Really want Chelsea to draw a Devon side away one day in the Cup, hopefully Exeter as i live an hour away.
-
For once, sadly i won't know about anything until i return from my course on Monday If we sign Messi on a shock last minute £150m deal i wont have a clue
-
This should take more of a big seat for the big news of the day.

I don't see why it's made as much of a deal as it is. Hasselbaink use to shoot quite often when the pass was the better option, yet he never got any abuse from fans for it. I would rather have my forwards obsessed with scoring than appear scared of scoring (like Torres appeared under both Carlo and AVB).

In a weird way i will be a little bit relieved if it's only a loan after i get over the disappointment, im convinced he will be sold and its killing me. Sturridge is a lot better than Borini, Fabio would never have been more than a squad player imo, but i do appreciate a lot of people have a different opinion when it comes to him.

I have said all summer that Liverpool are not good enough to finish above us. If we do what can be best described as an act of insanity and give them Danny (compared to what they spent on Carroll £15m would be giving), then i will seriously have to re-access my opinion. The worse thing about is i am away in Yorkshire, a place with no signal from tommorow (missing deadline day and the super cup ) i won't find out until Monday the score or whether Danny is still here. I am going to be fucking screwing all weekend.

There must be a reason he was signed. If the club genuinely thought Cech could do a VDS this signing would not make sense, because even when Cech retired, Courtios would be well into his 30's. I think the rumours that Cech might have to retire early might have an element of truth to it. I wonder who will try and get him on loan next season? i will laugh hysterically if Levy makes a sneaky bid. He will probably try and make us pay installment's to him every time he plays.

This rumour is making me incredibly nervous!!!
-
he joined us because we just won the double and he was getting treated like shit by Benitez.
-
Stats regarding Drogba in the double winning season. 37 goals in 44 games only one was a penalty. The record in England is 41 by Ronaldo and he needed a large number of penalties to reach that, without the pens i think he would have been on 30/31. He missed 12 games. Ironically we won them all scoring 39 goals, which only suggest's he would have helped himself to a fair number himself had he played those games. So if he played all the games and took penalties, add the penalties on top he would have probably got to about 50 and take into account the games he missed and the goals he probably would have scored, is it fair to say he could have quite easily have hit 60-65 that season?

Berbatov is the kind off player that would score a hatfull against teams in the bottom half of the table. It was a poor record against those type of teams that cost us a CL place via the domestic route last term.
-
Spot on, had he left in 2011 we would have remembered a Chelsea career that petered out.

Would you have classed Barca as revenge had we lost in Munich?
Tomo replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
To cut it short after we went through at the Nou Camp last season did you instantly see it as revenge for 2009 regardless of what happened in Munich? -
I know its all hypothetical now, but i can remember the famous night at the Camp Nou and how we had finally got revenge for the fateful night in 2009. Now ofcourse i see it as that now but at the time i still felt we had to win the final for it to be seen as revenge or "settling the score". Barcelona went on to win in Rome that year so for it to be proper revenge for that horrible night in 2009 we had to do the same in Munich, in my eyes anyway. What do you think?
-
and the ACON also his CL suspension early on, had he played the whole season and took pens i seriously reckon he would have hit 55-60 goals that season, he was unplayable. It was kind off ironic that despite him smashing all before him, we won every game averaging 3 goals a game when he didn't play
-
Goal difference is still goal difference, if a winner cannot be decided on points, its goes to goal difference then goals score then head to head, then if it's all level a decider. Same with 2 legged ties, it's harder to score away goals so if you tie it goes down to who got more away goals, thats fine had Torres not scored late on in the Nou Camp we would this forum have protested for extra time instead of celebrating us getting to Munich?

For Cole i meant 2010 when we won the double. Mata's goal and assist rate alone deserved him a place, even more so when you consider the team around him were stagnating. He without doubt had a better season than Bale (who was also in there). But tbh the PFA award's are corrupt, Walker YPOTY over Aguero Bale got it in 2011 despite one assist as a WINGER Rooney over Drogba in 2010 Giggs in 2009
-
After Mata and Cole getting overlooked for PFA team of the year last season and in 2010 respectively, genuinely would not surprise me if he doesn't get player of the month.
-
There will be covering different position's anyway, Raul the double pivot and Yossi one of the front 3 places.
-
We might aswell just make use of him for the last season of his contract, end of the day it can't be bad if we have a huge injury crisis to have an experienced International as an option.
-
I heard he might be going Arsenal on loan Probably bs but putting it out there just incase, we seriously never learn if its true.
-
Tommorow after the Northampton vs Wolves games (i think). Liverpool fans will be praying for a Wolves victory in this one
-
It doesn't work that way, its the same for every top club challenging for trophies. Fergie didn't even bother trying to integrate Welbeck and Cleverly until they went out on loan and proved themself's. It's just too high pressured an environment for the top team's to throw young players in out of nowhere these days, the only exception to the rule is Barcelona. Piazon may get the odd sub appearance if he stays, but he won't be a regular until he has had atleast 2 great loan spells in the Championship (Bertrand) or 1 great loan spell in the Prem (Danny).
-
League 1 can be a stepping stone for a Championship loan then a premier league one (just like it was for that lad at spuddles). if we have designs on bringing him through he will have to go on loan at some point, teams challenging for top honours just don't throw in youth players with no first team experience and make them first team regular.
