  1. Woulda been sweet if his volley went in, caught it so nicely but at least we scored off it like Sunderland home.
  2. So.... it ended 1-4. Next.
  3. Even when we beat them 4-2 they got a dodgy arsed penalty. That match was epic, the video was done very nicely btw. Cech - Valdes Terry - Puyol Lampard - Xavi Plus Ferreira. Drogba, and Iniesta still there from that epic.
  4. Fuck sake another game on Monday.... I dunno what to say, i'll be pretty surprised if we win here tbh. Last year we played em on a Monday night on Valentines day, Luiz gave a last minute penalty away but Cech saved the point in a 0-0er. Torres missed a hat full. Fulham actually look quite good under Jol, quite nice football they're playing now. They must be pretty fresh, will be very difficult. Could lose it.
  5. Complete bullshit. How come i never read this 6 years ago? Del Horno got a very controversial red card whiich wasn't even justified. Oh there's a surprise. They obviously hate Real Madrid more than us. I hope Essien or Mikel get him with a dirt challenge anyway.
  6. Ferreira deserves his shot at RB. Romeu needs to get back into the picture. He was great against them in the CC.
  7. I think De Bruyne should come into the squad next season for sure. Fuck the loans, we don't have enough quality to just let ppl go on loan somewhere.
  8. He's not exactly miles offside is he? Benefit of the doubt goes to the striker. He's a yard offside at most.
  9. Well if we play 1 striker it's gonna be a bit unlikely isn't it.
  10. Winning being shit is better than losing playing well. This was that horrible game to get out the way. It's now over and we won it. I'd love to know what that lino was thinking not giving the offside but who the fuck really cares. We're right up the yids arses now. Feels good
  11. Funny seeing the advertising for PS2 around the pitch in 05.
  12. I'm sure we have Tottenham on the 15th, Barcelona on the 18th and then Arsenal on the 21st then Barcelona again on the 24th. That's ultimately ridiculously insane.
  13. Drogba will be banned for the final if he rants like that lol and we'll definitely wear the white away. This vid gets u in the mood for it. I was mega pissed off 3 years ago like everyone. Went n got a kebab after the game and the ppl in ther asked what was the score. Nearly caused a lot of aggro, they obviously knew the score. I hate barca fan boys too. If we knocked em out it would be the greatest thing ever. Anyway someone needs to start the Chelsea vs Barcelona thread, seriously.
  14. It's a big summer to get the right Winger, holding midfielder (perhaps Romeu will get his chance) and creative playmaker. We need those 3 signings to go back up a level. We're not far away but we're still far enough. We have the defence, we can wait a year for a striker imo, the other areas are more important. If you create, you will score. Our play is slow and very stuttery. The teams from 2009 wont be that different tho, will they? It's only the ages that make us worse off than in 2009. This time, they'll run rings around us in the middle. I'm so scared of this. We need Ramires, Mata and Romeu as the midfield 3 instead of Lampard, Essien and Mikel at home. That's a risk, but you have to play the opposition. Lampard, Essien and Mikel wont be able to handle the quickness of Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas. I hope Romeu stays, he has a good future ahead of him. He's already almost ready for the big time already judging by his previous displays. Anyway, i'm going slightly off topic now. Maybe the Chelsea vs Barcelona thread should just be created now, i'm sure that's all we're gonna talk about for 2 weeks anyway.
  15. The west stand is much worse for that lol. Suits n sandwiches and not being on time and always getting up and on mobile phones etc, etc. Usually the most expensive seasts too so no reason to sit there. I went there because they were the last available tickets. Now i know why. Never again. Was a UCL game against Atletico Madrid. I think even Kalou scored 2 (and missed an open goal) that day. Matthew Harding is the place to be.
  16. Depends where i sit really, i kinda follow what the people around me are doing. In the MHL we simply are not allowed to stop singing or we get looked at with the evil glare lol but in the West Upper, it's pathetically quiet so me n my brother sing a bit with around a group of 5-10. We try to get the MHL songs to go around but it works very rarely so i just sit n watch. Was in the Wast Upper right at the back against the wall with a shitty view so we just stood up the whole time with the shit fans who didn't even wear and Chelsea gear or barely even know the players. I wished i'd stayed at home altho we won 4-0. Didn't enjoy it at all. In the East Upper, it's not so bad. I quite like it up there. I sing anywhere tho if i've had at least 3 pints before the game. Usually get there about 2 hours before KO. I admit, i occasionally leave 5 minutes before the end if it's a late KO, like we did for the APOEL game and missed their equaliser because when it's a 10pm finish, getting home can be a bit of a bitch when you have work the next day. But 95% of the time, i stay til the end. I've done all the options but genarally i sing and i stay. I enjoy standing up for 90 minutes singing with all i can til i have no voice. I love my team.
  17. Real Madrid could ruin any managers records. Always been shakey at the back.
  18. I would play Mikel ahead of Romeu against Barca but i genuinely believe that Mikel & Essien are too slow together and will get taken apart against Xavi, Fabregas and Iniesta in the Middle. Romeu is quicker and has better reactions imo plus is technically good.
  19. Inevitable team to play Barcelona Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Mikel - Essien Sturridge - Lampard - Mata Drogba
  20. The only English players i'd accept are maybe Defoe, Adam Johnson, Chamberlain, and Young. Maybe Milner as a CM. There are quality British players about but not as many as so many other counties. We aren't as technically good as too many top football playing nations. We may do ok in the prem (5th, 6th max) but we'd never be in the UCL and we'd never win anything. Sad to say, but true. We need to tech our youngsters how to pass and move instead of whacking the ball 60 yards.
  21. Yeah, Jose's organisation made this record what it is and that's why, despite only having 3 years here, he'll always be a Chelsea legend. He knew that nobody was gonna come to his house and call the shots. Ruthless team. Wish we were still like this at home. It's been awful the last 3 years.
  22. He had a couple of iffy games but he had some very good games too. He's not gonna be constantly awesome straight away. Players get consistent by playing matches. He's not a robot. He's also better than Mikel already!
  23. The amazing record breaking home run of 86 games that lasted for nearly 5 years. It started with Ranieri and ended with Scolari. 60 of these wins were under Jose Mourinho. From losing 2-1 to Arsenal on the 21st February 2004 to losing to Liverpool 1-0 on the 26th October 2008. One hell of an Achievement and one that may never be beaten. 03/04 1) Saturday, March 20th, 2004 - Chelsea 2-1 Fulham 2) Saturday, March 27th, 2004 - Chelsea 5-2 Wolves 3) Saturday, April 10th, 2004 - Chelsea 0-0 Middlesbrough 4) Saturday, April 17th, 2004 - Chelsea 0-0 Everton 5) Saturday, May 1st, 2004 - Chelsea 4-0 Southampton 6) Saturday, May 15th, 2004 - Chelsea 1-0 Leeds 04/05 7) Sunday, August 15th, 2004 - Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United 8) Saturday, August 28th, 2004 - Chelsea 2-1 Southampton 9) Sunday, September 19th, 2004 - Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham 10) Sunday, October 3rd, 2004 - Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool 11) Saturday, October 23rd, 2004 - Chelsea 4-0 Blackburn 12) Saturday, November 6th, 2004 - Chelsea 1-0 Everton 13) Saturday, November 20th, 2004 - Chelsea 2-2 Bolton 14) Saturday, December 4th, 2004 - Chelsea 4-0 Newcastle 15) Saturday, December 18th, 2004 - Chelsea 4-0 Norwich 16) Sunday, December 26th, 2004 - Chelsea 1-0 Aston Villa 17) Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 - Chelsea 2-0 Middlesbrough 18) Saturday, January 22nd, 2005 - Chelsea 3-0 Portsmouth 19) Sunday, February 6th, 2005 - Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City 20) Tuesday, March 16th, 2005 - Chelsea 1-0 West Brom 21) Saturday, March 19th, 2005 - Chelsea 4-1 Crystal Palace 22) Saturday, April 9th, 2005 - Chelsea 1-1 Birmingham 23) Wednesday, April 20th, 2005 - Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal 24) Saturday, April 23rd, 2005 - Chelsea 3-1 Fulham 25) Saturday, May 7th, 2005 - Chelsea 1-0 Charlton 05/06 26) Sunday, August 21st, 2005 - Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal 27) Wednesday, August 24th, 2005 - Chelsea 4-0 West Brom 28) Saturday, September 10th, 2005 - Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland 29) Saturday, 24th September, 2005 - Chelsea 2-1 Aston Villa 30) Saturday, October 15th, 2005 - Chelsea 5-1 Bolton 31) Saturday, October 29th, 2005 - Chelsea 4-2 Blackburn 32) Saturday, November 19th, 2005 - Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle 33) Saturday, December 3rd, 2005 - Chelsea 1-0 Middlesbrough 34) Saturday, December 10th, 2005 - Chelsea 1-0 Wigan 35) Monday, December 26th, 2005 - Chelsea 3-2 Fulham 36) Saturday, December 31st 2005 - Chelsea 2-0 Birmingham 37) Sunday, January 22nd, 2006 - Chelsea 1-1 Charlton 38) Sunday, February 5th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool 39) Saturday, February 25th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-0 Portsmouth 40) Saturday, March 11th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham 41) Saturday, March 25th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-0 Manchester City 42) Sunday, April 9th, 2006 - Chelsea 4-1 West Ham 43) Monday, April 17th, 2006 - Chelsea 3-0 Everton 44) Saturday, April 29th, 2006 - Chelsea 3-0 Manchester United 06/07 45) Sunday, August 20th, 2006 - Chelsea 3-0 Manchester City 46) Saturday, September 9th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-1 Charlton 47) Sunday, September 17th, 2006 - Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool 48) Saturday, September 17th, 2006 - Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa 49) Saturday, October 21st, 2006 - Chelsea 2-1 Portsmouth 50) Saturday, November 11th, 2006 - Chelsea 4-0 Watford 51) Saturday, November 18th, 2006 - Chelsea 1-0 West Ham 52) Sunday, December 10th, 2006 - Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal 53) Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 - Chelsea 1-0 Newcastle 54) Tuesday, December 26th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-2 Reading 55) Saturday, December 30th, 2006 - Chelsea 2-2 Fulham 56) Saturday, January 13th, 2007 - Chelsea 4-0 Wigan 57) Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 - Chelsea 3-0 Blackburn 58) Saturday, February 10th, 2007 - Chelsea 3-0 Middlesbrough 59) Saturday, March 17th, 2007 - Chelsea 3-0 Sheffield United 60) Saturday, April 7th, 2007 - Chelsea 1-0 Tottenham 61) Saturday, April 28th, 2007 - Chelsea 2-2 Bolton 62) Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 - Chelsea 0-0 Manchester United 63) Sunday, May 19th, 2007 - Chelsea 1-1 Everton 07/08 64) Sunday, August 12th, 2007 - Chelsea 3-2 Birmingham 65) Saturday, August 25th, 2007 - Chelsea 1-0 Portsmouth 66) Saturday, September 15th, 2007 - Chelsea 0-0 Blackburn 67) Saturday, September 29th, 2007 - Chelsea 0-0 Fulham 68) Saturday, October 27th, 2007 - Chelsea 6-0 Manchester City 69) Sunday, November 11th, 2007 - Chelsea 1-1 Everton 70) Saturday, December 1st, 2007 - Chelsea 1-0 West Ham 71) Saturday, December 8th, 2007 - Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland 72) Wednesday, December 26th, 2007 - Chelsea 4-4 Aston Villa 73) Saturday, 29th December, 2007 - Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle 74) Sunday, January 12th, 2008 - Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham 75) Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 - Chelsea 1-0 Reading 76) Sunday, February 10th, 2008 - Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool 77) Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 - Chelsea 6-1 Derby 78) Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 - Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal 79) Sunday, Match 30th, 2008 - Chelsea 1-0 Middlesbrough 80) Monday, April 14th, 2008 - Chelsea 1-1 Wigan 81) Saturday, April 26th, 2008 - Chelsea 2-1 Manchester United 82) Sunday, May 11th, 2008 - Chelsea 1-1 Bolton 08/09 83) Sunday, August 17th, 2008 - Chelsea 4-0 Portsmouth 84) Sunday, August 31st, 2008 - Chelsea 1-1 Tottenham 85) Sunday, September 21st, 2008 - Chelsea 1-1 Manchester United 86) Sunday, October 5th, 2008 - Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa
  24. Forget British players, unless you want us to be like Liverpool. I don't know what's going on with this fifa fair play home grown rule stuff but in todays football you just need to get the best players and nurture your own as well if possible. It needs to have a bit of a mix. Benfica had no portuguese players against us, Inter had no Italians in the 2010 UCL final. I swear it's only England moaning at the lack of their own players. We're just like everybody else except Athletic Bilbao who are absolutely 1st class at what they do. Kenny Dalglish still thinks it's 1986.
