definately. and looking at his options anyway....Barcelona & Real don`t need him, tho Jose could try to get him just to piss Roman,Carlo & Arnesen off,i guess....Man U are the ones who strike me as our main challengers for his long term services, every other top club don`t seem to have a need for him,....that would sting if he went to Man U..we gotta sign him. Gael and/or his agent gotta realise he`s gonna have to work himself up to be among the top earners...if he signs a 5 year deal with us,ihe`s likely to have it extended and with a further pay rise to closer to what the top earners get when he`s 22-24, if he plays like many of us believe he can. great news about Bran..or promising news anyway..be great when he actually signs on the dotted line...strange how Italian teams have been sniffing round him since he signed for us..(and perhaps before) ...with what happened in Italy in midweek tho, if i was a Serbian i wouldn`t want to be playing in Italy..the Italians didn`t seem up for violence in midweek but they love it when the odds and numbers are heavily in their favour..e.g. ref and opposing players get hit by coins,bottles,flares...a couple of "scarfies" find themselves outnumbered in a dark alley and they getting cut up and usually their arse cheeks (weird i know..) etc... i really do think Branislav is one of those players who truly loves playing for Chelsea tho,the style of English football etc....i think if he went to spain it would be like when Mark Hughes went to Barcelona in `86, certainly talented enough but too strong a physical presence to not be targetted all the time by the refs who want to protect their frilly knickered fairies from the mans side of the game. as for Bosingwa..i was getting nervous for him but now he`s fit again..i think he got time to show his worth even if it`s gotta be by january..on the 1st of January,Chelsea will play the 18th game from now (Villa again btw)..i think aslong as he`s properly healed, even taking 3 or 4 games for him to get his match sharpness back..there are plenty of games left.

Chelsea vs Olympique de Marseille
Duppy Conqueror replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Match Chat
i agree..sounds like something the americans would use...tho after all the ways ive seen Josh McEachran`s name incorrectly spelt i guess i understand it a bit. -
he`s only 18 (19 next week) the reserves will be fine for him for the time being...going out on loan away from the club and the coaches eyes seems to be more of a waste if Mancienne,Cork,Di Santo etc..are anything to go by.

José Bosingwa makes his come back
Duppy Conqueror replied to LDN Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
is great to see him back but we should as fans be prepared to be patient and not expect the real Bos to be back for a while...the way Essien comes back from injuries is far from normal,so we should not expect the same from Bos...just hope that he can eventually get back to his pre-injury form. is a shame the Man City game has come a month or two too early..because against their left flank we could really have done with a firing on all cylinders Bosingwa. still reckon we will get a hard fought victory tho.. -
is good to see that the boys have been given squad numbers but why so high numbers when there`s plenty of lower numbers available? i`d like to see the youngsters that have been already promoted to the regular 1st team squad get higher numbers too..4 and 6 available so JB could have one of those numbers for example..

Jose was exactly what we needed back then..Carlo is exactly what we needed last year, what we need now and what we need for the future. Hail to King Carlo long may he reign and bring the pain to our enemies in England and Spain.

i think he could be exposed as a CB in a flat back 4..but could potentially be great in a back 3 playing the sweeper role, in a few years...i think most good DM`s could be good sweepers.. keep him where he is tho.

Injury Latest - Terry, Sturridge & Romeu out injured.
Duppy Conqueror replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
in Carlo`s press conference today he named 4 starters..i`m trying to remember the exact 4...Kalou was one of them,i`m sure Ramires was another and that he named the fullbacks but can`t remember who they were...has been a long day in work and my head is a bit mashed at the moment. hope someone with a clearer mind can clarify who those other two were. he has said Bos and Bruma are both healthy again but Bos is ahead of JB in fitness after JB`s Op. neither will play sunday tho.. -

just to update this Carlo has announced that Bos will play for the reserves on wednesday. Source: Chelsea TV

as much as i like Bos..(think he`s one of the top 3 or 4 RB`s in the World when healthy and fit) with his contract running out in the summer tho,i do think that he really needs to get some games under his belt and show he`s fully over the injury before the year is out or he`ll be on the transfer market come January, ...Ivanovic could obviously fill in at the RB spot but if he did that would weaken the CB group. so yeah definately a position that needs an eye kept on. i`m not sure if Van der Wiel is the answer if Bos does leave, he seems a decent enough player..but with him being 22..the promising options we have in our youth ranks at RB would have their path blocked by someone who in the long term..may not be a better option than them. for that reason i think i`d prefer Srna. on the subject of RB`s what happened to the Germany & Leverkusen RB Castro ? he seemed to be one to watch a couple of years ago but has faded out of the limelight since then..

Hilario - Suspected broken back
Duppy Conqueror replied to We Hate Scouse's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
if it is a broken back..hope its as minor as a broken back can be..i`ve fractured my skull twice and although i am still affected by it to a degree,it wasn`t as bad as it sounds or could have been..hope if it is indeed broken then he`s as lucky as i was with the outcome. my thoughts for him bypass his playing career and are for his own personal well-being as in..if he can walk again etc...if it`s any kind of broken back, then at his age i`d hope he does the sensible thing and retires. -
ha..word for word that is exactly what i was gonna say!

Should We Still Hate Liverpool?
Duppy Conqueror replied to gary gordon's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
it`s not recent ..my first hate was for the kid catcher in chitty chitty bang bang, then shortly after for LFC,when i was 8..then a couple of years later it went to just scousers in general. i hated LFC and its fans long before i hated Tottenham,Leeds etc.. yes they do ..i`m suprised you havent picked up on that by now to be honest... their mindset is..the English title belongs to them..Man U took it off them, they hated that but for years believed that it was only Man U who could stop them and if Man U finished 2nd then it automatically meant they were champions..first Arsenal came along and took what they think is theirs by rite and they hated Arsenal..then Chelsea came along and then their hate was turned to us. think you could do with spending a couple of months in Liverpool to be honest..i have and my hate for them has only grown stronger since... they talk about the community spirit they have in their city and how it`s unlike every other city..but spend every day of the year thieving off each other (they are basically the East end of the North),if Cameron stopped the benefit system in Liverpool alone he would half the money paid out to the whole of britain....they don`t class themselves as English but expect the rest of England to provide for them because they are too thick and lazy to work. i could go on..but i think i`ve covered enough.. -
The Future Of Chelsea Football Club
Duppy Conqueror replied to Jose M's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i`m thinking once Capello has left, we (England) will play with a more modern formation..that can fit both players into the team even tho they are similar..like Spain can succesfully play with Xavi & Iniesta in the same team. -
The Future Of Chelsea Football Club
Duppy Conqueror replied to Jose M's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i think only a serious injury could stop him becoming a huge star for England in the future (i expect him to be in the next WC for us in Brazil and take it by storm)..and thanks to having a manager like Carlo, he will be for Chelsea also. -
No,i had no person on here in mind when i made that comment....just my own observation of how difficult it is to be a mod & admin on any online community, due to my own experience of doing it myself. yes,you did get it wrong but until you and everyone else get to know me better and get to understand me more...i appreciate you or any other member questioning me to clarify what i mean by the words i use, rather than taking them the wrong way...with the high number of different nationalities on here, i figure misunderstandings are common. for the record, if i make a comment aimed at any particular member,i will either quote the post that member has made or use their name in my own post....if i don`t then the post is not aimed at any particular member.

Should We Still Hate Liverpool?
Duppy Conqueror replied to gary gordon's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
mine.. Liverpool Leeds Tottenham Arsenal Newcastle because of their fans. because of their team, manager etc.. Real Madrid Man City Man U Barcelona Inter Arsenal Newcastle (because they employ the pikey c*nt that is Joey Barton) -
yeah absolutely...tho before Carlo came i held out hope that Jose would return to us...now if i had to choose between Jose and Carlo i`d rather Carlo due to i think him being better for what the club needs at present and in the future (next 10 years or so...though the way Italian managers age like wine..it could be a 20 year wait till we see a new manager, which i`d be cool with )
-
indeed he does and i think that comes from him having been a top player in his days, compared to Jose who learnt his skills through study...you`ll never learn more from second hand sources than actually being there and of course Ancelotti was coached by some great managers too. Jose although he was a player himself..he never had first hand experience of being on the pitch in big games as a player like Ancelotti did..nowhere near...so he can relate to what goes through the minds of top players more. Carlo is more humble i believe despite all that he has won in football over the last 30 years..i think Jose is more humble in private with his players than he is with a Mic infront of him..but not as much as Carlo. for Jose it`s "i`ve won this and I`ve won that"..with Carlo it`s "we won this thanks to the wonderful players and my coaching staff etc.."

after just reading that article on the official site...it`s great to hear how highly he rates Sturridge..and that Yury is very much a part of his plans for the season..would prefer to see him play in a more attacking role and to see what Ash,Yury and Malouda would do together on the left side of the field...surely on paper atleast, theres not many better left flanks than that in world football,if any atall...but obviously not for this game with Ash being rested.

i havent tried the link provided yet but on that post, Anelka is included. i`m delighted by Sam Walker getting the nod for the bench..great experience for the kid and Turnbull & Hilario are so woeful..i`ll roll the dice and say Sam Walker wouldn`t do worse given the playing time. great to see Josh there too...well done Carlo for having the balls to do it.

i agree 100 % bud..i think even if those youngsters struggle at times,we have a good enough team to compensate for it against the non-top teams... we would probably have the same number of points in the Prem if we played all of our games from start to finish with 10 men so why not "carry" atleast one in the starting line-up..none of them have done anything major wrong in the games they`ve played in thus far during their young careers. with that in mind the team i would personally pick is Cech Ivanovic Alex Terry Van Aanholt Ramires Essien Zhirkov Benayoun Sturridge Malouda bench:Anelka,Ferreira,Bruma,Mikel,Kakuta,Kalou,Turnbull if JT doesn`t pass fit..put Ivanovic at CB and play Ferreira bringing a younster to fill his place on the bench..perhaps McEachran. if all goes to plan with a comfortable score line and no injuries with 25-30 minutes to go..i would bring on Kakuta for Malouda,Bruma for JT or Alex . this could very well turn out to be a more frustrating night for us than we think tho..i think we`ll win but due to conditions with travel and the Zilina players being so motivated by probably playing the biggest game of their careers so far and us not being familier with the opposition. (their players may not be familer with ours from playing against them, but i`m sure they`ve seen our players in action many many times on the telly etc...it could be the trickiest game we`ve played so far this season...or it could be the easiest..we`ll find out tomorrow..

i have been admin on my own site for 7 years...it`s not something i would have got involved in if i had known at the time what i was getting myself into..a thankless task, where your integrity gets questioned on a regular basis,on the decisions you`ve made for the good of the community as a whole.....there are many arseholes in the world and the internet has given millions of them a portal to spew their hate. so i understand how hard it can be sometimes ,so whatever admin and mods on here decide to do about these kind of things..you unlikely to get any grief off me for them. as for how Tx has been since i`ve been on here..it just reminds me of the WWF "villian" characters i`d see when i was a kid....more Panto than anything else..maybe i`m just more thick skinned or something from my life experiences..but i`ve never been offended by anything he`s wrote on here, since i`ve been here..perhaps a lil annoying like a dripping tap on times when threads get derailed..but nothing more. i understand why admin & mods took the decision to ban him, when he has upset many people,it`s a tricky situation to deal with..now that he has been re-instated i welcome him back and hope that for the sake of others who his behaviour has bothered and himself, there can be some change from how he and others have behaved towards each other in the past.
