We got lucky with them though Costa and Hazard were release clauses while Fabregas was wanted out by Barca. The reality is as we see this summer we try to play reasonable we are getting rejected by everyone (Isco,Turan...etc)
-
£49m hahahahhahahah most expensive English player ever at the age of 20. Basically he needs to produce half of Ronaldo's stats every season now to even justify it.
-
Yh I was just kidding but I think even if we are trophyless this season he won't be sacked because we just won the double. Maybe that is why he isn't bothered much about signing top class because he knows he is safe whatever happens so just relaxing and our current squad is more than good enough to challenge again.
-
Along with a change of manager at the end of the season? Unless you forgot to put us as CL winner
-
Obviously...if he was at his prime they wouldn't let him go, see Ribery.
-
He is slow and injury prone as hell, even in Bayern 2012-13 season he was out for quite a bit too and Kroos stepped up in his place. Tbh for some reason he spends on average at least a couple of months out every year for the last 5 years at least now. That is why even though he is available for 20m no one but MU is interested, after WC 2010 there was even rumors of Madrid bidding 40m for him. Still a quality player when fit though, can still assit and score great goals and his passing is still world class.
-
Pretty sure money played A BIG PART in him joining us, his agent got 6m fee and he was on 170k per week, City and MU eventually gave up. Your point 2 is also wrong, lol he just had the best season of his career and being named best player in Ligue 1 why on Earth wouldn't he want to work with the manager at Lille at the time which was Garcia I believe. We can go on all the fact about how he chose us because we won the CL but the truth is money played a much bigger role at the time.
-
Then I turn off Chelsea career mode because it is too boring
-
If Arsenal sign Benzema think we will have a serious struggle on our hand to retain the title, City signing either De Bruyne/Pogba with MU signing Ramos/Otamendi/Schneiderlin won't help too.
-
I will start: BPL: winner if it stays as it is atm, but if City sign Pogba/Kevin or basically any top player they will be favorite again, likewise with MU if they sign Otamendi, Schneiderlin or Ramos FA Cup: Possibly winner unless we get City in the last 16 again like last year Capital One: Semi final, I think Liverpool/MU/Arsenal will take it a lot more serious this year and we won't win it again CL: As it stands atm, semi final. However a miracle aka 2012 again+master class bus parking against Barcelona/Bayern/Real could see us triumph like Inter did in 2010 What do you guys think? where do you think we will finish?

Let the fun begins... http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2015/07/08/13395732/benedito-ardas-signing-is-a-huge-problem-for-barcelona?ICID=OP This is gonna be so funny if it actually happens, Barcelona do like to make it difficult for themselves with transfers don't they especially high profile signings.
-
We are doing an AC Milan, getting rejected by everyone we bid for now
-
Why the fuk is the club keep hunting younster while missing out/not looking at actual top players that can improve the 1st team. Also we seem to be the only one that takes FFP seriously by the look of it.
-
MU signed Depay and soon to be other big names(Ramos, Schneiderlin...etc as rumored) City is linked with Pogba, De Bruyne and Sterling We are apparently not linked/lost Turan to Barca, still struggling to sign a backup GK to Courtois despite agreeing a fee with Stoke for like a week now for Begovic, now keep signing unknown talented youngsters to farm and some players like this guy who shown he is an OK player at the WC and for Chile Arsenal signed Cech Liverpool signed a bunch of good players like Clynne, Milner and Firmino I am worried after the fantastic summer last season we are resting on our laurels and will be made to pay for it like Man City did last year
-
Its City signing Pogba for 100m euros
-
Now we have lost out on Turan is there even any top class option available for us to sign Pogba, Varane are just pipe dreams. Any realistic big names available?
-
Robert Green
-
Can go the Aguero/David Silva route or Robinho
-
Erm nope unless Iniesta enters a huge decline, he basically bossed every single big games they played this season.
-
LOL WHAT 34m + 7m so potentially 41m that is FUCKING INSANE. I thought it was around 25-30m as release clause keep being branded around? As good as he is it is not worth 41m potentially+ high wages. Also would be funny as fuck if Barcelona sell him back and we end our interest, he will be forced to stay.
-
Yh but then we won't get Pogba either as City or PSG will get him. In fact City is willing to pay 100m euros
-
Tbf he never shown much 'potential' anyway it was based off a couple of skill moves he did against some Russian teams in the CL I remember and the fact that he was a youngster playing for Chelsea that got us hyped at the time where our team were near the end with lots of 30s playersl. He has been living off that hype since like forever...and the proof is that he struggled to make an impact in a weak Middleborough team in Npower a couple of years ago
-
Shit looking back 70 goals in 90 games is insane and if not for Messi and Ronaldo you will be hailed as one of the best striker in the league history especially since its BBVA and not just some random pub league. Damn from that to this sorry guy who can't even run properly anymore
-
Not completely but lots of his best goals were scored thanks to his pace
-
Is this the least exciting 'big name' signing in our recent history? Can't remember the last time 95% of the people including myself have written off a player before he has kicked a ball for us. 2 years ago everyone here would accept even 60m for Falcao now we got him for a free but no one is excited anymore. Hope at least he gets a few goals like Drogba did before moving on next summer.
