  1. I thought we would take a few steps backward, but I have never seen a collapse like this, this is truly historic. I have never seen anything like this really, it is amazing to think this exact team breezed to the title now we genuinely look like a regulation side. Seriously amazing foresight and analysis to anyone who predicted this.
  2. man i would love to see Jorge Sampaoli at Chelsea.
  3. The year they finished 2nd they were firing on all cylinder attacking wise. Not only he got the best out of Suarez, so did he out of An aging Gerard and got the best out of Sturridge, Sterling, and Coutinho. He made that team click. That is a mark of a good manager, getting the best out of your players is all you can ask for. His biggest issue were the following: 1. Losing his best players. Suarez aside, but Sturridge has constantly been injured in the last two season. That is a lot of goals and quality to lose. Also Gerrard declined massively due to age. Imo I rank those 3 as Liverpool best players when they finished 2. I think it is immensely flawed when people look at that team, as only minus Suarez. 2. Poor transfers. Whether it was him or the clubs guru mathematicians, they failed in reinforcing their squad. They have signed a lot of mediocre players. 3. They conceded a lot of goals, that is on him and only. Ultimately he is not a bad manager, and gave Liverpool their best chance at winning the title in almost 30 years.
  4. All though His singing of Torres Set the club back a lot.
  5. Mourinho is really writing the book on how not to react in crisis situation. pouring oil on the fire consistently.
  6. Seriously what does Maureen mean? I have asked this question before, btw I know a girl with the same name.
  7. Btw why are we taking such statements as truths?Ridiculous to take such statements at fair value, that is like taking the words of your ex as truths after a bitter break up. I don't know KDB but I do know others, almost everyone tries to rationalize their own shortcomings or failures. So why would it be surprising for KDB to pin his failures at Chelsea on Mourinho? Same goes for Mourinho how do you think he is rationalizing things? Probably the same faulting KDB. This debate is not one sided as much as most want to make it. KDB is doing hot, and Mou is doing the polar oposite. So it is easy to say Mourinho fucked up, and give every benefit of the doubt to KDB. If their circumstances were reversed, I am sure almost everyone would be hailing Mou decision. Sure Mou had his fair share of fault in this situation but so did KDB, he didn't help himself With his performances in limited playing time and personality. Sure it would be nice to have KDB atm, but I really do not have the capacity to dwell on the what ifs and live In the past.
  8. @Essien19, You have to realize before Mourinho came back we were in the beginning of an end of a transition phase. I don't think it is fair to compare the team success before Mou and after, I don't think it is that easy of an analysis. We had an aging squad and phasing out period; remember Anelka, Malouda, Essien, Kalou(other reasons),Torres(flop), Cole, Drogba, Lampard, and Terry the old guards? We kept a core of players that was untouched minus Torres, they all aged past their best together. It was undoubtedly an end of a cycle. A drop off was unavoidable, and a complete transition does not happen over night or in this case one summer. You only realistically have 3-4 changeover at most, complete overhaul does not happen.Any manager would have seen a need for a striker and midfield reinforcementts, . Heck you could argue if RDM or Rafa stayed as manager that would have been periority, and those needs would have been addressed a summer earlier. So I can't look at this black and white before Mou after Mou like all things were equal. A natural circumstance and growing pain was unavoidable and that was price to pay when we also bought young players rather then world class players to replace them.
  9. You think Mou will survive until end of the season?
  10. Chelsea+English fans are different from Real and Spain supporters though. English fans have soft spot for hard working players like Ramires, while Spanish fans have a soft spot for graceful players. Bale is neither which makes it worse lol. For a player that played LB he is dreadful in defending and tracking back.Just like Madrid supporters couldn't tolerate Mourinho conservative/ park the bus tactics against better opposition, Chelsea fans do not care and accept such tactics. There is a difference in culture. As I said Bale starting on a regular basis frustrated Madrid fans more then his form. I don't think Madrid frustration level would have reached that high with Bale if Carlo had benched him for Isco a fan fave.
  11. Bale is a donkey though, he literally kills every attack at Madrid. There is one thing to be off form, but it is another to be off form and can't do the simplest thing in football, he can't routinely make simple passes or touches.Carlo stubbornness didn't help either by starting him like Mou has done with Ivanovic.
  12. Why are you guys making the assumption Reus or Isco would want to join Chelsea? I am honestly wondering why everyone always overlook the player preference in these situations. I asked in the summer on the Pogba thread, while everyone was focused on Juve no wanting to sell. But equally valid perspective was Pogba destination preference, you have to ask if the player would want to join Chelsea rigid system under Mourinho. Does a player want to join a club where the manager on numerous occasion has criticized his team best attacking player on his defending. I personally cannot fathom Isco or Reus would want to join Chelsea and become a second full back. Until Mourinho is in charge we will have a hard time attracting top players like Isco or Reus.
  13. Hazard does fine defending, how many goals have we conceded from his side? Pls Sanchez has two lungs he is like Willian in terms of work rate, he will never be like him in that sense. People should appreciate our players for what they bring, there is a lot to like about Hazard for example. And stop making unrealistic comparison to other players.
  14. Not PR skill, failure of social intelligence.
  15. You never hear anything smart coming out a Belgium player. So can't say I am surprised or anyone should be. Btw beside the fact it is disrespectful to your current employer, his rationale is quite stupid and not very well thought out. Better players doesn't not not mean tougher to break into, especially players that don't player your position. Ineista and Rakitic are good but not world class. Ineista is living off reputation at this stage of his career. If he actually think Chelsea is a good intermediate route to Barca, Madrid, and Bayern he is well mistaken and not very bright. Bayern and Barca have had a lot of success in integrating players to their senior squad and give young players a lot more chances, while Chelsea are the polar opposite. it is much more difficult breaking into Chelsea. Another argument is Barca B and Bayern B play in a much tougher competition, compared to England poor youth setup. He is going the wrong way about it.
  16. I do not believe in a campaign against Chelsea, but you think there is no bias? You believe this when there is so much corruption in the game of football, when Top officials like Blatter and Platini should be in jail? You think corruption stops there? You think top FA officials like David Gill have no agenda? You think he is impartial and has no loyalty to Manchester United and will not sway organization to his liking? And others have no Agenda or bias, you think these mens have the best intention of the game in mind? Please Perish such thoughts.
  17. Saying something and actually doing it is two different things. Everyone will say the right thing but following up with actions is entirely different. I am certainly not missing Lukaku and KDB, it is what it is they are past players. Don't see how people have so much energy for these threads.
  18. Jorge Mendes Anyone really think we were in for him? You guys realize how cheap we have become, think of all the recent transfers that we have failed to get done because of money(Stones) or seriously delayed(Baba) due to it.Martial would have been a very expensive luxury signing for Mourinho, He wouldn't prioritize his signing over the ones he needed. Now from Jorge Mendes perspective you think he would pass up on a higher commission from Chelsea? Because his client didn't want the move? Clients be dammed, we are talking about the respectable but the very shady Jorge Mendes. He wouldn't take a no for an answer, he would have the poor kid on the first flight to London. If you believe Mendes would do right by his client let me stop you right there. How else can you explain to me how he convinced Mourinho to take on that deadbeat striker Falcao? These reports are honestly insulting and only fools would believe these reports.
  19. Well when you challenge the FA to punish you.-"if they want to punish me it is no problem" and when you also admit to punishable offense-" I am probably going to be punished for this" Not sure how anyone expected a different outcome.
  20. Porto is a good side though, I can't recall the last time they lost a match at home in European competition, especially against English team. Newcastle at home is different team, and Southampton are a decent side. These teams we should win if we were a decent side. But not winning against Villa at home? Villa is garbage and I don't expect a brave approach from them and that will play into our hands. Newcastle were very brave and took the game against us until they went 2 up, they slipped because they parked the bus after that. Southampton were also very attacking and exposed our defense. if we don't win this I think we will have trouble staying up lol under Mou.
  21. I honestly can not think of a easier opposition then Villa at home. If we don't win this I might have to rethink how bad we are.
  22. Yaya is quality, but he is also City achilles heel. He represents why they struggle in Europe. Teams that take the game to city will find that Yaya is huge liability defensively, and cannot influence a midfield against quality midfield opposition. PL is different story since barely any team has the quality to play proactive against them, and the quality of midfield is not there. Or is controlling the midfield in the game plan of most managers in the PL.
  23. That may be a better job then his Dortmund spell. It is not easy to turn a mid table club culture around and make them champions. Also very tough since unlike Bundesliga, EPL has the same teams at the top every year. He has to overthrow the likes of Arsenal, City, Chelsea, and United. In the Bundesliga only powerhouse was Bayern consistently, others fluctuate on a regular basis. So there was a clear opportunity for Dortmund to rise to power. Also he worked with smart football guys like Watzke and Zorc, I give Watzke a lot of credit for Dortmund success. Going to be tough for Klopp working with FSG and those mathematicians lol. They actually think a baseball formula for scouting could translate over to football. Baseball is the heaviest stat sport in the world, while Football is the opposite.
  24. It is a "campaign" against Mourinho.
  25. I think City are going to win the league, by far the fav. You think they would fire the Chilian? We would stick with Mou also?
