Funny to say most people thought 30m for Shaw was overpriced but same or more for Stones isn't haha, why? Because he is a CB and not LB?
-
Mean while Vidal, one of the best mid in the world is going to Bayern for £28m approx. Different positions but the point still, no way John Stones is worth more than the best box to box mid in the world, despite being around a decade younger. CB should also be cheaper than attacking players and mid in general anyway
-
Either become their mini Drogba or black Lambert, hopefully the latter.(I am not racist)
-
Seeing things like this I wonder why the club is taking such a relax stance regarding transfers this summer. 35m euros for one of the best mid in the world? Fucking bargain. Bayern getting another Benatia again under the nose of everyone. We could have moved Fabregas to CAM permanently and we would have one of the best most perfect balanced team in Europe. Vidal alongside Matic... At least we should attempt to contact him and his agents(we obviously don't as rumors would fly out really fast)
-
This year he has missed: Home against Spurs Home against Liverpool Home and away against MU Away against Arsenal Home against Everton Home against Man City He needs to improve his fitness and the club need to help him get rid of that hamstring problem. Another season of missing this many big games won't be good for us, especially if we want to retain the title and have a real go at CL. He also didn't score a single goal in CL, that is not good enough also considering he started almost all of them. Remy and Falcao can help but we need our main man to be fit.
-
Isco or Reus or no one I would prefer.
-
Don't understand why everyone is drooling over this signing, he is gonna be shown up here on the right side where he virtually never played in his career before as he always played on the left. Getting double figures for the Barcelona side is nothing special if you are above average and especially having some of the best supporting players in history in their prime playing with you(Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and others) He might surprises us and turn out to be a Sanchez but I really doubt it, in fact he has regressed so much since 2011 that Barcelona didn't even care if his clause got down from 180m to 30m. The guy that scored in the CL final is long gone now, could see we getting a more clinical but slower Navas, ultimately a Remy of midfield and won't improve our 11 that much.

Agreed people think every football deal is extremely complicated rocket science stuff(most of it involves paper work...etc so I understand) but the simple truth is it is not if we want it to. For example Grizemann 40m release clause well documented, if we go and pay it tomorrow morning and call his agent, offering him £100k a week... BOOM we can have a new signing within the end of this week. Sometime it is a lot more complicated if there is 3rd party involvement and such but nowadays if we really want we can wrap up 90% of the deals big or small fairly quickly.
-
Isco is better than Mata, for once he does actually track back now. He bailed out Madrid a few times last season such as against Valencia...etc while Mata can hardly even start for MU for the majority of last season. Isco might not be 'world class' but he is VERY VERY GOOD, that 2nd level below world class if you define world class as Suarez, Neymar, Messi, Hazard, CR7...etc but then 95% of other players in the world are not world class.
-
In the same transfer window where Suarez signed for 75m? we bidded but Neymar didn't want to come to England as Pele told him not to, Modric we tried remember but that bald Levy dude wouldn't let us. Also Fabregas is just as good as Kroos if not better for me so I am glad we didn't get him. What you said got no correlation and seems like random thoughts being put together.
-
Isco is better than Oscar whether you like it or not and Turan is better than Oscar and Willian.
-
Shit this is actually serious I don't want him for 30m euros, might as well add 20m more and ask about Isco/Reus who are far superior players or just do 40m on Grizemann release clause. FFS and to think just a few million more we could have got Sanchez last summer which would have made our attacking front line just as good as Barcelona or Bayern or Real.
-
~If we lose Ramires because of this guy...lol Ramires is still the better player for me
-
I know he is good but not Villa level good, he is atm more similar to the Higuain type to me and just being a great poacher, but that is about it.
-
If you are judging by goals then Negredo/Higuain/Cavani is top 5 strikers in the world yet we all know the truth is none of them are even close. Also scoring for Barca isn't that difficult especially when you have some of their best supporting team mates in football history(Suarez,Messi,Rakitic,Iniesta...etc) who are always there to provide you for tap ins in the usual 4/5/6-1 wins.
-
Of course he can actually defend AND contribute offensively better so that is why he is a better player.
-
Yeah because Spain is not that good anymore now, I mean they got destroyed by the Netherlands who is really not that good themselves as seen by their form under Hiddink recently. I mean from the days of David Villa to now Morata leading the line lol. So you are saying Pedro is faster, have better defensive work rate, better stamina than Willian? That must be hard to judge considering he hardly plays for Barca and in the games that they ACTUALLY need to try to defend like against Real, Bayern he is nowhere near the team. Its ok though 15 goals every season with most coming from the 4/5/6-1 wins which Messi already got a brace by the end of half time means he is better than one of the starting winger for Brazil and Chelsea
-
Yeah but this is unlike us we usually do business early nowadays so they can settle for preseason in a couple of weeks. I know that is why I am frustated, assuming we have like 50-100m to spend we should be going out there for those couple of signings that will improve our 11 but we are apparently more interested in backups like Pedro.
-
Is this guy actually ever that good or is he just a body in a bus parking tactic late in certain games? I would be interested if someone can post usual statistic like average tackle per mins/games, heat maps...etc because I think his reputation as the go to guy is not deserved, most of the time he comes on we see games out because we are good defensively not because of him. £15m is a lot of money for a back up, especially if we can use it to sign that Chilean midfielder who is a better player imo as seen from WC and Copa this summer but neither are good enough to be playing regularly for us.
-
End product yh maybe but overall Willian is a much better player. Pedro of 10-11 was one of the best winger in the world, nowadays he is probably just a winger that is good enough for Sevilla aka Jesus Navas like and anyone can see these type of players are not good enough to be starting for us and improve our 11
-
So MU sign Bastian, Darmian and soon to be Schneiderlin with Otamendi City sign Sterling and soon maybe will sign De Bruyne/Pogba Arsenal sign Cech and might sign someone like Benzema/Cavani We are just sitting here getting our ass rejected by every high profile players we want to sign(Isco, Pogba, Turan) or not linked with anyone big at all. Having to settle for some unknown Chilean and Pedro a discard winger from Barca. I am genuinely worried, we are good enough to challenge for the title as long as Jose is here but winning it is a different matter. It is not like we are short of money either, City shown that FFP is in the bin now(as UEFA admitted a few weeks ago) so why the hell are we still trying to play by the rule when it is clear no one is following it. Just go out there and throw 40m on someone like Reus/Isco/Gotze. Boom AM section sorted for a few years.
-
then they sign Lacazette and you get perma banned for jinxing
-
For Juve or Inter?
-
CL win doesn't always purely based on quality though, in fact this Barca triumpth last season was the 1st time in a long time a team actually won the competition having dominated every single game they played and didn't rely on luck. Bayern 12-13 with that Arsenal at home moment, Barca 09 with Overebo and Iniesta last min goal, MU 08 Anelka miss, Inter extremely lucky against Barca in the 2nd leg by parking a plane and Barca having a goal ruled out, Barca 11 with Madrid having one of their best player sent off after 1st half of semi final, us miracle 2012, Real Ramos header in 2014. It requires luck most of the time just as much as quality. PSG down to 10 men against us last season but scored 2 late set piece goals where we are ironically one of the strongest team in the world at. Hell even Arsenal can win CL next season with extreme luck, they are good enough.
-
City to win the quadruple after signing him too?
