  1. I don`t look at loans with any thought of how they will develop for us anymore, been a long time since...I just see the loan outs as putting our youth in the shop window to sell eventually however good they do. Courtois won the title in Spain..that seems to be what a player has to do to stay here..win a major league title in Spain or Germany..we have loaned out players who have won trophies elsewhere but then not get a sniff..i honestly believe if Courtois had been loaned to Seville or Valencia he would not have made his way into our 1st team squad.regardless of how good he did. even those few who currently look like getting a squad place going into this season I expect to be in that same shop window either January or at the end of the season. the signings I would go for would be veterans who could help us for a few years whilst our youth are being rotated in but we still sign those early 20`s young players.whom we usually sign after impressing for a year or two ..we happily fork out 40m for them but when young players on our books do that on loan..we either sell them or loan out again and again. it`s fucked up..the fastest route to the first team at Chelsea for a youngster here is to be sold to another club then in a year or two we will want them back and try to re-sign them.instead of just giving them a genuine chance. there is minutes for young players with us..we are 3-0 up 30 minutes to go,we don`t need to be bringing on the Pedro`s,Willian`s for Hazard. Azpi didn`t need to play every fookin` minute of last season in the league.. we needed to strengthen..we made the signings that would have strengthened us for an attack on all fronts if we didn`t sell or loan out so much..1 step forward,2 steps back..
  2. if a manager/coach wants a player then I`d rely on him believing he knows what he wants rather than what anybody else says regarding if we need him or not.. when we see players at other clubs playing in a certain way we believe that is all they are..not looking at what they have to play with and what their coach wants out of them, what they can become,. it`s the main reason I`m not a big fan of loaning players out,in some cases not even once let alone the blanket bombing approach we have implemented in modern times. we won the league last season, with a large part of it being from big contributions by players in positions and roles very few if any on here or anywhere believed they would be able to do.. it`s not the NFL where the vast majority of players and coaches are products of the system they play in. the vast majority of this kind of football can play in various positions and roles within a team they can be reshaped a lot more easier.positions are more simpler to learn.
  3. he`s French fried like Drogba was.
  4. it`s not that he`s a terrible player..he`s basically John Bumstead,a solid but unspectacular pro with a somewhat funny name..he can come in and do a job for us in lesser games when regular starters can be rested, but we already had players capable of that role we either sold for less or loaned out. it`s like we sold or loaned out these players then remembered the homegrown quota after it so are now scrambling for some. atleast him and Kante have some understanding..i supported the club when we had Mick Droy,"Sharon" Wood etc..and always hope for the best from whoever we sign..atleast it`s not like he is gonna be expected to drag along a load of rejects to try and fend off relegation..he`ll be surrounded by good to great players and if he don`t get the job done somebody else will. and well..Moses came from lower down in football fans respect to then play his part in a championship winning side.
  5. is he even allowed to travel into the country now?
  6. that`ll teach her for texting or getting a "selfie" done. he didn`t do one of his thunder kicks..if she was paying attention to the game it wouldn`t have happened
  7. I wouldn`t be shocked in the slightest if he indeed did go back to Barcelona now.
  8. I`m glad we signed him but I don`t like the fact we are relying so heavily on him getting then staying healthy/uninjured and adjusting to the new to him league and performing at a high level week in week out. is like we playing less games this season not much more.
  9. the perfect solution would be not trying to smash our own loan out per season world record every summer. there`s plenty of players we loan out every season who we would be happy to pay 20m for if they weren`t already on our books..better to develop at different clubs under different managers in different formations tho..
  10. we should concern ourselves on what our club wants/needs not the welfare of players who haven`t joined us yet really. but very few players are guaranteed to be regular starters at the biggest clubs.plenty still join them willing to put up a fight for a place in the starting 11 as much as often at a club that challenges on all fronts instead of staying at clubs who at best can offer with realistic ambition a runners up medal in a domestic cup. there is going to a lot more rotation this season than last and for future seasons aswell. it`s a toss up who would play the fewest games Barkley or Costa if they stayed at their current clubs so I`d say no he won`t play more there..:)
  11. Bags of skill, untapped potential,English (every team should have players from the country the club plays in regardless of HG quota but it helps that too) he hasn`t been a Kante/Ramires grass covering machine. but he will cover more grass than Fabregas and he obviously has become disheartened with being at a club where finishing 7th is classed as a good season. Conte likes players to "put in a shift" but he`s not Jose kind of maniac about that. he can be shaped into what we want and when Cesc is not playing atleast have some creativity from CM/AM..not yet a passer on Cesc`s level, may never be but can still offer a lot creatively and score himself.
  12. the money i spend on Chelsea every season, especially when we in Europe.as we have been back in Europe most years since 1994..could say i paid for the Quaresma loan. i don`t have personal savings..i have a wife besides Chelsea..
  13. i would have kept him but if i had to loan him out,a premiership club would be his next step..i can`t imagine this is a move that will help him get ready for our first team squad other than being toughened for cold night games from November to March.
  14. give us 2 good years or more and help us win some silverwear and it`s money well spent.not bothered by the age..Italians have a longer shelf life than most (when it comes to football anyway..their women not so much..:))..we signed Zola when he was 30 and we had 7 good years out of him.. you don`t get much in this current market for 20m..he is somewhat of a bargain really..
  15. playing more minutes I don`t think is what every single player has at the top of their list.for some that may be the case like for those who have won everything in the game at club level like JT and for some young players who get frustrated and believe their development is at risk so they want to join a smaller club to get more minutes but then will want another bite at the cherry with a big club later. look at it this way though, whose got the best chance of playing in major cup finals and winning league titles. somebody on the bench at a big club or somebody starting most weeks for Bournemouth or Watford? I`d say it`s more likely the starter ahead of them gets injured, suspended or loses form than those kind of clubs getting into those situations.
  16. he aint a bad player..reminds me of John Bumstead.sort of player that is the glue for the glitter. but yeah, only really at cut price deal should we be considering him..if it was January and his contract was about to expire in the summer so we get him on the cheap. but not now. we do need more English but there`s other options.
  17. I think he may just be playing some on the wing to work on his fitness.more running involved. Conte thinks outside of the box. it`s pre-season. a merchandise tour and prepare for the games that matter. as for the talk about difference in English top flight compared to Spanish and German..we do play too many games and it is more physically demanding because virtually every game atleast starts as a contest. where as the Spanish and German league has become glorified training sessions for the CL for the biggest clubs.Barcelona, the two madrids and Bayern.aswell as scouting sessions in particular in the case of Bayern. they can just stroll around the park most games..about 10 minutes of putting their foot on the gas and the game is over as a contest.
  18. Zola was 30 when he arrived. aswell as quite a few who have contributed greatly to our proud history. we have plenty of youth we farm out on loan every year.
  19. time to move on to other targets .gotta take no for an answer with this..we are already just about entering the "panic buy time" with the season fast approaching..i`m happy with Alonso as the main starter anyway.(I`m not gonna bother comparing him to Sandro when it`s clear he`s not gonna be coming now) I don`t think Bertrand would want to come either,as he shouldn`t be the nailed in starter here. we would be better served either having a young deputy we can groom to take over in a few years or a veteran who can step in when required. RWB for me is the wingback position in bigger need of an upgrade. I liked the rumour we were interested in Cedric Soares.
  20. feels like we putting our season on a currently injured, never played in the premier league, new signing to hit the ground running. I would have preferred atleast competition for that spot for him in Matic. who I`d class as a good option in "horses for courses" situations. he will need to be replaced and this transfer window you gotta pay 20-30 mill for a career back up.
  21. i`m chuffed we got him..best all round striker available at start of transfer window imo..and his name rolls off the tongue for songs much better than the Dortmund dude that i was gonna just call PEA. Hope Jose is wrong about Lukaku a 2nd time...i certainly think we got the best fit for us in Morata tho.
  22. only Man City could blow around 90million on two defenders that can`t really defend.yet they seem to do it most summers.
  23. in certain games he added something we will be missing now but i expect Morata to have more good games over the course of a season and at minimum equal his goal tally with minus the drama..Morata is similar in some ways than him as a complete CF.
  24. i think sometimes we could play with 2 up front,(but even with just 1 upfront we do need 3 in the squad, cover for injuries and loss of form)...in the way we used to with Jimmy Floyd and Eidur..Kruse would be an Eidur..i haven`t seen too much of him but he seems quite "industrious".and some positional flexibility.LW/CF,SS.and has a decent left peg..i know there are a few with that surname tho so might be thinking of the wrong one.
