@ Oscar. (i can`t quote on here) they chose not to keep Makalele...those who make the decisions..whoever it was it means the same result..i`m sure there were players who didn`t want to see Mata,De Bruyne,Ballack,Cech etc... leave us but they did because it`s not their decision. sometimes managers, sometimes presidents, owners etc.. my point was good to great players leave great clubs all the time. and it`s not always because they are no longer good enough like was stated above by others.
-
to go back to the original question..quality..maybe elsewhere. but quality viewing England and Germany are above Spain,Italy etc..
-
i`ve been to many NFL games including the supposedly most vocal like Arrowhead and the Linc in Philly. and been to about 250 football grounds throughout Europe, about 80 in England (and Wales). in the NFL grounds it`s just noise really..their chants if you can call them such or like the fucking brady bunch wrote them..."here we steelers, here we go.." etc..when a TD is scored there`s loud cheering.but they just don`t do the singing, chanting, comedy like we do in Football college football, fans in America are closer to atmosphere of European football crowds.
-
Makalele was seen as surplus to requirements at Real Madrid. and became a key member in our back to back titles whilst they floundered. great teams discard good and sometimes great players all the time. we have done it ourselves. reading too much into it whichever way you look at it...there`s no pattern to be found that dictates if this is a good signing or not until he`s played a season or two for us.
-
I`d normaly say,sit him and let him get a week or two under his belt getting to know his team mates ,building an onfield chemistry but if the other option is Cuadrado or Moses I`d rather role with Pedro before he`s had chance to settle. ideally we have Willian on the RW if Bran is still in the team for West Brom.
-
maybe he has been seen at a London airport again....I must be joining most the clubs in Europe and America if my flying activities were so closely watched..
-
I don`t believe there is a law that states all transfer requests from players must be shared with the media. behind closed doors he may have already said he would like to join Chelsea. it may just not be his style to use the media to get what he wants, which when we are talking about a player we wish to sign as a longterm player,is a good quality to have. rather than a case of him having no ambition. Martinez has alluded to the fact that Stones is interested in us if you read between the lines. we handled this transfer badly from the start and have been playing catch up ever since.we pissed off Everton and they are therefore playing harder ball that they would have..but I think we will get him eventually.
-
he`s gonna be bringing his A-game when we play Man U after that.
-
he will at the very least be a good option off the bench even tho I expect him to start plenty of games..with Cuadrado I have the same feelings I had when Torress came off the bench. like we have just had a player sent off and down to 10 men. I don`t think I or we will get that feeling with Pedro.
-
Jose isn`t going to give up or admit he was wrong about Falcao so soon. which would mean it`s Loic who gets the boot. unless we aim to use him as cover for Wing aswell as CF a sort of replacement for what Schurrle offered us and let both Cuadrado and Moses leave with the imminent arrival of Pedro. then decide between Remy and Bamford who will be the 3rd striker next season.when Falcao is off the books.
-
to get back onto the topic of Pedro. I`m not entirely sure if he`ll be a good fit (every transfer is a risk and I have doubts even Messi would be a success with us) I certainly would rather see him on the field than Cuadrado..who we may even be able to sell for around the same fee we are paying for Pedro with the way he`s still seemingly rated by some of the clubs in Italy. he is atleast pleasing on the eye and has some skills to play more than one position.
-
talk of replacing Cesc already..
-
cancel the Kalas loan. let him cover at RB and either CB too or free up Bran to just be the 4th CB. I still want Stones but if they are going to demand 50m..which is more than the smelly city of Liverpool is worth then fuck em.
-
nobody..i just hoped it would go away.. I`m only here as a regular during the summer anyway as when the season kicks in and the 2 games a week start between going to games and working all the other days I don`t get time for it minus the odd..woo hoo we beat the shite hart laners, drunken visits.. I click on the quote button and nothing happens..maybe the glitch will work itself out eventually..
-
Zhirkov saved our season and helped us do the double. hopefully Baba is rewarded with a longer stay if he can pull off the same feat.
-
I haven`t even been able to quote anybody all summer.now that is hard to continue a conversation on ever changing threads..
-
hope we sign him,he`s good and looks to be a future great,i don`t like Martinez and I`m not a fan of Everton or the way they are playing hardball, remembering how when we were a club of their stature we didn`t stand in the way of our players joining bigger clubs when they wanted to leave.aslong as we got a fair enough price but in some cases just cancelling contracts to set them free and us free from a player whose mind is elsewhere. however, our policy of not integrating our own players into the squad.even when they perform well at clubs of similar stature but instead looking to sign players who have done the same. make us known only as a buying club so when teams see us having a need, they know that us buying and sometimes overpaying is more likely to happen, they see us as not having any other option even tho we have the best youth teams in Europe. these transfer sagas will always happen until we show we are not so desperate for their players.
-
winning football is all that matters to me.. if they want to change the style then they have to do more than just drop JT for an inferior CB because he`s quicker in a foot race..
-
I thought we could have used Oriol for part exchange but now I`m not sure who would may be enticing to them and surplus to us. maybe Moses with the connection between him and Martinez.
-
JT was hands down the best CB in the league last season.i`m fine with integrating younger players into the lineup but none are worthy yet of taking his place on a regular basis.
-
I take from it that we are looking to move Dave to RB and want Telles to compete with Baba. if of course the rumours are true..the signing of Baba has not stopped them. prior to that I believed him to be just an alternative to Baba.but now not so sure..should find out soon. his club has said that if an offer comes in closer to their evaluation they may be willing to sell.

Who Chelsea fans hate the most and who dislikes the Blues

in the 80`s and 90`s up until about 97..whenever I went to England away days if I heard a scouse accent you`d know without needing to ask.that they were Evertonians. -

I hate Tottenham and Scumpool the most. followed by Leeds,Newcastle and Arsenal then Man U, West Ham and Q.P.R always been that way. there`s always been a certain level of hate towards us for representing one of the most desirable places to live in England.. they don`t see how diverse the Chelsea fans have always been. they have just seen the famous people in our posh seats. now it`s more jealousy for our on field success...when we were a yo-yo club who could be counted on to pull off an away win at Old Trafford that we would do seemingly at will..to help other teams win the league. how they jumped around their living rooms. in the days of hooliganism..alot of teams fans originally thought that us supposedly being rich, upper class kids, would be soft and them seemingly having more working class thugs ,expected to roll us over. with Scumpool they believe they have some devine right to win the league and major domestic trophies..when Man U don`t win a trophy they see themselves as the riteful winners..we really fucked them up by getting in their way..they hated Arsenal in the late 80`s,90`s and up until 2005..now they hate us. -
the Manchester clubs didn`t seem to have so much trouble signing Everton players than we are having when they signed Rooney,Rodwell,Lanky Afro freak etc... even when they took Moyes...I didn`t follow those deals closely but just seemed like they were resolved quicker. it`s like they are 5 dollar whores when they come calling but pretend to be high class hookers when we are in town.

we will certainly need to have some cup luck/backs to the wall moments to conquer to win the European Cup this season. we aren`t the most talented team in Europe but the most talented teams don`t always win it and the same applies for all Cup tournaments. being League Champions of England is always my number 1 priority tho...a League championship is always earned and won by the best team in it. we have our work cut out to be that this year but I think over the course of a season I`d still put us as favourites marginally. our depth is currently a little worrying in certain positions.
