There is a case considering Terry admitted to saying "black c***" The problem is there isn't enough evidence other than Terry himself showing that he was repeating what Anton said. And I don't think that's true based on the after match meeting where Anton says he never accused Terry. So if he never accused Terry during the match then surely Terry was the first one to say it. But then Terry says he heard it, maybe he did. It's very confusing. I think he's guilty but not sure if there is enough evidence to convict him.

That was his 4th match in 15 days. And he won't turn that good that he will play as much as Mata did in his first season. He's not at that level yet.
-
Ganso is good for 1 magic moment each game. Other than that he's incredibly inconsistent and not as influential a #10 should be. He's also made of glass. Oscar > Ganso without a doubt imo.

I'm all for getting youth into the squad but I think defence is the last place you want to risk forcing in the youth. I'm more than happy having an average age of 30 in the defense. Experience > anything in defence more than any other position in football. Maicon at RB = Ashley Cole at LB, with the proper rest, they are capable of elite level displays at this point in their career. Would love him here as a bridge until Brana gets old enough to become the backup and we go looking for a first choice RB in 3-4 years.
-
So many playmakers not enough wingers, I really hope Chelsea isn't getting serious about playing tiki-taka shit.
-
He is definitely better than Josh at the moment imo.
-
Can he really play in the double pivot? Someone who watched a lot of him needs to do a scout report. Ive watched a bit of him but I personally don't think he can play in a double pivot. Maybe we should switch to a 4-3-3. Ramires/Meireles - Mikel/Romeu - Lampard/Oscar Hazard - Torres - Mata This probably gets the best out of the midfield but not so sure about the front 3.
-
Wait a minute, this tranfer is done? Wow. I love the guy but I just hope the money paid for him isn't deducted from our pursuit for a winger.
-
I am huge fan of this guy. His playing style is one that can be very influential in a team. I would say probably more than anyone on Chelsea (he's like a Mata that can play in the midfield). I don't mean now but once he develops more. That said I don't think he can play in a 4-2-3-1 in the double pivot.

Hmm..didn't know of such a thing. That's cool to know. That does make it interesting then, cause not sure in that case there is enough damning evidence to convict Terry.
-
If he is found innocent, he has a very strong case against Ferdinand for defamation. Especially considering it cost him England captaincy, that's a big deal.
-
The only problem with the Ashley Cole bit is that he's not allowed to testify. So not sure how his part will be taken into account, if at all.
-
One thing Chelsea and RDM have to realize. No matter how inconvenient, we have to make sure our playing style complements Torres. Not because I want Torres to do well, but because if we don't have a consistent threat in the middle we're going to be in trouble. We need to make sure we get Torres firing for Chelsea's sake more than anything. I do think this is very much possible, especially with Hazard I think. I think Torres will benefit from Hazard more than Mata because Hazard is a lot more direct than Mata. I also think Lampard is smart enough and a good enough player to adapt his game to Torres' playing style.
-
He didn't really play a lot of big games last year. If he's on form and there are chances I don't think it'll matter if it's a big game or not, he will score. I think Nando's playing style cant change in respect to the magnitude of the match. He never was and never will be able to go next level in big games like Drogba did simply because his playing style doesn't allow it. Drogba has a lot more variety in his game compared to Torres, really to any striker of his era imo.

Yeah I read that. Anton denied it. And since there is no evidence, it holds no merit. It could be true, but it can't be proven and won't help Terry at all. Just seemed like a question a lawyer would ask just to hear the answer to see if they can clutch at straws. But since Anton just straight up denies it, it's done and dusted right away imo.
-
He is using up the clearing up as his defense. That is his defense. He's saying he REPEATED it cause Anton accused him. Anton denies accusing him, which seems pretty clear and legit. So if Terry was the first one to use those words, which looks like he was, then it's a racist remark. Regardless of what he meant by it, it's a racist remark.
-
No Anton didn't deny the after match meeting. He agreed with everything Terry said about the after-match meeting. But at that point he hadn't seen the youtube video. Anton confirmed he never heard anything racist or accused Terry of anything racist until he saw the youtube video AFTER the match. Terry's whole defence is that Anton accused him of calling him a "black c***" but then Anton says he never did and moreover the after match meeting kind of confirms that Anton never accused Terry during the match. So then looking at the video and Terry's confession that he did say those words pretty much seals it that he'll be found guilty imo. Of course I don't claim to know the law, so maybe there are loopholes or something but just by reading what happened, I don't see what case Terry has.
-
Anton accused him after seeing the video after the match. He never heard it during the match so nothing happened. But that also confirmed that Anton never accused him during the match which lays waste to Terry's defence that he said that statement during the match trying to clear up the accusation that Anton made towards him, which never happened so which means Terry said "black c***" as a racist remark and not as part of a sentence trying to clear up Anton's accusation.
-
Yeah so if Anton never initially accused Terry of calling him a black c*** then Terry has no case when he says he was just trying to clear up the accusation. Sounds like he'll be found guilty.
-
I'm confused. It sounds like Terry admitted to saying black c*** but his defense is that he was trying to clear up Anton's accusation. But then Anton said that he never accused Terry which can only mean that Terry did in fact call him a black c***. If this is the case then looks like JT is guilty. I mean, JT confessed to saying black c***, regardless of context, looks like guilty to me. Am I missing something?

Don't think many. Maybe 1 or 2 at most. That said, no point in discussing it imo. He's first choice guaranteed and if he doesn't perform then I'm sure Chelsea will be forced to make a move in January. If he starts scoring and plays good consistently then those "winning" goals will come automatically. Even if he scored 10 goals last season and all were winning goals, that's still not good enough imo. He has to score goals and play good consistently to have a future at Chelsea. So discussing winning goals is useless imo considering he score like 11-12 goals in total last year, so either way he wasn't good enough.
-
No of course, I agree with you. My point is that he'll definitely score goals with Mata and Hazard behind and he'll also contribute with his overall play apart from goals, so I'm very confident overall he'll be a good striker next season.
-
No way we sell Danny this year, considering I'm sure he's already been promised he's second choice striker rather than first choice or even second choice RW. I think he's happy with that role. Now if this season goes like last season for him, then I can see him leaving, but I don't think it'll happen. Chelsea isn't stupid enough to let a talent like him leave especially considering we're rebuilding. He might not be the most complete player and probably never will be, but if he develops and matures he has the attributes to be a very very dangerous player. He's so direct and with great dribbling and quick feet, he's very very dangerous player for defences. 1 on 1 he's top 5 dangerous players in the EPL imo.
-
I think he probably meant he doesn't "like" to train. Just like students don't like to study, but that doesn't mean those same students don't study hard. You don't play as many games as he did with Lille without getting injured or even rested without training very hard.
-
He's good enough to be a squad player, why loan the dude out and to the Championship? No way! We can't afford to rely on Essien as much as we would have to if he's loaned out.
