Exactly, if the team don't want fans to complain then DON'T GIVE US A REASON TO. Why do we only start playing after 60 mins is beyond me.

Best player in this horrible preseason so far. Shows how much you can do even if you don't have the ability the others do, but you got hard work to make up for it. Hope he carries this on and save his career here.

Got a scary feeling next season gonna be like 2006-07, we will come close in many competitions again but ultimately fall short of winning major titles.
-
Costa gonna nut Aurier before the end of this match
-
Consistent doesn't mean playing well every single game and that is what he suggested. Stop with the childish response.
-
Think next season in big games our tactic will get found out because we do the same thing over and over again. It is like tiki taka, eventually teams will counter it.
-
PSG should be 4 up by now, while all we got to show is Costa hitting the post from a tie angle.
-
Looking forward to 10 years of stability with Jose though
-
But Hazard is bossing it though, right?
-
Instruction for attack: Go out there and express youself while 95% of every training session is about defending
-
Think we are gonna try to attack now and will get caught on the break, gonna concede a couple more I think
-
Not sure, Willian is yet to play and as good as Moses has been so far he is still not as good as Willian yet.
-
Terrible game, could actually see this ends 0-0
-
That is what happens when you get rekt by a Championship quality under 18 team
-
And here it comes... the defender in full force. So Hazard plays well every single game?
-
Let's settle for a couple conceded only, no need to be too greedy it can only improve after conceding 4 goals in less than 45 mins into your debut
-
We got dominated by 10 men PSG
-
Still not as good as Hazard though...apparently.
-
We will never ever play 2 strikers from the start unless we were chasing a CL miracle (down 3-0 from the 1st leg) or we go on a 10 games winless run and he is forced to change the team. He has been using 1 striker formation all his career, he is not gonna change it and in the past there have been far better strikers competing with each other like Benzema and Higuain and they never played together. If Falcao scores a lot and Costa also score then that is good for us, might even make us consider signing Falcao permanently next summer but as long as Costa is here and get on well with Mourinho he will start automatically.
-
erm not really considering all our defenders cost less than £10m each apart from Zouma.

Thinking about our youth, have any of our youngsters made a name for themselves in the last decade? Kakuta-flop, Josh-overrated and being found out, Mancience(spelling) don't even know where he is now, Clyne(good enough for Liverpool but not us), Sinclair-journeyman, and others but off the top of my head these are the few of those 'hot' players that everyone thought will be the backbone of our side. Kalas, Christensen and maybe even RLC will head this way unless they prove themselves this season at Chelsea or elsewhere. I mean even Courtois had to be named best La Liga GK for 3 years in a role to even comeback here, what make you think our young players are good enough to be starting for the top 5 club in the world? Let's see if Bamford does a Kane or Sanogo for Palace this season, if it is the latter his chance here is over before it ever really begins and another one of the hopeful youngster gone. It is really annoying this obsession with playing academy players, all it does is give yourself an ego boost and show off to other teams. I mean do you really care if our main striker is Bamford or some African striker? As long as they bang in 20 goals I couldn't careless.
-
Well let's find out when we play a few of them as we will be forced to pretty soon when a few of the 1st team are injured and we have no quality backup by 1st of Sep.

The thing about youth is unless we happens to have the most talented bunch of young players in history, we will struggle to challenge for top titles every season. Look at Barcelona, while being praised as having the best academy in the world, they still make a few top class signing every summer to improve the team and just did again with Turan and maybe soon Pogba. We are talking about a team that just won the treble with ease. Look at Bayern, full of homegrown players but they also know you still have to compete for the best players around to CHALLENGE. Once they tried to rely entirely on their youth a few seasons ago they ended up finishing like 3rd in Bundesliga and since then every summer they also make a couple of big additions that improves their 11, this summer it is Vidal. Do you guys know why Arsene Wenger virtually abandoned playing youth in cup games now and actually looking to sign top class players? Because after a decade he realized that you cannot win anything with kids but the youth cup/league. Same with MU. Football is bigger than ever like @FulhamBroadway said, it isn't just a simple game of kicking the ball and trying to win title every season anymore, the business aspect is just as big as it is a huge global brand worth billions, hence the Sky deal proved. Everyone who is 'fine' with us trying to intergrate our kids into the team should also not complain when we finishes 3rd in the league and get knocked out in the last 16 again by PSG/Juve/big 3 because in those games we happen to have to start Mikel/Moses(not specific but likely example of what will happen when our 1st team players are injured) and not Witsel/Pedro. If we really want to use youth more often then don't mind a couple of transition seasons also where we win nothing aka 2013-14 again. Me and lot of others on here are not fine with that because we care about competing with the very best year in year out, not with the team sheet making up of 5 kids from the academy when we could sign 5 world class players for those positions.

Gotze is much better than Oscar for me, 2 years ago he was hailed as the best young player in the world and still is for me. Just because Pep doesn't use him as much in his 3 at the back system doesn't mean he is not good enough. In a Dortmund side that favors pressing and counter attacking he was their best player, only did he moved to Bayern and forced to adapt to Pep's possession style did he struggled. Even then he still have over 20 goals and assists for the past 2 seasons, Oscar meanwhile didn't even get past 10 goals despite being our main man for most of the season.

I know that is what I said, our 2012 team was a team full of great players(Cech, Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cole...etc) but they were not at the very best anymore and hence we were 'great' only thanks to the names of these legends, not in actual ability anymore. Maybe we both have a different interpretation of what a 'great' team is. For me great team is a team that dominate for at least a couple of years, for example Bayern 2012-now is a great team. Us 2004-2006, Barca 08-now and so on as you said yourself. Also it is very foolish to use 2012 as a benchmark, it is once in a life time achievement. Do you think we will get a run again where our GK save 2 pens against 2 of the best players in the world in the semi and final? Or a game where the opposition miss at least 5 clear goal scoring chances(1st leg against Barca)?
