  1. Erm you just mentioned a quote as if it is a fact and I just pointed out an example of where that is not true...
  2. But that wasn't the case for the guy in your avatar who was named 3rd best player in the world in 2009 or something
  3. That awkward moment which will most likely happen next season where the 1st 2 are out injured/suspended and the 3rd guy tries his best impression to be a more laughable Torres, for some scary reason I can see this happen at some point.
  4. Ah no you guys got me wrong I didn't question his ability, I think he is one of the top 10 GK in BPL, maybe even top 5 at the moment. However if we are still worried about FFP I just think spending around 1m rather than 8m on a backup that most likely won't play many games at all is better, but maybe if our budget allows it 8m is fine too.
  5. As good as he is bit of a pointless signing imo, might as well sign someone like Green. Courtois will play like 90% of all the games anyway.
  6. High quality bus parking will have to do it
  7. OK this is when you lost it...either you are trolling or you are genuine which I am worried whether you have ever watched Turan at all or just personal bias because you like Barcelona or something. This is like saying Neymar/Hazard/Suarez are better than Ronaldo
  8. Lets say he signs for Barcelona where will he actually play? The front 3 is one of the best in history as it stands so doubt anything will change unless one of them encounter an injury hit season or Suarez wants blood again. Maybe he will replace Xavi? But then again Biscuit, Rakitic and Iniesta are 3 definite starters as long as they are fit, unless they plan to replace Iniesta by Turan gradually since he is not a CDM and cannot replace Biscuit. Rakitic just had a fantastic season so no way they are looking to replace him. I think this sigining is really weird for them. Rotation only works if you sign the likes of Vidal, Adriano, Song...etc players who will be back up for the main players, but this guy is good enough to be starting and I doubt he would want to bench warm for them.
  9. Signed new contract and probably ends any transfer anytime soon due to no one being interested. Didn't he state he wants to leave a few weeks ago and Dortmund were desparate to offload him LOL. Moral of the story-Sometime try to walk before attempting to run, chance of him ever reaching 2012 again are low let alone being better in the future. It is funny how he is the only Dortmund player for the past few years who always commented about wanting to move on soon and ends up having to stay behind.
  10. Erm Turan mostly play on the wings for Atletico during the last 4 years just in case you didn't know...Also he is MUCH BETTER than Oscar currently, he is virtually undroppable in a top Atletico team compared with Oscar who is not good enough to be starting for us in the majority of the big games. Just because he is from Turkey and not English/German/Brazilian or whatever doesn't mean he isn't that good, he is imo top 10 players in Europe skill wise and someone who actually do them quite consistently compared with others like Hulk or whatever fancy wingers that do them once in 10 matches and keep being refered as 'skillful'.
  11. Only problem if he signs is that he isn't exactly that fast and only makes up for it with his incredible football cleverness and skill, also he is very competitive and works extremely hard. That and 28m for a soon to be 29 years old doesn't seem great values, more of a risk as whether he suceed or not we will never recoup anything close to 20m again if he moves on in the future, making it a big gamble. I would still be OK with the siging but won't be mad if we miss out either, not the end of the world.
  12. Is he gonna be directly involved in over 20 goals next season? Is he gonna be able to guarantee park the bus tactic late in certain games and big games work flowlessly? If the answer is no to both questions then he isn't worth 70/80/90m or whatever around there. Imo even with inflation this is the type of fee you pay for someone who guarantee at least 20 goals or combined with assists every season, Pogba while can score 5 long ranges maybe per season but that is not enough to justify it. Oscar+20m on the other hand is just about right imo, but Juve probably want at least triple that 20m
  13. Would be funny as fuck if he becomes one of Bayern's best player next season and Cuadrado continues his flop form for us. Will teach all of us a painful lesson of never judging a book by its cover I am sure everyone and even the club thought Cuadrado is the better player 6 months ago...
  14. Actually yh they would if he only had a year left on his contract as they had to after RVP demanded to leave in 2012 despite being the best striker in the world in the previous season. Also it is not like the club got other options if he wants to go there, if PSG comes in and offer £5m but Cech agrees to go there I know where the club would accept the offer from(not London).
  15. Hopefully this put some people doubt their high horses and banishes the thoughts such as 'we are Chelsea we don't sell players we don't want to a rival'...etc and faces the reality that sometime the players need to have their wishes respected too. Cech deserves to go wherever he wants purely out of respect for everything he has done for us, it is not like he demands out either but this is a guy who simply loves London life and wants to play every week at top level, you HAVE TO RESPECT THAT. People want every Chelsea player to be like a Gerrard and either stays for the rest of their career until the club PUSHES them out or leave on our term, it doesn't always work like that. Saying this I expect some idiots will boo Cech everytime we play Arsenal if he does move there...
  16. Nice at least we get one of our obligatory bus parking fixture out of the way 1st I expect 4 points by end of 2nd round.
  17. Got Veron sign written all over it, he will do well to get 10 goals like Eto'o did. I really think this is a shortsighted signing with the likes of Lacazette around atm. I was a big fan of him until last season.
  18. Walcott straight swap seems OK to me
  19. I think we still would have won it but just barely by a couple of points at best, usually if you only lose less than 3 games per season you will be champion.
  20. Shouldn't be a problem if he still got it he will score around 15 goals, he still got good top 6 quality players around him in Mikhytaryan, Bender...etc and they still play Europa League.
  21. Lol what? Reus poor in the CL final which he won the pen? the 1st game against Madrid was terrible because the whole team was, that is like saying Costa was terrible against Madrid because they lose 3-0 in Copa last season there even though he scored the winner against them before and in cup final 13. You can't always be great against the same opposition let alone Real Madrid, one of the top 3 teams in the world. He can't handle the pressure...wtf where do you pull these sort of ideas out of. Him not passing a driving test got nothing to do with unabling to handle pressure, if he did have that problem why did he still drive illegally anyway and not hire a driver. I agree he is now questionable in the future due to recent injuries problems but saying he has never been that great it absolutely ridiculous, don't present your opinions as fact.
  22. Only time will tell it is too early, I mean so far Schurrle hasn't been that good YET and doesn't look like a 20m player but then again so did Kevin last year. Also we got nothing to regret it is all Jose's decision but then again we won the league so doubt he got any regret
  23. He used to be good but now he is closer to a Chelsea 2011 Torres imo. If we sign him for anything more than a loan with him earning 100k max is ridiculous. At least the Cuadrado transfer made sense but this makes no sense at all. This got the potential to be one of our worst sigining ever if it comes off permanently. I thought he got over the injuries last summer but it seems it damaged him permanently like it did with Torres
  24. Agreed overall he is still an amazing player judging from the past 5 years. However we can see how quickly things change in football, maybe those ankle injuries did him harm in the long term more than we know now. Look at Gundogan, since 2013 he has never been the same and now on Bayern forums they are annoyed that they are being linked with him, even the Dortmund Director had to come out and encourage bids because no one want him anymore. Imo this next season will be the best to judge Reus as to whether he has fully recovered.
