  1. What is it Im missing? Terry is past it, the club doesn't think he is at the standard to continue at Chelsea anymore. These type of decisions are made all the time in sports, business, and all walk of life. the club seriously need to move on from bunch of players. hopefully this dreadful season serves that, the most positive thing that could happen.
  2. People see what they want to see.
  3. I have been away for a few weeks, but not sure it has been discussed but we need better distribution from the back four. Especially CBs that are conferable on the ball. Watford and United showed, pressure the back four you are going disturb the flow of the team. I hope we address this need in the transfer window.
  4. Am I missing something "one of us" means he is one of the supporters right? Cech, Lampard, and Mourinho are club legends and they will never be forgotten for their contribution. But they are not "one of us" they are not supporters of the club. A supporter of the club would never support a rival club. You, me, or anyone else on this forum would never support a rival club. How can someone claim he is one of the supporters if he is managing a rival club. As I said nothing against Mourinho, Cech, or Lampard. In fact Lamps is my all time fav player.
  5. By far one of Mourinho best expirament, weird that he never played Kenedy again after a great LB starting debut.I wonder how willing Kenedy is to make the switch permanently? I do feel wing back position gives him the best opportunity to reach his fullest potential though. David Alba played in midfield before Jupp switched him to LB. Hope Kenedy also embraces the role the same way.
  6. Sampaoli is my favorite manager in world football, I seriously can't express how happy I would be if he manages Chelsea. I have dropped his name many times, but merely as a fantasy choice.
  7. I don't remember that, but if you say so. Edit: Not sure what that adds to the discussion, how does that prove that Mourinho had no interest in the United job?
  8. Who knows if it is the truth. Fergy in the book is justifying one of his biggest blunders, his appointment of Moyes. His defense is quite pitiful by saying no one else was available, red nose horribly defends his choice. He is not going to say Mourinho was available and i picked Moyes. He is attempting to escape criticism over Moyes hiring.
  9. Don't play stupid mate, you know where is coming from. He is not taking any managerial job he is taking the job at United. Fair play to him he has the right to seek any employment opportunity that fits him. But it does demystify that he was "one of us." He is just another mercenary manager, and he always was.
  10. The next manager will have his own ideas and preferences, so some players he will not fit into what he wants. My feeling is Hiddink is here to bridge the gap between Mou and the next manager. He is starting the rebuilding process, and moving away from this team that Mou built. It is not about the quality of the team. Mata was a great Chelsea player, but Mou had no use for him. Same situation will happen with the next manager.
  11. Actually he is signaling a change from Mourinho, he is saying the club needs to go in another direction from what Mourinho has built.
  12. LOL she can't come back after suing the club, how is that even possible?
  13. I just want to see the end of Azpi as a LB, if this is only change Guus makes i will be very happy.
  14. Have always said Oscar biggest strength is his movement, he moves exceptionally well off the ball and pops everywhere to build attack. Under Mou he became so robotic. It was Sunderland no doubt, but we have played so many poor teams but never looked this fluid.
  15. I wouldn't want to lose Hazard obviously, but there is nothing we could do if he wants to leave. Chelsea policy is that they will sell a player if he wants to leave and the price is right. We have never held a player against his will, we are not going to pull a Spurs or Pool anytime soon. I share Chelsea belief, if Hazard wants to leave, good luck to him and thanks for the years, lets move on make the best out of the situation. Another player we could lose is Courtois, he is highly rated by Madrid. I think Madrid is done pursuing De Gea, don't think Perez wants to deal with Woodward again. But with or without them we will be fine. Hopefully with.
  16. We have to be honest with ourselves, challenging for the title next season is not a reality at the present moment, unless Guus works his miracle and get us back in the top 4 this season. You can't have this type of season, and think we will realistically challenge for the title next season. Mou has set this club back a few years, and it will take a few years to get back to where we were. Look at United they are still trying to recover from Moyes fuck up, so will we for the next few years thanks to Mou Mouyes. Also realize that we are in risk of losing our best players, its going to be difficult keeping our good players if other clubs come after them. Secondly without CL football we have to settle for 2nd tier players, we aren't likely signing impact players. It is going to be a process, next season get back to top 4 then go from there.
  17. Ok maybe not stupid But it is a very scarce way of looking at things; that you need those top managers. RDM won the CL and FA, in less then 4 months on the job. Carlo and Mou couldn't win us the CL with many years on the job, but they are better managers with better careers. I just believe that situation and fit should dictate your manager hiring not based on who has the best CV. If we take this approach we will be very successful. Barca was one example, i can name many examples of successful managers in successful situations. Honestly give me Jorge Sampaoli, and witness some of the best football Chelsea has ever played.
  18. Seriously what a stupid notion that we have to hire Guardiola or Simeone to be successful. Geez who won the treble last season? Luis Enrique. Who was also a game away from a treble? Super Max Allergi. Who was the manager who won a treble with Bayern? not Guardiola, but it was Jump Heynckes. We can and we will be successful without the Guardiola, Simeone, or Mourinho's of the world.
  19. Looking forward to Dortmund wining the Bundesliga again.
  20. I feel no sympathy for any manager who loses the support of his players. That is on the manager. I feel that way about any leadership position in all walk of life. That is on you, not your subordinates.
  21. Fantastic Top 4 is virtually guarantied, for us, CP, or Spurs. Make it happen Woodward
  22. First thing let's remember this is Sunderland. But you can see the difference in attitude, not because they didn't want to play for Mourinho. The attitude now is let's win this game and attack, under Mou the attitude was let's not lose or mess up. Completely different, brings a different level of confidence.
  23. I am sorry I give no credit to dinosaurs like Allardyce, he is a horrible manager. I don't believe in resurrection of dinosaurs but managers like Allardyce has proven me wrong, they keep getting managerial jobs after being sacked again and again and again. Btw Allardyce is quite charismatic and likable imo, so him being fat can't be an issue.
