I'm an American and really really dislike international games.

I'm not sure if it is because it's fashionable to bash Jose for everything right now or if people just love to jump to conclusions for no reason, but this is a bit much. People talking about how Mou is holding Willian back, look how great he is for Brazil, he got two assists, etc. I didn't even watch this game and I can tell you, that's just too much. Yes, Willian may be held a little by Mou's tactics and how much he has to cover ivanovic, but come on. Do you really think he tells Willian to kick every single corner short? Do you really think he instructs Willian to stay stationary with the ball every time he gets it and let everyone in front of him make runs and then just pass it to the side? Do you really think he tells Willian to stop in front of defenders and then do his little shimmy and cut the ball with the outside of his foot? Do you think he tells him to take too long with every decision he makes? I don't think so, Jose might be holding Willian a little bit (I for one think he would be much better in the middle), but Willian's main problem is himself and his decisions. (this is not aimed at anyone in particular and isn't meant to offensive or rude)

Don't forget they should have been down to 10 men as well. They shouldn't have had the advantage they had in terms of players on the field

The injury took up almost a minute and a half....only 30 seconds extra added. That added on with all the other referee decisions makes all of this clear.

This is the main thing I noticed too. Seemed very eager to make runs through the channels and it was great to see. I've only ever watched him at the World Cup, so I have no idea if this is the usual from him but if so, it's great. That stretches the defense, makes spaces for other players even if he doesn't get the ball and tires them out. Also it keeps the defense honest and keeps them guessing. I feel as though since Willian almost always does the same move (stand still then take that little touch to the right) that it makes it 100x's easier for the defense. They only have to defend one way and it makes the whole backline more comfortable. Oh and don't forget, if this is what he does often, fabregas is going to have a field day. And it should be even better when costa plays to open up even more space. Again, I have no idea if these runs is something he always does, but I mean more so about what kind of impact they can have. Did anyone else notice some type of intentional chemistry between him and hazard? As soon as Juan jogged on, hazard kinda nudged him on the butt and said something while clapping. Then it seemed as though Eden was always looking for him and wanting to get him involved. Always feel as though hazard loves to have that someone to interchange with that is close to him in technical and football brain aspect.

Yea everyone is saying he was unlucky, but should have scored them both, in particular the second one. I don't think it's just bad luck, it was just bad finishing. I had no confidence in him scoring either to be honest. He did have a good overall performance today though.

Anytime he has the ball, I just can't get excited. I automatically know that we won't score when he has it. It's sad really. Once the ball touches his feet, the attack is usually killed. So, so frustrating and honestly a little embarrassing. I find myself yelling at the tv more at him than anyone else. And just like everyone else can see, tactically/defensively he is just brilliant

I never understand this. If we play with players that are all registered for the squad, why does it matter? What is the point then of even registering a full squad to UEFA? If UEFA punishes us for that, it would be completely ridiculous. They should never be able to judge a manager's opinion on what he thinks is best for a certain game.

I'm not sure if it actually counts as 3 assists for baker. The Salah goal, he hit it against a defender and then shot it again and finished it. So it wasn't directly from the pass of baker. It was an absolutely brilliant ball and I wish that it would count as an assist though. He's still the clear Man of the Match for me

Have you watched his games? I haven't and that's why I'm asking. The notion I have heard from a lot of people is that he hasn't improved much defensively at all but is still very very good going forward. And I've also heard that he is extremely inconsistent

To be fair, they aren't printed or ironed on at all there. Someone could have just put those letters and number on them and taken that picture. And I'm not sure if that is even a jersey
