  1. I've resigned to the distinct possibility that we won't finish 4th. While this is, of course, a bad thing for the club, it is not catastrophic in any way, shape, or form. I think it is far more damaging to the egos and sense of entitlement of some of the fans than the club and its future prospects of success.
  2. I was more upset by how we lost than the actual loss itself. Got a scruffy goal and thought we would at least get something out of this. I would say Citeh were the better team on the day, but that's not saying much. It was a very winnable game. One area of deficiency that stuck out to me, was our inability to keep possession. We gave the ball away cheaply far too many times.
  3. I don't give a toss if someone wishes him well, prays for him, etc. I just want this young man to pull through this terrible situation and get back to being a healthy 23 year old.
  4. Absolutely loved Drogs, toward the end of extra time, imploring the crowd and his teammates to maintain their intensity. An absolute legend.
  5. This is my main concern. When the honeymoon is over and father time once again starts to rear his ugly head around our most vital senior players, what will the way forward be, and who is the one to lead us? I'm all for enjoying the moment, but I'm not so myopic as to think that our problems have been solved now that AVB is gone and we've gotten some good-fantastic (yesterday being fantastic) results.
  6. A bunch of different download links here:
  7. Or Manure. "They never give up, blah, blah, blah." But this is our night and they (the media) can't take away the spirit and ability our lads showed against a quality Serie A side in the face of overwhelming odds.
  8. I want the appointment of a new manager to be sorted as soon as we can. I don't want us to lose time and potential players in the transfer window waiting for a new manager or waiting for the new manager to "assess" the squad. The summer window is critical this year. We have glaring deficiencies that must be addressed if we wish to resume our status as a top club.
  9. Not exactly a top notch performance, but we did the business and got a bit of rest for some of our key players. Some of the oft-maligned players actually did pretty well (Mikel and Lamps). Kalou was actually decent, ish. Two final thoughts: Stoke are one of the worst teams to watch, and ShawX is a walking yellow card.
  10. Borini puts Roma ahead inside 4 minutes. He's scored in 4 straight matches now.
  11. I don't think it would be the language barrier that would prevent him from coming.
  12. That deal is one of the most blatant, transparent acts of fraud I've seen in a while.
  13. I gave you a rep more because of this statement. I could not agree more.
  14. AVB's contract was £14m for 3 seasons. At most we'll have to pay him around £11m in a buyout.
  15. One of the biggest problems I had with AVB was his stubborn insistance on his philosophy of football. The impression I got from some of his interviews was that playing beautiful, entertaining football was first and foremost on his agenda, but it should be winning. Ultimately his insistance on his principals lead to his downfall.
  16. For the love of God, no Rafa Benitez.
  17. Could've fooled me. Sure seems like you're hating on him.
  18. I didn't get to watch this one. Does anyone have any links to video of this abomination? Thanks in advance.
  19. James is quality. Came on Friday against Benfica and scored a short time thereafter. He had some really good performances in the CL as well. This is the type of player we should go for. He'd be much cheaper than Hulk, and could possibly turn out to be better. At 20 years old, we could get at least two contracts out of him and he would have resale value if we wanted to go that route.
  20. Absolutely, but one never knows with our board and the managerial carousel.
  21. Yeah, Fabio is doing quite well at Roma. My point was that Borini did well and progressed through ranks, and we let him walk for free. With Bamford at least should be able to get some dosh, if we have learned anything. Bamford has looked good in the couple matches I've seen him play.
  22. This rumor is per Ian McGarry, so I wouldn't put to much faith in it. Jose was definitely in London though.
  23. Well done Spuds. When I actually need you to beat someone, you get horsed. Simply put: I hate Tottenham.
  24. BR just signed a very long extension at Swansea, but I agree he's showing a lot of ability at Swansea.
