  1. Bran always gives 100% and is a player with a huge team first and hates losing mentality.why Jose and I love him. shouldn`t always be our RB but certainly deserves his place as one of our most selected players. his bad games comes in ones rather than for months at a time.
  2. Tevez is the typical Argie mercenary .his reluctance to learn English despite living here for so long speaks volumes for his character.he would never have played in England if it wasn`t for the money and will soon be seen burning union jacks in his homeland with the rest of the surrender monkeys.
  3. I don`t think RLC is ready for long periods in the starting 11 but certainly I want to see him get the "mikel minutes". loaning players out to get extra minutes does not always happen, they are always coached by coaches who coach in a different way than what we would do,surrounded by different class of players in training and during matches, for a team that have their own agenda where his development is hardly considered. Zouma is an established squad player now.we can`t hide behind saying that we are giving our youth a chance just because of him.RLC has been given time at the end of the season and didn`t appear out of his depth.the same as Kalas when he had his chance but although I wanted us to keep him around after that, atleast in midfield there is more rotation for fringe players to get a chance. if we loan RLC out we will need to sign somebody who will either block RLC`s path back into the squad or be a wasted signing.
  4. Umtiti certainly captures a better mental image than Danny Shittu.. I like Kalas and Omerou but their transfer fees have already been paid and they`ve been loaned out more than once so they are probably on the future sales list now.
  5. i still hate Tottenham,Liverpool and Leeds more than Arsenal. always have,i guess i always will. for me i don`t hate clubs and their fans just because they may be our rivals for honours..i`ve always had a good relationship with some Man U fans..the ones i engage with are just like me,hardcore loyal fans who go everywhere with their team. i don`t engage with fans of non CFC teams on the internet. i don`t like Arsenal, their fans are indeed rather wanky and cuntish but Tottenham,Liverpool and Leeds are the evil trinity for me. i hate Arsene Wenger most about Arsenal. i think Arsenal will be stronger with Cech in the short term.they really need to have a stronger spine of their team tho to be title contenders at the business end of the season. i don`t like strengthening them tho. we have always under Roman done the right thing by veteran players instead of dragging our feet when they want to leave but are still under contract when it comes to things like family..Crespo,Deco,etc...even before then when Laudrup suddenly got homesick after 10 years away from Denmark. but not really to a rival for silverwear. he is a legend, one of the greatest keepers we`ve ever had and a few years with a wanky team can`t take that away from us.just wish it was another case of when Gallas left and we got a player like Ashley Cole in return.
  6. the terraces were so much better atmosphere..it`s mad to think that probably atleast 50% of TalkChelsea have never stood on a terrace. we used to get away with a lot when we could lose ourselves in the mass of bodies..the Shed end has lost it`s soul since they seated it.
  7. until somebody plays for us surrounded by our players and coached by our coaches. nothing is certain in if they will make it or not. we over loan players and I don`t think it helps their growth in regard to becoming 1st team squad members. football is football but each coach and team have their own agenda...I can think of plenty of even World class players who unless they are in the right circumstances for them they might not look very good atall. loan moves do sometimes work out but it appears to be the generic remedy for everybody under 21/22. I`ve no real idea who out of our youth teams will make it,i doubt if any,but not based on talent, but due to the lack of effort as a club in integrating them into the 1st team squad. we loan players out and buy young veterans to block their way back in,regardless of how their loans go.
  8. (I still can`t quote on here) if Terry and Cahill were both injured we`d have Zouma and Bran at CB.with Omerou at back up who can play both CB and RB,put Dave at RB and true LB I mentioned earlier at LB (Kalas has already been loaned out I believe or would have kept) ..we can only count for a certain amount of injuries. playing it too safe and having too much insurance in experienced players is not good for the club in the long run. the 2011/12 season has been mentioned in other threads to apparently justify fear of getting some young players involved but we aren`t living in the past when different young players were around, different group of veteran players.
  9. nobody is proven at Chelsea until they play for us. lots of players have proven themselves at other English clubs and not panned out with us.every transfer is risky, slightly less risky if played in England before but still a risk. I`d rather us sign a LB if Luis leaves and promote a CB we already have on our books for the 4th choice CB job. but that would be too long sighted for Jose and the current Chelsea regime.
  10. I don`t want us running the risk of starting a crucial game amongst others with another Turnbull..even tho against Inter at the bridge he was our best player.
  11. our number 2 Goalkeeper job might not seem appealing..but the back up Goalie for us and other top clubs is one injury away from starting in major games like FA and European Cup finals. I think if I was a goalkeeper playing for a team who aren`t likely to feature in those games, especially European Cup finals then I`d join one of those teams atleast for a year or two, which I think for the next decade or so will be what we will see..back ups coming for a year or two. somebody like Begovic could always go back to some team like Stoke in the future.he can start a ton of games elsewhere but he won`t get the chance to be involved in a European Cup run at so many clubs. some moments in life are just priceless and worth more than a lot of lesser ones. especially when he can have both.
  12. would rather the 3rd Striker role be jobshared by Bamford as the primary but when injuries or suspensions occur Solanke with also signing somebody like Schurrle in Greizmann who can play primarily on the wings but also upfront when required. but of course we don`t do what every other top team in England and Europe do.we won`t give our own youth a chance, even when we have arguably the best pool of youth in Europe on our books.
  13. maybe we just offered a straight swap as our starting bid to see how far apart we might be. shame we haven`t got some young timid French boys to set Arsene`s peado juices drippin`.
  14. should have an option where it says something along the lines of "I`m fine with it being just a loan..would go radio if we actually signed him to a big fee/and or longterm contract". I would have voted for that option.
  15. love Oscar and Willian. never criticised either. Oscar imo just needs help with his stamina/playing in cold weather..whatever causes his slump in form that usually starts around December/January. Oscar on form is football porn for me.
  16. I think if Felipe Luis leaves he would be a good replacement. in certain games can move Dave to RB and play with two true fullbacks. Bran should always be in our matchday squad because he can play anywhere in defense. in certain games we could also play with a 3 man defense of Zouma,Terry/Cahill and Bran.and use Dave and Rahman as wingbacks. I think Dave at RB/RWB would be able to be more effective coming forward, where he wouldn`t have to cut back to whip in a cross. also Rahman turns 21 next month..by the time he`s 23 or 24 when he should be ready to become a first team regular starter,Bran will be winding down and be ready to be replaced as a regular starter.(by Dave)
  17. we have money to spend before selling anybody. about 100-130m I`ve seen. don`t recall where.
  18. the start could be easier but I`m not concerned by it. in a way I`m glad we get Man City away early..certainly better than with us both on a late season title run. Swansea won`t be a walk over but we should beat them at home.
  19. Felipe Luis + Salah for Griezmann I would offer then take it from there. according to the mirror (I know...) we are interested in Augsburg and Ghana Left back Baba Rahman.
  20. has a loaned in back up ever caused so much typing?
  21. we paid 21m for SWP I believe but splitting hairs.i didn`t include him nor Chris Sutton because they were flops but their initial transfer fee wasn`t imo overpaying at the time.both were young players, internationals with a good track record with their previous clubs.
  22. for me just replacements for Cech and Remy(if he leaves, hope he doesn`t) Mikel and Drogba can be replaced by promoting players already on our books. a little fine tuning and we should retain our title. don`t care too much about Europe but with a little growth in some areas by the players we already have we have a shot at winning that too, relying on what the winners of the competition always do in avoiding playing all the top teams on the same cup run.
  23. I`d rather integrate RLC into the back up role for Matic. if Matic got suspended or injured and missed games where we may not trust RLC to be defensive enough we can use Zouma or Chalobah..clubs who have been among the top sides in Europe for longer than us don`t rely on a full 24 squad of established players. we want to see young homegrown players make it with us but turn into over protective mothers when it comes to actually playing and wrongly believe that our top young talent should be farmed out to be coached and gain experience of playing for clubs that have different styles of play than us and different agenda`s. where even if they have a successful loan it does not prove they are ready for us until they actually play for us. cut out the middle man, rely on our coaches and integrate into the team those who have enough talent to atleast be given a chance in League Cups,Fa Cups and against the lesser talented Premiership and European teams. we can`t cram all our good young talent into the squad at the same but it`s important to introduce one or two a season or in 2 or 3 years time we are gonna face having to either place 5 or 6 into our first team squad at the same time or lose most of them to other clubs. we have far too many young players to be coached up by ourselves at once and those who aren`t yet at the top of our crop, can be loaned out. but loan outs should not be used as a generic remedy for all of them.
  24. his age is the bigger factor in his over inflated price tag. if you have shown flashes of brilliance, which even I who don`t rate him very highly will admit he has, they make the presumption that he will become better in the future because of showing it so young. Chelsea have never overpaid for an English player. only Liverpool,Man City have really done that. Jose has said in the past that it`s important that teams have players from the country they play in and I agree with that.but I`d rather us be patient with that and either promote our own great young English prospects or wait for other players to become available. I`m not totally against signing Sterling but 50m is what you pay for a player whose relationship with his team isn`t broken. Sterling is doing stuff that if we really want him and be patient,Scumpool will either have to put up with the headache of him being unhappy or accept a more reasonable fee.
