Cup- its not like we have never won it or anything and it is just the Community Shield of Europe
-
According to Sky Sports News we pay him £92 000 per week? WTF?!?

from Term X's twitter- wants RDM sacked now
