The team picks itself. The only dilemma is who to play on the wings. Kalou is a given ( ). Who will be the other? Sturridge or Torres both are big liabilities on defence. The only comparison we have is their offence and I give the edge to Sturridge cause he's actually played that position! Sure he's been frustrating, but he has had a couple of devastating games on the wings too. Torres can't do shit on the wings, yeah he had a nice cross for Mata, but that's not enough. Plus Sturridge is much much better at keeping the ball at his feet and beating a man, Sturridge is a no-brainer over Torres on the wing for me. Sturridge should play LW imo, not RW. First he'll be forced to pass more often and secondly we can't have him and Bos on the same side. I almost don't even want to play Bos at RW because in this game I don't even want the RB to advance past the half line imo. Play Ferreira there. Cech Ferreira - Cahill - Luiz - Cole Mikel - Lampard Kalou - Mata - Sturridge Drogba I would also encourage Sturridge to move central sometimes and run at the Bayern defence, I don't think their CBs have a chance against Sturridge's dribbling. We have to make the left side a legitimate threat otherwise not only will Bayern overload on our right side with Ribery, Kroos and Muller they will rape us on the left too with Robben and Lahm. Agreed. I actually want him to start behind the striker against Bayern because he can DESTROY that backline with his dribbling. Mata can still be influential on the left wing. We can't be going to Bayern trying to park the bus and play on the counter, rather hit em hard and early. We should be trying to exploit their weakness first rather than trying nullify their strengths first and hope to get a goal on a counter. It's the CL final, you play to win.

You can't play Ramires in the midfield pivot. I don't know why people think he's an option there. Either you play him as a right sided midfielder (in a 4-3-3) or on the wings (in a 4-2-3-1).

Since Bayern will be playing a make-shift defence, we must go for the jugular. Start Sturridge? Kalou has to play on the right cause we have Bos at RB. Cole will keep Robben in his pocket, I have no doubt about that. We could play Sturridge on the left and Mata in the middle, but Sturridge is useless on the wing and Mata can still play great there. Sturridge is only useful in the center and we should play him there as he and Kalou are the only ones that will actually run at their defence. Kalou isn't reliable against anyone but Sturridge can potentially rape the Bayern central pairing with ease. Just my two cents, what do you guys think? Well for me personally, I didn't get interested in football until I moved to Canada and made some European friends. Until then I never even had any exposure to football. Of course I was a Brazil fan, similar to the rest of the world lol but I just knew about Ronaldo that's it.
