  1. Hate the way people are turning against one of if not the greatest captain to ever grace the Stamford Bridge turf. Obviously JT has made mistakes such as this and the Wayne Bridge thing but we must not forget that this is a man in the media spotlight 24/7. Simple allegations can be blown completely out of proportion by the media and they will always pick up on the slightest thing that he has ever done and find a way to slaughter him for it. I am sure everybody on this forum has made mistakes in their life but we are at an advantage that we can live peacefully and not have journalists outside our house all the time. So people against John Terry just remember that, although he has made mistakes, he is still a tremendous player who wears that blue shirt with more pride than anyone else on that pitch. If we are going to remember him in 30 years time as 'that bloke who slept with another players wife and racially abused Anton Ferdinand' then that shows what negative thinkers we are today. In 30 years focus on the fact that this bloke is a youth academy product who has won 3 league titles, countless cups and is the most successful captain ever in 106 years of Chelsea Football Club.
  2. just sent him a text saying ''Wenger told me he is selling you in January''

  4. well apparently Bobby bloody Zamora is better than Sturridge
  5. Hopefully we can smash the scouse bin dippers. No doubt Luis I look like a rat Suarez will be doing all he can to cheat Liverpool a win The bloody lot just live off history and cant accept that these days they are not a big 4 team, more a team lost somewhere between mid table and the Europa League with bunch of championship standard players who are apparently word class making up their starting 11 and a grumpy old Glaswegian who does not seem to have a clue at the moment
  6. I think 'hope' is the wrong word. The whole Sky Sports crew would be crying their eyes out if Palace won
  7. its done in Germany and nothing ever goes wrong in Germany (really it doesn't) so we should have it here
  8. well at least we can show that we can win ugly
  9. Mikel I think it is a difficult one. I would have Drogba taking them if he is on the pitch. Lampard seems to have got worse since 2009. He used to score every one he took but has not been so impressive the last few years. He could hit them along the floor which wouldn't give the keeper a chance but recently they have been coming off the ground which makes them a lot easier to save. He missed against Fulham in the Carling Cup and his penalty against Norwich was less than convincing. It was neither in a corner nor down the middle so if the keeper had gone the right way it would have been easy to save. Drogba is generally quite good at penalties. Apart from against Spurs I cant remember when he has missed. When Luiz took against Genk it was not a dreadful penalty. However he was a lot more and almost too casual in the way he stepped up which perhaps distracted him from getting the ball right into the corner. Against Fulham he just got on with it and scored a very good penalty. Mata and Kalou are both good takers too.
  10. will a Howard Webb statue complement the Fergie one?
  11. bloody scousers. I really would not mind if we went out of the cup at this stage if we played bertrand, mceachran because it would be great experience for them to play against the likes of suarez, downing etc. P.S I bet they will take the 6,000 allocation thinking that they are a 'big club' and only manage to bring 3000 down on a weeknight. They will be playing us at the Bridge 9 days earlier anyway. Poor old Palace fans having to share the train up to Manchester with the 'Mancs'
  12. Even if we are losing games, I blame the players. They have not taken chances in the last 2 games which he can not do anything about. OK so the tactics with the high line against Arsenal were probably wrong but look what happened when we played Man U earlier this season. The tactics were spot on and had it not been for poor finishing and dreadful refereeing we could have won 4 or 5 nil. Obviously he is trying to get a fast passing style into our side but he cant do this when he is unable to buy players capable of playing in this way. Instead we are stuck with players like Kalou, Malouda, Anelka all of whom can't pass for ****. Once he can buy the players he wants and ship out the ones he does not want, it will be easier for him to print his style of play onto the team
  13. He has a photo album of his first two months in London http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.308451079171415.95123.123613977655127&type=3 What I love about him is how no matter how talented he is, he always puts the team before himself. Against Arsenal he scores an absolute beauty and could have done what 99% of players would do and waste 2 minutes doing a stupid self indulgent celebration. Instead, he is telling his team mates to get back in position, win the ball back and score again. Brilliant person. Brilliant player.
  14. I think we need to be patient with the youth system. We may not have produced much since John Terry but we have only recently become a 'world class' academy when Abramovich rebuilt all of the facilities for the youth team. OK so our Youth team results have not been great so far this season but that is just 2 years worth of players aged 16-18. For all we know, we could have some incredible 11 year olds in our youth system. Barcelona have had their La Masia academy for years and consequently they have been able to introduce their footballing culture to everyone who plays for them and find the best ways to teach and nurture players. This means that they are more successful, which means that more players break into the first team, which means that their academy system gains reputation and more players will end up joining. I imagine that Abramovich wants something similar to La Masia but that will not happen overnight. We will not produce a world class player or two every year because it is just not possible with an academy of our size at the moment. As Barcelona have grown they have been able to produce more world class players, all in one generation (Iniesta, Xavi, Valdes, Pique, Puyol, Pedro etc etc) because of the large pool of talent that they have at their disposal. As for giving the youth players a chance, I dont think that giving them the odd 60 minutes in the FA and Carling Cup and 5 minutes at the end of a league game will do them much good. Josh and Bertrand have looked just as good as Lampard and Cole this season and they should be trusted. If they make mistakes on the pitch due to lack of experience then that is fine because they will learn from it. They will not learn not to do something if they are sitting on the subs bench. And if Villas Boas is going to send McEachran and Bertrand out on loan, dont bring in Modric and a new left back because then the younger players will never get to prove themselves in the blue shirt
  15. What a surprise dinosaur and old brucey have been lying to the fans again!
  16. Samsung Corby. If you ever did want a cheap ripoff of a blackberry then here it is
  17. Then we can chuck this lot out after a defeat because if we lose then all of these players are rubbish
