Our first priorities needs to be a left winger and rignt winger, equally. Becase Sturridge shouldnt play RW next season, like Mata shouldnt play LW next season. They both need to play in central positions, and i think AVB knows that.

Yeah, realy liked those quotes. That means AVB wants two wingers: he admits we are looking to get Hulk, and he says we want a LW to replace Mata. And Hulk he's an right winger, not left winger...so it means 2 new starting wingers and Mata in the middle.

To me it seems too open for AVB.. i mean, why would he talk about Malouda and Kalou as players who are about to leave, when we are in the end of Feb? thats a bad move. And as i said, if he said it its a big relief. It means we want to spend big money in the summer, wants to make a 1st/2nd place team, not 3-5 like i was afraid of.

I fully agree with the idea of placing two CDM's in today's situation, but i wouldnt choose Mikel as one of the two. I think AVB should pick Essien, and get him into form. When Essien is fit, you cant compare him with someone like Mikel. And Im not talking about Essien "The Bison", im just talking about a fit Essien- with his current abilities, AND when he can play for 90 min. Essien he's still an extremly smart footballer, you dont lose it, and the most improtant thing imo- we will finaly have that 'Persona' in midfield. Not sure if you will get me so i'll explain.. I think that one of our big problems this season was that we are playing with very soft/young/non "leader-ish" midfielders. We allways had those big names in midfield- Maka, Ballack, Ess, this season we didnt had that big name CM that the opponents know they will have to get past him to get to our defense and goal.. Romeo is talented and a good CDM overall, but he isnt gonna 'scare' no one for now. I think we have to have this kind of player who brings that threat on the opponents. (Not going to talk about Mikel, did it enough in the past... bottom line is that i dont believe in him).

Thats it. BUT, not Torres. The guy doesnt suffer only from 'lack of opportunities', he's just a bad striker this days. He can prove wrong, but thats he's status for now.

Daniel Sturridge. I think that the more improtant additions needs to be a CM, RW and/or a LW. Sturridge proved he can be consistent in scoring goals , and if he'll play in his position- as the stiker, he will score more. So i dont see the point in wasting Abramovich's money on a striker like Cavani or Falcao, instead of wasting the money on world class players in the positions i mentioned. You dont have to have a hugh name as a striker... a good finisher who plays near players like Hazard, Hulk, Moutinho (just for example) and Mata will be enough for us.

Could work. Very quick front line- exactly the opposite of how we are playing football right now. Maybe we'll still wont play great football, but at least it will be quick...

Another great cross by Ivanovic, but Daniel's header was brillent... was happy to see he can do that so well. I realy want him to play as a striker already... i think he's doing well on the right- he's our best player along with Mata, but i cant wait to see him playing in the front with more pacy players around him... including Mata off course. I think Sturridge can be a fantastic striker... he has what it takes to be one of the best imo.

Thats exactly what i was going to write, but like Sloth said- Drogba instead of Torres. Definitely. We are playing 4-3-3, but we dont have any real wingers.. our wingers are better in more central positions. 'Diamond' formation would be a nice try by AVB.

4231 isnt gonna save us becuase we dont have the players to play it. Imo, in a perfect world Mata should play CAM, and Sturridge CF. The thing is you cant do any of those 2 changes, becuse than you will have to put Malouda/Kalou on the wing.
