Personally I am a much bigger fan of Jorginho then Hamsik, I believe he would a huge hit at Chelsea.
-
Huge fan of him, I remember being linked with him when he was at ASSE during the time Sturridge was on the verge of joining Liverpool. I thought he would have been an excellent signing, despite that he has exceeded my expectations.

The goals Costa scored were absolute quality, most of them came off difficult finishing. No idea how you draw the conclusion that Costa scored because of the amount of service he got. Lukaku scored a lot more tap ins and with little ease. He scored some good goals but you are clearly misteaken with your assessment. Look Chelsea are going to play in tight spaces and against stacked defenses. What you consider solo goals are mainly open spaces against a defender or two, those are not the opportunities Chelsea get with ease. Instead you have to be patient and link up in order to break down defenses.

Weak correlation. You are comparing a great technical player like Luiz to a striker whose biggest weakness is technical ability. I bet there is much stronger correlation between those wanted to sign Torres and those who wants to sign Lukaku.
-
Here is all 26 goals he scored for Everton this season. Now compare that to the quality of goals Costa scored.
-
That is correct if we are assuming 3-5-2 is the alternative.
-
His agent already dismissed this rumor. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/816981/Lorenzo-Insigne-Agent-Napoli-Chelsea-Transfer-News-Gossip

Ancelotti wanted Tolisso very badly from what i hear, i think he will be a huge hit for Bayern. It is also quite clear that Bakayoko was preferred by Chelsea. Interesting to see who made the better decision in a couple of years Conte or Ancelotti.
-
Think the only way you can convince Matic and Cesc to stay is if you play 3 man midfield regularly. That should ensure Matic, Kante, Bakayoko, and Cesc plenty of playing time.
-
That is not true, the best in the world can do both. Real- They have Kroos and Modric Juventus- Pjanic Bayern- Thiago, Alonso(now retired) Barca- Ineista who has declined tbh, this is why they are desperate to sign Verratti. Also how freaking ridiculous is it that whenever someone mentions that we need more creativity and intelligence in midfield, you get the typical stupid replay "we will never be like Barcelona or play possession based football." creative midfielders are not exclusive to Barcelona. At Juventus Conte had Pirlo, Dortmund had Gundogan/Sahin, Alti had Gabi andKoke who drifted to CM from LM. Those are the list of the teams who were wildly known for their ability on the counter, see not exclusive to Barcelona. This logical fallacy reminds me a noob going to the gym and saying he doesn't want to lift weights because he doesn't want to be bulky like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Completely insane.

Did Bayern also sign Goretzka or plan to?
-
Although you have to take account of the Costa situation, publicly Costa has announced he is not wanted at Chelsea and a replacement is necessarily. This benefits Everton, they know that signing Lukaku is a must for Chelsea. I feel this will play out very long, and i do not see Chelsea paying over the odds immediately. Everton will hold out as long as they can to get the most money.

I don't think he was saying otherwise buddy. All he was trying to point out is that Lukaku did not act very loyal or acted in a way that showed more loyalty. What did Lukaku showed at Chelsea that reinforced he was not like any other player but he was a more then that and he was a fan? Nothing beside proclaiming he was. He is no worse or better then Cuardado in that regard. I do not criticize either player, both made a good decision. But neither player was loyal. The Chelsea fan argument is weak.

Not exactly sure how accurate all this is, but there are significant rumblings that Andre Silva is on his way to Milan. If true we can cross Milan off as possible destination for Diego Costa. As for Andre Silva, incredible signing for Milan.

Benzema has a great chemistry with Ronaldo on the pitch, although Benzema had struggled individually, the team was still successful with him leading upfront. It was a successful formula, too risky to tinker with it. And ultimately it showed to be the right decision.

It simply shows how extraordinary the standards are at Madrid, rather it says about Morata not being good. Isco is fighting for playing time and when Bale is healthy he is on the bench, and if he was in the PL he would compete with Hazard and Sanchez for the best in the league. So would Asensio and James. A sub at Madrid is up there with the best in the world if they were getting regular playing time. Morata might not be good enough for the best club in the world, but he will definitely be competing as the best striker in the PL and make United much better. They are selling him for 70m that is not letting him go easy. They are targeting Kylian Mbappe to replace him btw, the best attacking prospect since Neymar. Unreal how they are 1-2 steps ahead of everyone else.
-
You simply cannot be one dimensional, you cannot believe you can just be an efficient counter attacking team and that is all you need. Which top team exactly is that? Great teams are deadly on the counter and also have the players that can string neat passes and break you down.

I get a kick out of this. You are accusing others of moaning, and here you are doing the actual moaning instead of staying on topic. Sharing your thoughts on a potential signing is the aim of this subsection, if it wasn't then we might as all log off and shut down the forum. I do not understand the constant thought policing some of you do. Some of us do not rate Bakayoko highly, and we disagree. It is not that big of a deal, either attack the actual argument or move on. Also no one here is a professional scout, we get that. If they are the only ones allowed to post, then again we might as well shut down the forum. Such ad hominem attacks shows lack of intelligence. Also do not think anyone said Bakayoko is shit, just not Chelsea level or not the type of player we need.
-
Not Costa biggest fan, i do agree he is getting incredibly underrated. Abilities aside, from a personality standpoint he is also a big loss, gritty and feisty player that has enormous impact on his teammates. Players around him feed off that energy, and pivotal to a winning side. Part of Atletico historic success, and our side that won 2 PL in 3 years. From a personality standpoint, going from Costa to Lukaku. Is like going from a lion to a pussy cat. Massive downgrade.
-
Lukaku plays for a non top 4 team, so Lukaku plays more games against top 4 teams. Extra 2 games every season in a small sample size can make a huge difference. This is a really deceitful way to use statistics. Shame
-
Morata works great for his teammates, he makes others around him better, With his link ups and movements to create space for others. He will not top Lukaku as a goal scorer. But his benefits to the team outweighs that. On the other hand the whole team works for Lukaku to score. Teams play Chelsea much tighter and more defensive then Everton. So there is more advantage to playing for Everton then some of you would like to admit. Morata is the type of player I want, also for the first time since Eto'o was here Hazard would finally have a competent striker to link up with. Surrounding your best player with a player that would compliment him should be strongly considered. It would be a great shame for Hazard to spend his entire Chelsea career to go from linking up with Torres, Costa, and now Possibly Lukaku.
-
Morata is going to Milan? Seems like he definitely said he will not play in Italy next season, heavily linked United. I get your and others preference for Lukaku, but this is not a good argument against Morata. it appears Morata and Lukaku are getting similar interests.
-
No, Morata also wanted to go back to Madrid.
